If Kristina were to make any changes in her philosophy on food, it would definitely be very quietly and on the sly. She doesn't strike me as the kind of person/youtube "guru" who can admit "I was wrong."
I think stick is the key word. Any food that can not be eaten in its natural form is not optimal food for humans. I use to eat oats too. Then I realized it was not a good choice.
I drink oat smoothies everyday and they give me no problems, they actually make going to the bathroom SO much easier everyday and it shows when I skip a day without drinking one of those smoothies.
How do you know that unless you try it. As a vegan I have been doing mostly fruit for about 2 years and it has been an eye opener. Unless you try it, you will never know how it feels to take your health to the next level. One does not know how bad they feel until they have felt better.
"...because you're an idiot." I died of laughter on my way to the gym this morning. Btw... I totally just listen to your videos like 1/2 the time. Have you considered doing a podcast?
Admittedly I've never tried it - haven't had the reason to, but as a vegan I look at the raw vegan diets and my general feeling is they wouldn't suit me either. Cooking widens the range of foods I can eat - and the range of things I can make from foods. Raw food is an option, but I wouldn't say it's a must do thing or a natural progression of veganism. The odd raw vegan recipe has ended up in my recipe book though, just because I like that particular one.
yeah, there's just no reason for it, either. like you don't need to detox anything because your liver's already doing that, that's what it's for, so all those green juices she eats are pretty useless. just eat vegan.
First, let me tell you; I love your no nonsense approach to your videos! No 30 second title intro with annoying club music or that obnoxious jumpy editing that seems to be all the rage these days. On to my point...I'm on the fence about FRK. I truly believe she is trying to spread a good message...and I believe she does hit the mark with that. However, I just don't think she realizes that 60% of her fan base can't afford her diet and that 100% of them should avoid doing it full on. I prefer to include some of her raw recipes into my otherwise cooked Vegan diet. I know she lives in Texas, but I live in Upstate NY where there is currently 3 feet of snow on the ground and sucking down frosty foods three times a day just isn't going to cut it.
UV is allowed to follow another vegan UA-camr through different phases of their diet and channel. In fact, I think this is beneficial. Instead of only UA-cam commentary, we now have a video feed of commentary about this UA-camrs choices so we can evaluate for ourselves whether or not we should follow in her footsteps and promote her message. Kristina absolutely means well. But pseudoscience has a large role in vegan diet variations these days. You can usually tell when they explain human anatomy or digestive system processes (“if you don’t pack in as many carbs as possible in one day, your brain function will be slower because your brain runs solely off of carbohydrates!”) these people aren’t evil and UV knows that. She corrects logical errors and helps sway people away from life changing mistakes. Would you want to be pulled into a fully raw diet only to end up broke, chunky, and bloated? I wouldn’t. Thank you, UV. I love seeing your perspective on Kristina’s journey.
Magnimazing if you were an entertainer you would try to appease your audience, though. I don’t know if many entertainers who are successful by ignoring their fans.
The Kardashians are popular because they bring A LOT of petty drama and people are typically VERY entertained by drama. But Unnatural Vegan is popular because she's very informative and educational, so I agree with Zoe that she'd probably want to talk about topics that her fans are interested in.
So you don't think she is undereating? She runs 6 to 8 miles a day she has said. And if i remember correctly she is not short so either she is on a diet or i fucking need to go on one
You can see she only burned about a 100 callories more that day than what she ate. I don't expect her to eat exactly the same everyday so she is probably fine.
Does she still run that much? I know she used to, but I haven’t seen her mention it recently. I don’t watch all of her videos though so I may have missed it.
She can say whatever she likes, but she is not running daily. It just part of the social media marketing thing to claim doing things that are expected of you, like running & yoga. But when you actually run and look like you have never ran before and have a physique that clearly shows that you are not running daily... well, only people who want to believe it will believe it.
Unnatural Vegan! I watched your videos a year ago and have come back and noticed an incredible difference! You're content is so positive, so calm. I truly enjoy watching you now. Thank you for uploading :)
She’s actually been eating a lot more fat and protein powder (and also salt) for a while now. Just take a look at her recipe videos and what I eat videos over the last couple years.
