The way you exercise in front of them while they play is setting such a GREAT example of self-care and health! You may not even think twice about it but it positively impacts them already!
I remember my mom doing sit-ups as we sat down to eat our oats before school.
It shows that you don’t have to wait for the perfect conditions to exercise, you just get it done no matter your circumstances.
They’re watching you, and you’re doing amazing!

Agreed. A lot of moms will say they don't have time to exercise but I have a 7, 6 and 2 year old and a super busy pet sitting business plus our own pets and I still find time to exercise when they are playing even if it means that I have to work out in their play room and use the 2 year old as a weight. Lol.

I have anxiety and I totally can empathize with that short of breath feeling. My therapist said when people with anxiety have that feeling, often their diaphragm is not engaged properly. To help with that, I’ve found taking AS DEEP a breath as I can manage (which sometimes isn’t a lot), holding it for 8 seconds, and then doing a few quick ab flexes can help “reset” or “wake up” my diaphragm. Just a thought, maybe it’ll help you or anyone else reading this!

Something I find really helpful for anxiety and feeling like you are out of breath is to do a 4 count breathing exercise. So you inhale for 4 counts, hold your breath 4 counts, and then exhale 4 counts. Repeat 4 times and you will feel your anxiety melt away!! ♥️

@@BriannaK I learned this method as well it's called box breathing, the specialist who taught me this reminded me to really take my time when breathing with this excersize bc if you aren't careful you can actually hyperventilate and then of course it's the opposite reaction than what your trying to achieve ❤️

We try to eat tons of fresh produce also. We love putting broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels on sheet pans. Roast them in oven. I’m telling you you will love the broccoli. You want it to turn blacker and look more burnt. Delish! I roast at 400 and use avacado oil (higher heat) and just season well with salt garlic powder onion powder and pepper! Great way to get veggies in. We usually eat some chicken with it and a kale salad also.

I had a lot of anxiety after my second baby. Switching to a paleo based diet helped tremendously. Maybe look into that? Dairy and grains can be a big trigger for some people.
I had a pediatrician tell me once not to look at each day at what the kids eat, but look at what they have eaten that week, with in a few days, or even the month as a whole. This has helped me not to worry so much about what my kids eat as long as they are trying new things, eating whole foods, etc..instead of all the "normal" kids stuff all the time (mac n cheese, chicken nuggets, hot dogs, pizza...etc.).

I had the exact same issue with a crushing feeling in my chest where I couldn’t breathe several months ago! It’s great to make sure everything is okay. I had blood work and they even did a CT scan, but everything came back clear. My doctor said it was anxiety induced panic attacks and once I knew that, I started doing things in my life to reduce my anxiety. I’ve only felt like that twice ever since!! And both times I was able to calm myself down and make that feeling go away since I knew what was causing me anxiety. Hope you start feeling better soon!

Hi I'm Victoria and I'm a 17 year old from Michigan. I deal with anxiety all the time because I am a worry-wart😂 2 years ago I cut out caffeine and it decreased the amount of headaches and migraines I get, it cut out unnecessary calories from sugary drinks, and my anxiety had gotten better from it. The only caffeine I drink is the occasional decaf coffee because I love coffee😂 Couldn't recommend cutting out caffeine enough! The first week is so hard because you go through caffeine withdrawal, but the effects are so worth it! I love you and your channel so much! Hi Bri! I learned a new thing when you said just keep putting a variety of foods on your kids plate bc it helps in the long run. It also reminded me that sometimes kids probably fast when their bodies need rest from digesting food to put energy toward other things that are developing. Also, if Presley isn’t sick that could be a food allergy (pink cheeks and runny nose). I know when I have wheat products my cheeks get red for a few hours and sometimes I’ll get bumps on my cheeks that look like zits but it’s really hives bc it is usually gone by the next day. I’m curious to know what your iron levels are since you’ve been short of breath a lot. I hope you start feeling better soon!! 😄

