It's so sad that Kelly has been taken from us, and has been gone for 5 years already. Time goes so fast. I loved Kellys voice, beautiful! He was a kind man and a fabulous musician with a beautiful singing voice. God bless you Kelly, and hope to see you again, one day, in heaven!
Thank you so much for uploading this to UA-cam did you know that Can't Cook, Won't Cook was the winner of the National Television Award for Most Popular Daytime Programme at the 1997 National Television Awards?
radio one the first record to be played was the theame tune.to radio one. which tony blackburn picked as he was host.which was beef eater by johny dankworth. i was at a pop quiz and somebody lost a £100 on that one. r.i.p kelly
I thought that reaction was specifically (finally) drawn out of him by the "still with ELO" comment the host made, without reference to it being Part Two.
Wood left ELO to form a band that to this day are known for a cringworthy Xmas song while Groucott with Lynne made decade defining music...Roy's just bitter that he didn't have the same success with Wizzard or in the early years of ELO
because of the fact that the guy he was replacing in ELO was named Mike de Albuquerque and there was also a Mike Edwards around when Kelly joined in 1974 and also the Violinist was named Mik, so they already had plenty of Mikes and the like. So upon joining, he was asked to adopt a stage name, he chose Kelly as being a school nickname.
when Michael William Groucutt joined ELO in 1974 there were already two Michael's in the band, Michael Edwards and Mik Kaminski. Groucutt replaced another Michael as bassist, De Albuquerque, so to stop any Michael confusion within the band, Groucutt chose "Kelly" which was his nickname from his school days. Hope that's cleared it up for you.

So nice,we need more shows with this kind of vibe nowadays!
Roy Wood and Jeff Lynn are both brummies and are big Birmingham City fans like myself.

Muy buen comentario Saludos
Imagine Jeff Lynne doing this ?
What a fun video that was to watch! Great musicians, and lovely daughters, too! As for being chefs... hmmmm... not so much :-)
Roy looked pissed when Kevin and Kelly started singing Fire Brigade at him
Such beautiful precious men❤❤❤❤
Just two dudes who don’t particularly favor Jeff Lynne cooking eclairs

I really like Kelly and Roy's daughter
I'm glad they both were in the music business and not in the cooking business.
3:11
Roy Wood should have baked "Angel Fingers" instead of eclairs...
Angel Fingers.
They both seem like awesome dads...
and both had Beautiful daughters
A Brummie symphony here! :-)
Hi Kelly. :-*
Roy's face at 3.11....bloody priceless.
Poor lassie now... mum and dad are no longer here. Hope she's coping so well, kisses to her if ever she bumped into this post.
pero que hombre tan dulce Kelly... Es posible entender la pena de su mujer cuando se fue.
I was shocked to learn Kelly was left-handed and to hear Roy call it 'amphibious' .
Considering those two guys' reletionsships with ELO I wonder if the eclairs tasted slightly bitter ? ;)
I can look at this with nostalgic sympathy. Thank You tedblight .
Roy reminds me very much of Alan Parsons :)
Roy Wood's e clairs when he drizzles the cream on it lol
A wonderful video
classic
great video

Funny that you don't see much of this geezer/cook on the tv anymore
3:11 "Yeah, you're a hired sideman / backing vocalist, and I created the damn thing with Jeff. Almost the same ( rolls eyes)"
I thought that reaction was specifically (finally) drawn out of him by the "still with ELO" comment the host made, without reference to it being Part Two.
Oh, actually I was thinking about the smart-asses laugh around 7:13, not the look at 3:11.
Smart-assed*.
So true.

Look at him at 2:37, checking the names on his card for god's sake!
yeh after saying he was a fan ffs 🤦♂️ if john deacon was on my show i would'nt a fckn card
This looks 1990's.
Beans on toast, toad in the hole?
Groucutt's first name was actually Michael. Why the change to Kelly, I wonder...
because of the fact that the guy he was replacing in ELO was named Mike de Albuquerque and there was also a Mike Edwards around when Kelly joined in 1974 and also the Violinist was named Mik, so they already had plenty of Mikes and the like. So upon joining, he was asked to adopt a stage name, he chose Kelly as being a school nickname.
to avoid confusion with the previous bassist Michael d'aiberqer whatever
when Michael William Groucutt joined ELO in 1974 there were already two Michael's in the band, Michael Edwards and Mik Kaminski. Groucutt replaced another Michael as bassist, De Albuquerque, so to stop any Michael confusion within the band, Groucutt chose "Kelly" which was his nickname from his school days. Is Jeff Lynne really a pretending to be Roy wood.?
What?
