4:33 I think they were planning Top Thrill 2 for later this decade but the 2021 incident with the original Dragster gave them a reason to do it sooner.
I agree. The boardwalk project got pushed up because of the incident and closing of TTD. I wouldn’t doubt they had to put some things on hold because of it as well.
Just sucks they already redid it and it's still not popular. Same with Corckscrew. I hardly ever see anyone in line. Blue Streak also is hardly ever even a 15 minute wait and it's honestly a decent ride for being so old. They've maintained it quite well.
Those are all great ideas. I believe that if they move the kiddie rides onto millennium Island that we could see a family boomerang installed with this move.
It would surprise me, cedar fair and vekoma would be wild theyve never added a traditional vekoma layout yet. I kind of hope they never do, capacity wise and just being different than other parks. Love the idea, just kind of hope it stays at the regional scale, though six flags great adventure said super boomerang so who knows maybe it wouldnt surprise me so much now with six flags on board....
What if CP moved Blue Streak to the Boardwalk??!! It would fit in perfect. Then use the empty Blue Streak plot , plus the old picnic pavilion area, for a massive new coaster!!! I know there is 0% of this happening, but a guy can dream.
Wish you guys the best in 2024! I don't know about the near term, as I think a lot of capital will be going into existing Six Flags parks infrastructure, but my hope is that the work Cedar Fair has done with Gravity Group's Engineered Precut Track may lead to something bigger. Falcons Flight will pretty much end the major steel coaster records, but doesn't the worlds tallest, steepest, and fastest wood coaster just sound like Cedar Point? Maybe May 2031, 40 years after they last had a record breaking wood coaster???
This all sounds great, but you need to keep in mind that looking over the history of the park, whenever they put something in they always take something out. It’s not necessarily in the area where the new ride is examples being the witches wheel and the antique cars, but I think Cedar point has decided that they only can have a certain number of rides at one time. It seems to be between 68 and 72. Right now I believe there are at 68 currently.
I'm a single mom with a 5 year old, still not a fan of family coasters. But I get that family coasters are the gateway to the real thing, so needs must lol
A Gerstlauer infinity like Hang Time at Knott’s will be good over in celebration stage area or kiddie kingdom area. Could even call it Wildcat (the 3rd lol 😆). I would love a twister layout gci on millennium island. And agree with Blue Streak getting some gravity group tlc like the Racer and Beast at KI. They both ride amazingly!
So agree - since they took out Wild Cat that whole section of the park has been in an identity crisis. There are indeed so many areas with both space and potential but the Celebrations stage is in the middle of so much and would be so cool to see get some new life. They removed the Snake River boat tour, too, right? Snake River Falls is a little tired as well, it is so true. That area would be my second fave to see transformed. Thanks for another fab video!! Love hearing your thoughts :)))
I was thinking that cedar point could remove the forbidden frontier buidlings within millennium island and keep the ones alongside the river for snake river expedition scenery. Then add a new roller coaster in that cite. Or, and it’s unlikely it will ever happen, but I had an idea of a railroad expansion circling around the island. Where the track simply retraces the walkways people would use to walk around the island and goes underneath some parts of millennium force
Unfortunately, I see a future where Six Flags is weighed down by the sheer number of parks they have and the upkeep and improvements needed throughout those parks. I feel they will cheap out wherever possible. The next coaster I see is RMC Gemini and I absolutely hate it. On the plus, they will have the chance to do a true dueling RMC and learn from the mistakes of Twisted Colossus, but still a classic ride will bite the dust.
I don’t get the sentiment six flags weighs down cedar fair because neither bought the other, they combined so should run as is no? Six flags assets combine with cedar fairs, money is still going to the same places nobody went into debt acquiring parks here they were just simply merged with the already existing budget. And overhead gets cut a bit with combining chains less ceos etc. idk i see it going well, powerhouse esque tbh. I hope gemini doesnt happen its fun to imagine and joke about but i’d hate that 😂😂 but hard to disagree its right there and its ready to be built up. Sigh lets hope not my friend 😂
@@GhosterCoasters I sure hope your right about them not being weighed down by all the parks. I just wonder, because the debt from the companies was combined as well, and even with the money they are saving, I could see them easily being overburdened by all the individual needs of all of these parks. I really wish that a couple of good ones would get sold off to Herschend or Palace. Shit, I wish Hershey Park would make an acquisition. I also could easily see a situation where we have lots of "Have Not" parks, where over time lots of places end up like Michigans Adventure.
I don’t think we have any worries about the merger. Yes, the debt will be combined as well as profits. The possibility of them selling off smaller parks that don’t have an impact on profits will be how they offset that debt. And it won’t be this year. Maybe 2 years from now so they can assess and compare all the smaller parks in both chains. Thats just my thoughts though. As far as Gemini…I joke about giving it the RMC touch but…leave it be. Maybe some retracking.

1:26 I do think less popular coasters like Rougarou will be re-themed, just not until later in the decade.
go back to a standup with the new pipeline trains!! lol

That would be ridiculously cool 😂😂

The idea of rhe wooden coaster records is intriguing, i’d love to see the next renditions of records broke and hopefully cp like you said!!
This is such fun food for thought
Do Six flags Fiesta texas? Please
I can try - have never been its a bucket list park. Seems so well ran!
This video is very very very funny night😂
Silly right 😂 couldnt be more wrong about all of the things we said 🤣 all in good fun glad ya got some laughs at our expense

I rewatched the video and already disagree with like 65% of it 😂 i’d redo this big time
My prediction will be another family coaster. It's a trend that CP is going to get on board with.
Already on board with wildmouse addition, wouldnt surprise me in the slightest tbh. not a fan of it but understand it lol

Love seeing your comments! We’re hoping they do something by that stage area there it’d be a nice addition to the park

I would love that, take it away from the middle of the park maybe idk. Be interesting and fun, train ride in the dark with millie flying overhead!

I made my own Cedar Point prediction plan on my "Turnpike Coasters" Bluesky and Cohost accounts.
Got a link to it? I’m gonna look but sometimes cant find things in search lol
Lol
