    Love this channel! Very practical advice. Even tidbits of his advice relieve pain. He was explaining what NOT to do for knee pain and a tiny bit that I remembered was for knee pain and GENTLY stretching your leg BACK. One day I was sitting too long, knees bent and my knee started aching and locking. I stood up, took a deep breath and gently (as comfortable) moved my leg backward and forward a few times and it felt wonderful. Only then did I take a step. I find listening to my body and always being gentle works best.

    Months ago my knee swelled up randomly throughout the night, and it hurt and had limited movement, then it went away, started back up again a couple weeks later and I was getting slight fevers, went back to normal again and now it started swelling again but it’s at the bottom of the thigh above the knee, I almost have full range of motion and no pain, and if I tighten my knees it will go back to normal, but if I fully straighten them then it’s puffy looking, i don’t have insurance but I did go to a walk In clinic the second time and they said about tendinitis but I was thinking it was bursitis from the fevers, I’m really active and can still move around and everything, I’ve just been dealing with it, I don’t take medicine or nothing, I know wild medicine plants that helped with it, I’m only 28, I do lots of hiking and in shape, at my job tho I do alot of sitting compared to my old job, I’ve been trying to move more, I just wish it would go away, seems fine for awhile and can hike 20 miles no problem then one day it just comes back out of nowhere, sorry for the long message

    Hi Dr David Is all swelling around the knee bursitis? Thank you for these videos😊

      Hey Caroline! Swelling around the knee is commonly inflammation from arthritis. Swelling from bursitis is normally only in a small radius around the bursa itself! Hope this helps!

    Hi there 😊 could you tell me please..while healing knee bursitis do you recommend continuing cycling? This would be about 5 km on flat ground. No pain whilst doing this. Thankyou for this info.

    I collided knee on knee with an opponent in a soccer game and the knee kinda buckled backwards, the pain is behind the knee cap, and on top of the knee, in the beginning I felt like there was loose small peace of mater on the side of the knee like a peace of bone, but now after the 3 weeks the swelling has decreased, but the pain on the upper part on the thigh still reoccur 😢, please advice me

    I have osteoarthritis in both knees and back. Does this have connection to bursitis?

    • @epmanualphysicaltherapy
      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  10 місяців тому +1

      Hey Barb! More likely than not, this is due to a combination of age, overuse, having an underlying muscle imbalance and genetics. A bursitis commonly happens due to overuse as well. Osteoarthritis can be managed via exercise and proper care, not necessarily stemming from injections or surgery. Here are some more videos that could be helpful:

    Started doing all your glute strengthening for what I’m pretty sure is pes aserine pain . Seeing a Dr next week. Had to stop walking . I’m very active , but even biking is bothering it.
    How do I engage glutes when biking since it seems mostly to work quads.

      @epmanualphysicaltherapy  9 місяців тому +1

      Hi Joyce, Great question. Dr. David has a video discussing this biking and glute activity. You can access it here: How To Use A Stationary Bike To Help Heal Knee Arthritis"
      ua-cam.com/video/3fmTsQxm5x8/v-deo.html
      The title states is for knee arthritis but it pertains to any knee issues.
      We'd love to hear how you are doing as you progress.🙌 Please take care! 🧡

      @@epmanualphysicaltherapy thanks for the prompt response . I’m going to take your 28 day class also . It’s killing me to give up activities that I love , I’m only going to the Dt to get diagnosed , then I’ll do whatever I have to at home and the gym to get myself better. I’ve avoided 2 surgeries in the past by doing this and gained full range of motion with a full rotator tear !
