I just recently not long ago, finish upgrading both the front brake pads and rotor to a slotted rotor for better stopping power. Super easy job on these newer 2nd gen traverse. The difference in performance is huge. Shorter stopping distance. These stock rotor just feels very inadequate in emergency braking. Feels like im driving a 30 ton vehicle that needs a great distance to bring my vehicle to a complete stop. In hot weather it gets worse with the stock rotor.
Good video, although front disk brake replacement is fairly standard & simple, where are all the videos for doing the back brakes - not a lot of good thorough videos for back break replacement specifically on 2018 Traverse models.
The best video I have seen on replacing front disc brake pads.
Those old pads still looked good

Gotta make money 🤷🏼♂️
They look very good
One of the best brake replacement videos I've seen, thank you

Dadscandoittv has a good video. Just recommend putting vehicle in service mode. Can be done manually.

@@Jon-flowers it’s a forward 6000lb scissor hydraulic jack lift
Great Instructor. Excellent footage. Nice seeing kids and hearing kids voices in video.
You can leave your GoPro in it’s holder we can see everything when it’s mounted.
Clear and helpful.
30 ft lbs seems low??
When u push in brake piston is the cap on or off inside the engine
Off the brake reservoir
Cap off. This is when you may have a little fluid overflow and why he put rags around.
I had my brakes changed and now my truck won’t go in reverse? What could be wrong?
Maybe the transmission is in backwards lol 😂
@@miguelarreguin64 what does the transmission have to do with changing brake pads? Ps- I get the joke
Thank you
Great video. Thank you! Are the back brakes same/similar to change?
Appreciate you 🙏
when you change the brake pads you need resurface the rotor too, is the right way job.
That's WAY to much grease!! Dirt will make things worse! Cars don't come with grease when you buy them.
