Superb video sir, awesome laps, keep smilin . Hope you have a great bank holiday weekend. 😍
Cheers buddy and likewise, I’ll be spending the weekend camping ⛺️ away from the joys of technology… well, almost… 😉
Great video again mate 👌
Cheers buddy always appreciate the comments… looks like you’re setting some blinding lap times as always at Monza in the McLaren 👍🏼
@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 Yeah closing up to the 1.45s slowly. I did 1.46.1 but imo it takes a perfect lap to get to the 45s. Atleast a perfect lap with my driving skills 😅😅
I wouldn't knock a man with your driving skills...it takes a perfect lap for most people to hit a 1.49 or a 1.47
It takes an exceptional lap to hit a 1.46 and a total Alien lap to be in the 1.45s
If I've learnt anything on my journey to setting the fastest lap times. a tenth here and a tenth there... at the end of the day most people you race against aren't consistently setting crazy lap times.
I wouldn't stress to much about hitting a 1.45... it will be just as rewarding as hitting a 1.46.9 in most peoples eye's.
Hope you're well pal and hopefully catch you on the circuit if I ever get chance lol.
@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3
Thanks mate for your kind words 🙏👌
The main reason for me to want to get in to the 1.45s is that it would be the first one on console
Imo
New to XCL and loving it. Rookie in xcl so thanks for the video 😊
Glad to hear it 👍🏼👍🏼
@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 the small fan and gloves awesome tip. Sometimes so sweaty 😓 🙃 racing alien's like you.
@@BewareSA The gloves make a big difference when you’re running hours at a time. The fan I usually use to try and keep the base running nice and cool. I always leave the fan running for at least an hour after use.
6 years on and everything still works perfectly so I must be doing something right.
@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 Thank you for pointing that out will surely get me gloves and a small fan.
Nice video as always!
I don't drive the 296 but was wondering if for a Q lap or 10-15 mins race would be better to have ore negative toe in the front. Genuine question. It works a lot with Lambo Evo II. Like Q full negative toe. 15 20 min race -0.25 and for a 45 min race -0.1.
By the way 1:41:050 is a great great lap. I am stuck low 1:42.
Genuine answer... I'm really not sure... The max toe setting glitch is suppose to have been put to rest and having spoke briefly to another driver after the 1.9 launch he said there were big differences in car handling with smaller changes from the toe settings.
Personally, I've not noticed a massive difference in toe settings since 1.9 but I've also had little chance to delve into running max toe settings to see if the glitch is still there or if there's benefits to running strange toe settings.
Maybe a video I'll cover at some point as toe can often help hugely with corner entry and mid corner grip.
Unfortunately I see a 3 week trip working away looming very closely before getting time back in the rig to do some testing.
Until then I'll leave you to do a little testing and possibly feed back your findings.
All the best pal.
@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 thanks for the detail answer mate. Yeah I'll dig a bit into this in the following weeks. Maybe it worked at Nurburgring and kyalami but it won't work elsewhere.
I will leave you with the 3 weeks trip working away :) I'll be waiting for the new video in a month or so.
Keep it up the great work
Can i have some advice on steering lock? Mines on 1080 wnd the wheel at the side of this setting moves exactly like my wheel in my hands, but ive been tood each car had a different lock.... how coke when i turn my steering lock down, to say 720 do my car turn less than on 1080...... it's really blaggin my head lol please help!!!
My first question would be are you on a series console or ps5 or are you Xbox 1 x or PS4.
This will make a huge difference in my answer?
@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 series X mate
@@lukeduffy130 Ok… we’re on the same console so this should be simple. On your wheel, set it to 900 not 1080
In game set the steering lock to 900
Steer scale to 100
In the HUD settings or preferred driving position you need to remove the wheel and hands & use the view you see me use in the video.
I’m sure there’s still a delay on the wheel if using the different in-car view with the wheel and hands.
Since version 1.8 you do not need to adjust the steering ratio from car to car.
If you want a tighter steering rack/less input or a twitcher car. Change the in-game steering ratio within the car setup mechanical grip menu just below brake balance.
The lower the figure the less steering input will be needed to turn the wheel.
Hope this helps bro.
@@jaysysumakaRatMaster3 thank you for the reply, my only problem with this is, I use a thrust master TSXW every time I chance the actual wheel in the settings on my laptop it doesn't seem to save, when I unplug it and plug it back in it's still on 1080 even after I changed it to 900
