    Appreciate the wisdom Hamza!
    1. Sleep-- Sleep more. You think you're sleeping enough? Sleep MORE
    2. Batch-- Batch your tasks. Do multiple of one thing's at a time
    3. Deep Work-- Focus entirely on the job at hand. Switch off your phone while working.
    4. Work on things that are essential-- Find the one or two things that are going to make all the difference for you, and double down, triple down on them.

I think usually over 9-10 hours of actual sleep has no extra benefits. Of course being in the bed for longer can be beneficial if you need to in order to get enough of actual sleep.

14:50 (no hate intended, just shedding some light on my perspective) Actively recalling what I've studied and making concise important points by colour coding the answers I write aids my learning process... Especially when there's a shit tonna concepts to study and your textbooks are like 1000 pages thick... Trying to write down what you've learnt in your own words really helps... Conceptual understanding... Familiarising yourself with the topics
In fact if your followers actively recalled and noted down what you said in brief rather passively listen to whatever you have to say it'd be much more beneficial to them... Not everything you say is important to everyone... Advice is usually relative based on circumstance... Some points might stick out more to certain people than others... And not every advice holds the same level of importance.. why watch a 20 min vid over and over when you can summarise and recall it within 4-5 points... Yes implimentation is important but you can't implement if you don't remember
There's this concept of learning where they say don't really remember what you've studied but you remember the fact that you've studied... I feel like it's the same thing with some of your fanbase... This idea that they've watched a self help video fascinates them more than the idea of implementing what is said in the video...

I've started outsourcing a lot of my work because of you, and i'm solely focusing on producing the best music i can possibly make and putting that out every month or so.. if i ever see any type of difference or if something blows up because of this, i'm gonna find a way to give something back to you man. -thanks bro.

Pomodoro certainly helped me ease into a more focused lifestyle, but as it got easier to focus I no longer find myself needing it. There're good reasons to use it if you still live a pretty distracted life, because you can progressively overload and improve your breaks over time. For me, initially, I played a game on my phone that had matches that last less than 5 minutes, and that really helped get more work done as a student that suffered with bad habits. Eventually, as my bad habits were reduced significantly, I got into meditating during the breaks instead which was a lot better for me in the long run.

    • @Godofit1
      @Godofit1 2 роки тому +1

Completely agree w/ this one. Pomodoro is helpful for getting a baseline timing of productive work. However, the goal should be to stretch it into longer periods of time w/o breaks, similar to learning how to run 1 mile before trying a marathon

This very much resonates with me. Reflecting on my own tasks over the past few weeks, I have been readings papers, making notes, making plans etc. Not because I need to do more reading, I already have all the information I need, but because it is more comfortable and easy for me to read, than to put my head down and write my own dissertation.

It's one year and a half since I've been preparing for a competitive exam that take place in two weeks now, and one of the things that really made me academically better along the way is confronting myself to the real tests as if I was actually passing my exam so I could see how am I doing in real conditions, whereas reading this and that or writing notes about irrelevant things didn't increase my performance at all. This is such a basic concept but a very few students actually work this way, and for having experimented the unproductive way of learning I think we do it mostly because we all want to stay in our comfort zone where we can't really have a clear sight on our performance so we don't feel too bad about not being as good as we would want to be. Being able to confront itself to its ignorance is the first step of learning. Great vid btw :)

I've got my GCSEs starting in the 25th of this month. The main things I've been focusing on for the past week have been -
    1) Studying
    2) Reading and applying Deep work principles in order to improve my studying
    3) Training
However, the action faking thing rung true for me. There have been many instances in the past 2-3 ish weeks that I've been more focused on creating the ideal study ROUTINE on Google calendar nstead of actually studying. I've come across this one video by Justin Sung regarding attention management, and have been applying the "What am I thinking about currently? Is it something I want to be thinking about? What should/could I be thinking about right now instead?" Questions he brought up in that video.

Essentialism sounds so incredibly easy yet it's so hard to do. Now that I think of my week and the videos I tried to record, how I learned etc I realised how much time I actually might have wasted doing the unimportant things. Thanks for calling that out. That's why I'm looking to outsource editing and stuff like this so I can only focus on essentials and learn more stuff that I can move on in the videos and grow way faster. The difference between good entrepreneurs and those who never make it is actually where is their focus and if it's on essentials or they are doing just unimportant shit now that I'm thinking about it. 10:20 actually there are studies, especially regarding studying, that having small mental breaks (not some facebook, instagram, tiktok nonsense) between studying sessions improved studying efficiency greatly

Hamza, can you help us with a game plan on how to move out? I've finally set that goal for myself and all the cards are starting to line up but I'm still ignorant as to the prep for the independant bachelor lifestyle. Appreciate you bro.

Kinda off topic but I think there is a big misunderstaning when people say that you promote the hustle culture, and then you reply by saying that you work 2-3 hours a week. For people who are addicted to instant gradification, everything other than that (learning, reading, exercising, journaling etc.) is work for them. It is something that requires them to put in the work and get tired, so that they can have benefits from it later. On the other side, most of these activities are parts of your life, things that you uvinde to, that you use to relax and enjoy yourself. The only activity that you consider work in you life is something that you do to make money. This topic is related to a video about addiction that I watched today, but you posted it almost 2 weeks ago and I think you wouldn't see my comment there. I really hope many people see this, as well as Hamza.

I have a lot of room to improve when it comes to ignoring my phone while I'm trying to be productive. I usually have it screen up so whenever I get a notification, I instantly check it. I should keep my phone screen down when I'm trying to be productive so I don't see when I get a notification.

For sleep i bought the Oura ring, which tracks both sleep and activity throughout the day. It's non-intrusive, doesn't bombard you with messages on your phone and works really well. Can recommend!