Just in case anyone is wondering, it's not terribly hard to find unhulled sesame seeds in big bulk stores if you look. I haven't seen the white ones near me but I have found unhulled black sesame seeds just in my local winco.
Great video UV! Kristina looks healthy here :) From knowing her content from several years ago and seeing this now, I'm really impressed by the choices she made in this video. I really hope she is still making them.
Good job, un-natural vegan! I think the change might be in YOU, too ... That is, that you are being a bit more charitable to the young woman, than in the past. I have my definite gripes about Kristina but it does seem as though she is at least trying to be a bit more responsible in her dietary choices.
Please do a video breakdown of the snake oil the beauty youtuber Tati (glamlifeguru) came out with. She came out with a “brand” that is just a $40/month supplement for “better” hair skin and nails... oh and it’s vegan (it launches on Friday and tons of her subscribers, including me are very upset and I think it is a video that could get a ton of traffic and save people for falling for the bullshit! Save us!)
Kaitlyn H. I've watched her for 8 years, but this really disappointed me. I can't take biotin and those that do can do so for about $5. There is no reason for this and no scientific evidence that biotin works. Apparently, other ingredients can react with other medications. No, thanks. I won't be unsubscribing, but I don't support this move at all. Many of people will mindlessly buy just because it's Tati, but it's a total waste of money in my opinion.
LegallyBrunette and Beautiful I had to unsubscribe from her. I’ve also been watching her for a long time, like 5 years, I just don’t feel like I can trust her at all after this. Pushing this unregulated crap is such a disgusting thing for her to do
Do raw people avoid beans in general, and that's why the tofu is off limits, or is it because it's processed? Is there some way they can make beans digestible while still raw? Seems like a shame to avoid all the nutrients in beans.
hmmm I don't think you can digest beans raw. Not only texture wise but I believe they contain some toxic compounds which are no longer present in their cooked state. Also, raw diets require not cooking anything above 108-121 degrees F (depends on who you ask), so I believe that's also why tofu (which is made from boiled, curdled and pressed soy milk) and cooked beans/legumes are off limits.
Louisa Hula Tofu is cooked, so it's a no-go. Some beans can be sprouted and eaten raw, if your tummy can handle it (mine couldn't). But many raw foodists-- mostly those in the low fat camp--are anti all beans (and grains) because they're not a "natural" food for humans. Seeing how Kristina now eats protein powder made from peas and rice, I don't think she feels that way anymore.
Louisa Hula sprouting makes them more digestible though I'm not sure if they're still as digestible as cooked. Tofu is cooked not raw and I think raw soybeans are not edible and eating to would make you seem judging from the fact that raw soy milk I've heard makes you sick and should absolutely never be consumed. Though not sure if tempeh is raw but it's edible. Brave might be nutritious but there's nothing in them you cannot get it fruits and vegetables. By the way Bobby's Raw Vegan Adventure eats a lot of raw sprouted beans.
Swayze, you are actually wrong about how Kristina is eating more greens now, she has always ate a ton of greens. I do not want to be a raw vegan, but she was always going around talking about how she ate a pound of greens per day. Making salads is one of her favorite things. I think we just have to be fair, but I am glad you are being more gentle in critiquing her this time. I just say most people need to do their own research and not eat a certain way because someone does that on UA-cam.
California Mountain Art And Life yes she did eat a lot of greens but her diet was mainly fruit. Instead of fruit smoothie, she actually had a green smoothie. In her earlier days, she had monomeals of just fruit as a meal also. So it's nice seeing less fruit and more vegetables
Kelseys_storys she has been doing variations of green smoothies for years. But she also did a Lebanese inspired tabouli salad, and a raw lasagna, and those were two of her early videos. I started watching her back in 2013.
A good healthy drink to have is green tea. Japanese green tea is the best especially Matcha. But you should drink it only because you like the taste, first and foremost. Health benefits should be just a bonus.
Almonds are a really good source of vitamin E - and good amount of protein too. Nuts in general help me a lot with calories, protein and some vitamins. They're also fine to eat raw if that's what someone is trying to do. I don't normally cook them. But I'm fine with eating cooked food, it's just nuts are good to eat as they are.
