You checking it with the door open? And it has to be open for just a little bit or it looses power if opened to long. If not, it’s got to be the fuse. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸
@@COLTSWAY I was attempting to use these 1/2” plastic connectors that have a round metal insert inside. It only worked when I directly connected both wires and used electrical tape. No one will see that anyway. THE LIGHTS ARE AWESOME!! Thanks again for a great video.
Got mine yesterday. I added quarter inch rubber grommets and had to use two on each hole. Trimmed one side of each grommet so they would meet in the middle. Thanks for your video. I had not seen this mod before.

Was looking up something for the install and this video popped up and glad I watched! I'm not even installing the little lights that came with the kit. Thank you so much for the tutorial on the running board lights. I ran out to take a look under my ‘15 SD and sure enough there were the plug ins! Took me all of a 1/2 hr to hook them up and they work great. Thanks for the tips and links. You ROCK!!
Good information. Important note ........ The plug you buy from Amazon says, on the package, that the white wire is positive. In this application, the white wire is negative. Spent an hour trying to figure why my lights did not work. Also, In order to fit into the factory plug, you'll need to slightly shave each side of the Amazon plug. Good find. For guys that don’t have the led bed lights from the factory that would be a great place to tap in for the power. I do have the bed lights but wish they turned on with the door open/unlock lighting since I have a tonneau cover and can’t see shit at night lol.👍🏼

Hey brother, yes they are the stock lariat sport wheels. I’m running 37x13.50x20. They rub the radius arms at about 90 percent turn. But it’s never made it where I can get into a spot or anything. If I gotta turn sharp, I just let it eat. I was running 2.5 readylift with track bar relocation bracket for the last year and a half. Then after I put my winch and bumper on I added another 1 inch spacer on the bottom of my springs cause the bumper and winch sagged it a little. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Hey Colt, big fan of the channel ! Question for you, I'm doing the step lighting this weekend and I purchased the plugs that you linked to that plug into the factory auto steps that is on my f250. The reviews on the plugs I got on Amazon alot of people are saying the white and black wires are reversed, did you find that to be the case? Or did you have any problems plugging it in to the factory plug with reverse polarity? Looking at your video you show the black wire from the Amazon plug as the hot when normally the hot would be white, am I wrong on this? Thanks, good lookin out
I haven’t had any problems at all brother. I am a ex lineman and I still do electrical work for a power company, just not line work. And white is alway neutral with us. But honestly if you reversed the polarity it might blow a fuse or it might not do a damn thing and still work just fine. When I Hook up streetlights for the city black is hot and white is neutral/ground and if I reverse them on the light it still works just the same. I wouldn’t worry to much with it, but in the electrical world white is neutral. But you could always just touch them together like i did before you spliced them to just make sure. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

Another great mod once again. But have a question on the tuner and the change from NGuage to EZLink. I kinda was leaning towards the NGuage why the change was it due to the different tunes? Chaos vs Proven what’s the difference?
Well if I ever needed anything or any help with nguage I’m a sitting duck. It’s great for what it is but if I need a revision Someone has to email it to me then I have to download it to a sad card and the put it on the nguage. With ezlynk everything is instant and right over the cloud. There’s so many more options and tunes to pick. And you can monitor so much more with it then with the nguage. Plus I hear they stopped making nguage so like it’s just obsolete. Plus my tunes sucked. I had chaos and I can tell you even 59 miles in the new tunes proven is hands down miles ahead. Cleaner just everything feels so much better. The transmission tuning is on point as well. 🇺🇸

Darn it, I like the more light output from your strips versus my mirror puddle lights. I was hoping I could do both.

Good find. For guys that don’t have the led bed lights from the factory that would be a great place to tap in for the power. I do have the bed lights but wish they turned on with the door open/unlock lighting since I have a tonneau cover and can’t see shit at night lol.👍🏼

Are those the stock rims? Looks like the stock rims i have on my 2019. Just wondering what size tires your running? Any lift? And any rubbing?
Hey brother, yes they are the stock lariat sport wheels. I’m running 37x13.50x20. They rub the radius arms at about 90 percent turn. But it’s never made it where I can get into a spot or anything. If I gotta turn sharp, I just let it eat. I was running 2.5 readylift with track bar relocation bracket for the last year and a half. Then after I put my winch and bumper on I added another 1 inch spacer on the bottom of my springs cause the bumper and winch sagged it a little. Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Hey Colt, big fan of the channel ! Question for you, I'm doing the step lighting this weekend and I purchased the plugs that you linked to that plug into the factory auto steps that is on my f250. The reviews on the plugs I got on Amazon alot of people are saying the white and black wires are reversed, did you find that to be the case? Or did you have any problems plugging it in to the factory plug with reverse polarity?
Looking at your video you show the black wire from the Amazon plug as the hot when normally the hot would be white, am I wrong on this?

I haven’t had any problems at all brother. I am a ex lineman and I still do electrical work for a power company, just not line work. And white is alway neutral with us. But honestly if you reversed the polarity it might blow a fuse or it might not do a damn thing and still work just fine. When I Hook up streetlights for the city black is hot and white is neutral/ground and if I reverse them on the light it still works just the same. I wouldn’t worry to much with it, but in the electrical world white is neutral. But you could always just touch them together like i did before you spliced them to just make sure. 🇺🇸🦅🇺🇸

Another great mod once again. But have a question on the tuner and the change from NGuage to EZLink. I kinda was leaning towards the NGuage why the change was it due to the different tunes? Chaos vs Proven what’s the difference?
Well if I ever needed anything or any help with nguage I’m a sitting duck. It’s great for what it is but if I need a revision Someone has to email it to me then I have to download it to a sad card and the put it on the nguage. With ezlynk everything is instant and right over the cloud. There’s so many more options and tunes to pick. And you can monitor so much more with it then with the nguage. Plus I hear they stopped making nguage so like it’s just obsolete. Plus my tunes sucked. I had chaos and I can tell you even 59 miles in the new tunes proven is hands down miles ahead. Cleaner just everything feels so much better. The transmission tuning is on point as well. 🇺🇸

@@COLTSWAY Okay, I checked the area on my F450 where you put your strip lights, unfortunately there is a rubber strip there on my King Ranch 450. I guess for further sound insulation. Darn it, I like the more light output from your strips versus my mirror puddle lights. I was hoping I could do both.
