    Keep using the buckets. Dont shovel directly into the hopper

    • @LearntoProspectGoldenAce
      @LearntoProspectGoldenAce  Рік тому +3

      What makes you say that? I use as many buckets for the initial feed as I have, but I do shovel out of the concrete mixing tubs, and then shovel out of them when I rerun the tailings as well. What difference do you think it makes? Just the little bit that falls out of the shovel on transit? Thanks again for checking out my video, makes my day to know you watched it. Love your stuff.

      IMO I brake for bedrock are the top dogs for dry washing, I’m not arguing. The vast majority of what I know about dry washing came from them. However like most things in life it’s better to understand the why behind something rather than just accepting a truth. I use plenty of 5 gallon buckets to feed. Ironically I had just bought the tubs this trip to make emptying the riffle trays easier, since the 5 gallon buckets are too tall and the 2 gallons not wide enough. And P.S. thanks for the subscribe and taking the time to respond

      @@LearntoProspectGoldenAce the easiest way for me to put it into words: when you shovel 100 times above your waist and twist it’s a lot more work than filling buckets and dumping them into the top of your drywasher, less physical work and more efficient for continuous feeding of material

      Ayyy. There we go, thank you. There’s definitely some logic there. As someone with mild scoliosis I’ll definitely take that into consideration. That’s one point I always like to make about finding more gold. There’s a few factors that determine how much gold we find. What’s in the dirt, method of prospecting, time to spend, and physical energy available. Improving that physical efficiency can add up in the vial. Thanks for the input 🙏

    Dude, That lil shaker flow control rod is a Absolute Great Idea for the plugging prone Royals! I like it!! 👍
    I cut out the diamond mesh on my Royal,(it let in to much long jagged rocks n twigs like a royal beaver dam! Haha
    and now have a 1/4" stainless cloth.. like (Adam n Boulderdash) have on one of their Keene's...
    Our SoCal club claims, have smallz n pickers.. so for me, any gold bigger than 1/4, a detector should find...
    i do like that flow control rod tho.. whata great lil add on! I also use a 18" Paint Roller PAN.. it lays flat against the Royal legs and under the riffle box and has a handle.. it works decently...

      The video was filmed in NM, but I’m currently house sitting in Denver, CO. And ya the power setup was something I’d been thinking about, but the trigger got pulled when my storage unit in Reno NV got robbed. They stole my nice gas leaf blower, a cordless dewalt vac, and a few other perfect things to pawn. Since I drive an Outback, carrying gas sucks with my limited payload and obviously not wanting to smell it.
      What questions did you have? Always tough in videos. Don’t want to spend too much time on one thing. People don’t want to see too much shoveling, too much talking, too much explaining on gear, only thing you can’t show too much of is gold!

    • @LearntoProspectGoldenAce
      @LearntoProspectGoldenAce  Рік тому +3

      You're correct, it does have that ability. When reading through the instruction manual it did suggest not to do so. I'm inept when it comes to electrical stuff so I've been leaning on the side of caution most of the time. Occasionally I have used it while charging, but generally try to avoid it. I rarely do run out of power though. I can do at least 3 full runs one one full charge, so as long as I get a little charging time after prospecting for the day and while I'm waking up in the morning it's nearly endless power. Only once I have I run out to the point where it kept me from prospecting. Thanks for the input though, I'll look into it further in the future. Hope you enjoyed regardless!

      GPAA mean Gold Prospecting Association of America. It's the largest gold prospecting club and has a really large amount of claims ~300 all over the country (though mostly in the Western US). It's one of, if not the cheapest clubs to join given their scale. It's the way I started, and many others, as they do large meetings where 100+ people meet up to do a group dig. That's a great way to start as everyone there is really open to sharing advice about how to get started, the limited gear you should start out buying, and giving you some good places to start digging.
      My membership cost is $7/mo currently. Others will argue that the claims are no good as the amount of gold you can find isn't as high as if you own your own claim. That may be true, but as evidenced in this video the gold is still there. For $7 I find it extremely hard to complain. The effort involved in finding your own claim is significant, lengthy, a little bit expensive, and very overwhelming for someone just getting started. I'd highly recommend signing up for GPAA as your first place to start, and then in the future look at other groups or finding your own claim. Good luck!

