It's great when companies offer a discount at a local gym for their employees as it encourages people to sign up but no it should not be mandated .. Unless it's paid time off. The company I work for now and the company I used to work for both have a month each year where the employees (those that want to participate) are put in 2 groups and all physical activities are given points and at the end the team that wins, money is donated to a charity. Good competition and also gets everyone out there and move. Which is good for us all especially those that work at home or in office where we sit down all day long.

You just know that if WORK forces it, it does not mean that they give employees TIME off work to do it. Employers are just going to say use your break or lunch which defeats the whole idea

I would not yet want another thing at work to be mandated. Give people options about what works for them. Time to even have a lunch break; time to participate in activities other than work over lunch; choice to work through lunch if coming to an end to a project and it will help you feel better to push through; flexible hours of work; flexible work weeks; daycare in the workplace; pay raises….ask employees what they want and need. Don’t assume.

Melissa needs to read the room. Nobody wants to be forced to do anything as a full functioning adult.

Workplaces have no right to implement anything other than a job description. You are paid to do a job. Really pious and arrogant to make any employee subscribe to any type of wellness blather. Other than what is in your contract. Corporations have way too much power anyway.
