Almost 90 pounds for this little food feels quite expensive. I must admit I am highly skeptical of this diet. I don't doubt you'll lose weight, and probably quite a bit, but if you do it by starving yourself, as soon as you'll be off the diet, you'll get it right back on. And losing to much weight too fast isn't healthy, despite what a lot of companies/medias/"health" professional will have you think. I know a lot of people like to see you suffer, I'm more here for curiosity's sake. I wanna see what the next meal holds, and want to know if you enjoy it. I hope you don't feel too miserable by the end of this.
That’s the point of most of these diets. They teach you nothing about sensible eating and life style change but they do make you lose weight. Then when you gain it all back and usually more on top you end up back doing it again as it works. It’s the perfect pyramid scheme.
I've been on a vlcd diet for nearly 3 months now, not Lighter Life but something similar. What happens is that during the first week a few pounds of water weight comes off, this will go back on when you finish the diet, but then your body goes into ketosis after about 3 days if the carbs are low enough and with ketosis your hunger is drastically reduced, so you don't feel starving at all and your body adapts to burning fat over sugar. My stomach is comfortable 90% of the time i'd say. You can indeed keep the weight off as long as you figure out your maintenance calories after. Obviously people that go back to eating exactly as they were before will put it back on, would be the same with any other short term diet too. I've found that the diet has completely cleared up my IBS and acid reflux, which bothered me every day, so i'm quite enjoying myself so far.
@@distortedclarity89 that's it really. Simple maths, calories in needs to be less than calories out, if it is healthy for people to lose weight then they should. If someone says "but muh low metabolism" then that's fine, that means you need to eat less, as slow metabolism people won't get as hungry as quickly as high metabolism people. Also the range between the lowest low metabolism people and the highest high metabolism people are only around 500 calories, so there's no excuse for them to be eating 2500 calories per day and then blaming a slow metabolism.
Yay another week on! I only started watching you a few weeks ago, I've had a binge lol you're now in my top 3 with Ashens and Barry Lewis. Loving the content, thanks!

I could be wrong but I think the stock drink is because on such a restricted diet you will lack salt. Whilst too much is terrible for you, having non in your diet is a very bad idea, will make you feel terrible
Wow I can't believe they sell this. That's dangerously low and unsustainable calorie intake. No stomach will ever shrink to that, and my mind would just want to binge after

It's not 'dangerously low' unless it becomes a long term lifestyle. As a short term diet, your body is perfectly capable of not eating a things for days on end. Stop listening to the idiot blood sugar police.
I did one of those diets before, it's awful. It started out ok, but after a couple of days you start to feel very tired. Once you get over that you start to feel good and you lose a lot of weight. A couple of weeks later the food gets really boring despite being allowed to eat an unlimited amount of certain vegetables. Once I stopped the diet a regained all weight. I would not recommend that diet, doing it for one week is too short to get the full effect anyway. Can you do a month on intuitive eating? It made me get to a good weight that I feel happy with.
90 is a HUGE ripoff for some dehydrated food packs (worth about .25c each) and concentrated broth worth even less. There might be $10 worth of food in the whole box - and no this isn't premium special formulas or anything he shows the ingredients on some of it and it's shitty dollar store stuff. Lol
Bloody hell that's expensive that's 3 weeks worth of shopping for me, how do ppl pay this amount for so little food just count calories in cheaper alternatives
Losing 'a stone a week' means losing loads of water weight. Most of it will go straight back on. Losing weight that quickly also leads to a much greater risk of losing muscle mass, which isn't a good thing for body composition.
A work colleague tried this and she lost so much weight BUT the second she went back to eating proper meals, the weight piled back on. Expensive and honestly, not sustainable by what I've seen...
