Rob’s Oxford. The Youtube channel for videos on Oxford city, the university, the colleges and people

Rob is a qualified long-term Oxford guide, a resident of the city and someone who has written numerous books about the place. This video is a trailer introducing the many videos that he has produced since 2020.
Those covering Oxford University and its colleges focus on the iconic buildings including the Radcliffe Camera and Sheldonian, plus the most beautiful colleges including Magdalen and Christ Church. There’s a video about the top colleges (Merton, Magdalen, New) and another describing the oldest colleges starting with University College and Balliol right through to All Souls and Magdalen. And there’s even a video on an invisible college on the Rob’s Oxford channel.
Rob also dives below ground to take you into Oxford’s secret tunnels and then up again to visit the many pubs of the city including the Lamb and Flag and that hidden gem The Turf.
Famous people of Oxford are not forgotten. Those already covered include JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis and Cecil Rhodes plus Indira Ghandi, Benazir Bhutto and Margaret Thatcher. And there are more are in the pipeline.
One of Rob’s videos explains how Oxford has been crowned top university in the world for seven years running and another asks why it has produced so many UK Prime ministers including: Harold Wilson, Harold Macmillan, Tony Blair, Boris Johnson, David Cameron, Liz Truss, William Gladstone and Rishi Sunak.
Not all the videos are of a serious nature.