Thank you for normalising talking about anxiety. More of us suffer with it than we know because it’s not often discussed. I have been hating on myself for my heart symptoms because I’m currently overweight (but losing it thanks to the Mediterranean diet). The fact that you suffer similar symptoms too and are very fit, shows that any of us can suffer anxiety and it’s not our fault. Though I am very committed to improving my health regardless. I tried the Mediterranean diet for my anxiety too! It worked really well while I did it. I also started taking lifelong vitality supplements from doterra. That was about 2 years ago. I still take the supplements but the diet only lasted about 6 months. My husband and I just started it over again this week tho! I have high hopes😄
I have the exact same anxiety symptoms as you. A super deep breath can really help. And drinking water. My essential oils from doterra that I use to snap me out of it are Digestzen, Citrus bliss, and Adaptiv. If I catch my anxiety early enough those will stop a panic attack or at least make it a mild one.
Not gonna lie I still have them often enough that it disrupts my life. But that’s why I’m starting the diet again! Here’s hoping it helps.❤️❤️❤️

Hi. I’m just starting the Mediterranean diet. Or lifestyle I should say. Today is only day one. From everything I’ve researched, I honestly think this is the best choice. So, I’m scooping up all the tips and information I can!! Thank you so much!

I am like you. I am Italian and I have a 20 months old daughter that started to eat our food when I started solids basically. I home made pretty much everything. She can be peaky with certain things. I also make sure she has different alternatives at each meal. It’s a lot of work and sometimes we throw food away. I would rather work hard now and give her multiple choices than have eating problems when she is older.

So good!! Another fun thing to add to Chili (or almost any soup!) is a bag of riced cauliflower it really bulks it up and is so good for you!

Something that helps me with anxiety is deep breathing, but I visualize my anxiety is butterflies in my stomach and take as many deep breaths as I need to get all the butterflies out. It helps!
Or I’ll do grounding techniques and work through all 5 senses to keep myself from spiraling.

I'm not finished your vlog yet, my 18 month old also didn't always eat chili until I started adding rice to it so it was a much thicker texture & consistency, I add quite a bit of rice to it, I've been doing this for months now and my daughter eats alot more when I add the rice, just a thought, your kiddos might like it too 😉 Hugs from Canada 🤗🇨🇦😘😘 I love your channel. I used to be an Early childhood educator before I was a SAHM ❤️

Have you read “Grace not perfection “? It’s my new motto for 2019. I just want to live a life of peace and grace, and freedom of my own self made ideals of what a ‘perfect’ life looks like. I just want to appreciate my life every moment, and not a life of comparison. Best of luck!!

I've been listening to ASMR since my anxiety has kicked up since having a baby..whenever my girl is napping or I just feel extra on edge.. I need to seriously try this Mediterranean diet.. I hate the restriction of a typical diet. No caffeine or low caffeine (I opt for the pink drink and get the caffeine from the green coffee in that drink) has definitely helped me as well in combination of CBD oil at night when my brain LOVES to not shut off and just races!

Brianna K oh absolutely! I started reading on my YouBible app every night they have a little section you can choose to pray and read about and I’ve been loving the mental health prayers and listening to them at night as well or whenever I need a breather and to feel refreshed.

I’ve recently been struggling with my toddler when feeding him. I like the idea of putting 5 things in front of him and seeing what he will eat, because you’re right, it’s easy to give him soup or pasta because I know he’ll eat that.

I do yoga and take walks, but I did a 30 yoga challenge and did yoga everyday for January. Even 30 mins made me feel so much better mind and body. I think it is all about finding something that you will keep coming back to. if you hate your workout you will find reasons to not do it. Also don't eat like crap. :)

I'm so glad yy talked about the struggles with feeding toddlers! I have a 15m old and that has been the biggest stress for me so far in parenting. I stress about it literally everyday. Breastfeeding was so much easier 😂 I'm like you, I was getting frustrated that I was wasting all this time making dinners and she wouldn't eat to. Dinner is always the struggle for us because of meats and veggies. I just keep doing my thing though and offering 🤷🏻‍♀️