I tried to eat the way she does a few years ago, but I stopped because it was 1) too expensive 2) boring long term 3) I was rarely satisfied 4) it’s wasteful 5) I only have one fridge so I had to go to the supermarket nearly every day I feel great now that I eat a ”normal” diet. Still vegan of course, but regular cooked meals. Plus a multivitamin, B12 and DHA from algae each day. It’s so liberating not having to always make sure I have ripe fruit and only grocery shopping once a month because I can store things, haha. It’s nice not having to focus on food all the time, what’s low fat etc. I
I didn't see anything with fat soluble vitamins(A, D, E, & K) going into the juice. The salad in the evening had a good amount of fat with the avocado & tahini dressing.
Do humans have to eat over 10% fat to absorb vitamins? I haven’t heard that before. As long as her body is absorbing them, she should be getting a decent percentage of her vitamins. Spinach is loaded in vitamins.
Carolyn Hance Lol are you telling me that there’s no A,D, E, K vitamins in a shit ton of GREENS?! Sure no D vitamins, but there’s a crazy amount of vitamin A and vitamin K in kale. There is vitamin A, E and K in celery and cilantro. There’s also a little amount of A and K in cucumber. I can tell just by looking at A SHIT TON OF GREENS that there must be some fat-soluble vitamins so you can benefit from them by drizzling a little olive-oil or have some kind of fat in there.
Zoë Rae Did you go to high school? Because if you haven’t heard that there are fat-soluble vitamins and water-soluble vitamins, that’s basic biology. For her body to be able to absorb them, they should be broken down, if they are not dissolved in fat, they are unavailable. Even if something is loaded with fat-soluble vitamins, if there’s no fat, there is no use.
Lizzy Grant oh hey, thanks for the condescending response to my completely simple question. But I did specifically ask about if they need to get over 10% fat, since many fruits and veggies do have fat and Kristina definitely ate avocado and tahini which are both fats on the day being discussed in this video, and the Cronometer screenshot at 4:51 shows that she actually probably got closer to 20% on the day in question. In general, Kristina should be getting around 10% fat from her diet - so again I ask - does a human have to consume OVER 10% fat to absorb the vitamins from their food? I apologize if I hit the wrong nerve by asking my question. It was not my intention.
I really like your "positive" videos! They aren't less instructive than when you debunk stuff, because you explain the science just as much! We go through enough negativity in our everyday life for UA-cam to drag us through more... I hope you'll continue to make more positive videos!
"Fact: Bears eat beets. Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica!" 😂 Not totally sure what made me think of this. But I do want to give you a big 👍for growing as a person and trying something different. Although, I do still love your old content. Keep evolving. Stay awesome!
So, peanuts have choline? I added peanuts to the chronometer today, and it says 0% on the chronometer. Does it have to be a specific kind of peanut? Because choline is usually the only thing I'm deficient in. Peanuts just don't seem to be helping me out with this.
@unnatural vegan i am hoping you can help me. I am a mom of 3 kids and I have been incorporating vegan meals, but I have still been giving them occasional butter and eggs. I had the goal of completely eliminating these things over time. However, I just watched a video about Vitamin A and then started reading online and everything I am reading says that it's very difficult to get enough beta carotene from plants to convert to A. That some people can't convert at all and that children are especially susceptible to this deficiency. Can you please help verify this? I see you are good with these types of things but I am not and the last thing I want to do is stunt my kids
Tzara86 most kids should be taking a multivitamin supplement anyway :) also becel makes vegan butter thats the same price as their regular one and tastes literally the exact same i recommend that or earth balance
Tzara86 any decent amount of kale or carrots every day is more than adequate amounts of beta-carotene for your body to convert to vitamin A. Also, don't forget that vitamin A is only replaced in the body as it's needed so if you're not losing a lot of vitamin A in your body, your body isn't going to necessarily absorb all that much from your food and forcing it to is what causes overdoses in people. Really don't worry about it. Eat a variety of whole plant foods, hopefully cooked into some kind of proper meal because all raw diets are just extremely unpalatable to most people.