      Unfortunately you’re not wrong, I recently had two guys 40+ y/o firing off their 9mm with me and my tent 100 yds to one side and another couple 50 yds on their other side. Heard the ricochets whizzing by me as they shot into the bedrock… Needless to say they got an earful.
      I do appreciate there’s risk in sharing, but I’m a gold miner, semi pro poker player (hence the name Golden Ace), financial advisor, and lifelong gun enthusiast. I’m not afraid of risk and I’m unwilling to let some entitled punks take away my happiness or keep me from sharing it with others. I wish them luck if it comes down to it. When I trained for a concealed handgun license back when it was required in Texas, out of the 40 ppl in the class, only myself and 2 others would scare me. I’ll just have to hope they are one of the 37. Stay safe out there brother! 💪

      @@LearntoProspectGoldenAce @lostminer didn't specify if it was a GPAA claim(guessing not) or abandoned, but if it had ounce + nuggets like they claimed, why would they not have first staked it and claimed it? Even Hiring a staking company would cost about half of one ounce, so that is fishy and makes no sense to make a bonanza discovery and not stake claim on it immediately. So unless @lostminer provides proof, I'm calling bs. Furthermore that's why I asked where the location is. If they are afraid that's fine, but I'll do due diligence and see what the status is and go from there. It's very simple after that.

      I just assumed given his warning about posting GPAA footage that he was implying it was a GPAA claim, however you’re right that he never said so outright. Always hard to say what’s real/fake online in a video, let alone in comments. Guess we’ll never know, but it would make a little sense to be threatened when the gold is at least really good. I certainly wasn’t coming after you by any means. Just saying it’s not always easy to get justice in the boonies.
      In my life the law has been more interested in arresting for meaningless stuff than actually helping. I decided not to drunk drive in Dallas one time, and tried to just walk home. I was too drunk, so I passed out on a park bench. They arrested me for “sleeping in public”. Yes that’s illegal in Dallas. Justice was definitely served. But hey when they I got robbed in Reno they wouldn’t even take my 911 call report. Justice at its finest.

      Oh nice, hadn't heard of that claim before. Been a while since I've looked around the NM map of claims for GPAA, so it seems that's a fairly recent addition. I see the comment on the website you're referring to. Generally there isn't supposed to be locked gates on public (BLM land), so if you encounter that I'd contact the local BLM office. You should be able to pass through, but I'm not an expert so I'd double check with them. I also noticed the claim owner commented on the claim info and mentioned to avoid using GPS to drive in as it'll mislead you, so be careful that you're prepared for the trek. Good luck on both claims!
      P.S. Greyback is the easiest claim to access that I've ever been to. Right off a well maintained highway and probably only 300 yrds of graded gravel road that any 2x4 car can drive into.

    The easiest and most beneficial way to find the most concentrated pockets of placer gold is to learn how to dowse for gold. Read and study the book, The Art of Dowsing - Separating Science from Superstition ($14.95), for learning all of the physics involved in dowsing and how to build the modern light weight ball bearing dowsing rod, which is the only dowsing rod that accurately gauges what is being dowsed by pitting the energy of gravity against the energizing of the one-tenth ounce dowsing rod load that is attached on the elevated acetylene welding rod, with being located five-inches from the hub's shaft. This precisely gauges the dowsing of all edges, exact center, depth buried with angle of deposition, and most important is grading of the sought element that is contained in the elemental mass that is being dowsed. Anybody can become a professional dowser by practicing the book's dowsing lessons of buried pipelines and electrical cables, tunnels and voids, precious metal placer and lode deposits, dowsing for treasure, dowsing for any element, amplified long distance dowsing from a moving vehicle, and dowsing on water from a boat. I hope dowsing enriches your life and have a safe, healthy, good day.

    • @PHUCKyoutube689
      @PHUCKyoutube689 Рік тому +1

      No. The easiest way is to learn hydrodynamics and geology, then study the area you are searching. The mining history of the area and what was carrying the gold is also important. I have never seen any evidence dowsing works and there are rewards out there for anyone who can locate a deposit using dowsing, to this day no one has successfully claimed those rewards.

    • @LearntoProspectGoldenAce
      @LearntoProspectGoldenAce  Рік тому +1

      As an atheist I definitely have a hard time believing in something like dowsing. However not sure if I’d say learning hydrodynamics or geology are easy pursuits either. I’d say for those who aren’t classically educated, the best way I’ve learned how and where to expect gold falling is via gold sniping. My next video will be a gold sniping video filmed in metro Denver, and seeing how heavies actually move and accumulate in different spots can be really illuminating. Thanks to you both for taking the time to comment and hope you enjoy all that’s to come as well!
