Well i was a bit supprised when i saw this mission and realized it was mine. Glad you enjoyed it (and thanks for recommending it). Believe it or not, that was the loadout used for this mission. I believe it was the first use of the droptank on an apache just to accomplish the mission. Also they followed pavelows as the AH-64a didnt have a really good INS. Obviously the one we have in DCS does, but wanted to keep it similar to real life.
Excellent job on the mission, thanks for making it!
I remember when the war started, ( i was 14 at the time) all anyone could talk about was the F-117's and the PGM's that were being deplyed and how effective they were. I wasn't until I watched a documentary on the first day of the war when I found out about what the apache's did. The skill it took to pull this mission off was mind blowing. They had some brass one's, no doubt about ti!
Yeah man absolutely! The precision and endurance necessary to pull it off is mind boggling
Currently learning the Mudhen, but this makes me want to jump back into the Apache and relearn what I've forgotten, lol. Oh, you're the first person I've heard call it "P N V S" 😂
Mudhen is awesome too! And you have to be real careful how you pronounce things with UA-cam lol
@@RaptorRising I'm sure you're joking, because everyone else that I'm talking about (Casmo, etc) are on UA-cam lol
PVMS is better to fly at night over knight goggles. As yiu have you speed, alt in the read out. I found it helps if you use a straight ahead static view in the AH-64D when PVMS by disabling head tracker.
Without a doubt the situational awareness is much better, but it can be uncomfortable in VR for extended amounts of time. There are tradeoffs to both but I agree with you for the most part
Know your route and all the moving parts and you can fly by PNVS. It’ll relax your eyes until you get to the target area. Unless you are not lead, then you’ll be on nods just do a pilot controls change to split up duties and manage fatigue.
I imagine it's probably more comfortable in real life vs a VR headset, but good suggestion!
is it becuase of VR the eye peace looks so cool, in base game i can not get it to look like that ?
Yeah it looks completely different in VR