It really depends on the types of plants you are eating. While conversion of beta-carotene and other carotenes to Vitamin A can be a little inefficent, some plants (like carrots, sweet potato, pumpkin, kale and certain fruits like Cantaloupe) have an abundance of these carotenes. Also dietary fat has been shown to both increase absorption and synthesis of Vitamin A. This comes from veganhealth.org, which is a credible website, but be sure to talk to an RD and/or your childrens' pediatrician, too :)
Danny Kruse beta-carotene is converted in the body into Vitamin A at a 4 to 1 ratio. Which is why I said getting any reasonable amount of vegetables that contain beta carotene will give you a more than adequate amount. In the absorption is even easier whenever these vegetables are cooked. It's really not as big of an issue as some people try to make it out to be.
Tbh I’ve been watching a lot of your content and tbh you make me want to try veganism or at least a vegetarian life style. And maybe even get my parents involved.
How do I eat healthy without getting gassy? When ever I try to eat healthy I end up getting extremely gassy and I just don’t know what to eat or if I have a digestive problem so can anyone recommend me a UA-camr or website that could help me with my vegan diet?
she always mentions eating a huge kale salad for dinner with purple cabbage and cherry tomatos. She has done that for years. I followed her initially because she ate a lot of greens.
Have you ever reviewed Kate Fruit Flowers? Out of all the raw vegans her diet does seem more substantial... I'd love to hear your thoughts on her new cookbook Freedom Foods.
This is a lot healthier than the way I eat but I just can't imagine eating only raw. I live in a very cold climate and a nice warm meal is what gets me through winter.
sowhat It was my understanding that you were implying that Seitan is a junk food because it's processed. If that is not correct, I'm sorry for misconstruing you.
Some Dude with Opinions no I wasn't which I why I specified that it IS processed but MIGHT qualify as junk. I wasn't implying it's junk because it's processed. I was implying it might be junk though not just because it's processed because processed doesn't equal junk just like you said and I think it was pretty clearly my stance as expressed in my original comment. For example cooking is a form of processing but not all cooked food is junk food. And I'm not sure if Seitan is technically junk food or not but it's definitely not a health food. So definitely not superior to kale. It's just a bunch of concentrated glue-ten. Pretty bad.
Almonds are an amazing source of vitamin E, too. I usually think of those to boost my intake, but will have to keep sunflower seeds in mind, too. :) For choline, there's a handy chart in another one of Brenda Davis and Vesanto Melina's books, Becoming Vegan, that lists good sources of it, and the following are the best sources listed for those on raw food diets: almonds, cashews, flaxseeds, pistachios (all of these at 20-22 mg for 1/4 cup) and 1 medium avocado (28 mg). Raw quinoa comes in at an amazing 60 mg per 1/2 cup - I assume choline content wouldn't be negatively affected by sprouting? (And for the rest of us, I wonder if cooking affects it... something to look up!) You've got me wondering if the tahini I buy is unhulled, as I remember a discussion under one of your past videos where you mentioned the calcium content of tahini, and I noticed that the one I buy has twice as much calcium as what you were saying. :) One possible issue with what you plugged into Cron-o-Meter, though: kind of curious how Kristina's sodium intake ended up that high.
Better source of vitamin E is wheat germ oil. Only 1 tablespoon and You have above 100% RDI of vitamin E (plus the same amount of vitamin K). Vitamin E in supplements is usually not quite the same as in whole food because You often have only one tocopherol (alpha-tocopherol) instead of (You can kinda say) "whole" vitamin E which is made from 4 tocopherols and 4 tocotrienols. I would add one brazil nut for selenium to her diet.
You sound smart so.. how do i go about going vegetarian/ eating vegetarian food most of the time when i don't like the usual soy products? I like beans n halloumi (don't know if that's the right word for the thing) but almost nothing else of the usual protein sources work for me😅
Nice vids. I like when you point you good aspects of her videos and not always negative criticise. Did she ever response to your video (even per personal message) ?
As long as you have a source of vitamin C with iron riched foods it should be okay. Like the peppers in her salad would be a good source for example. She can also take a multivitamin that has vitamin C with her iron rich foods. I thought this was good considering. I mean she used to just eat pounds of figs and watermelon and when I ate a raw diet high in fruits like that I gained weight and I got cavities. Good to see she is changing her diet up
Thank you so much for making these videos! I used to watch Kristina and other UA-camrs preach the gospel of juicing and I bought into it. I would make these giant quantities of liquid and think that I was “cleansing my cells” and “detoxing my body” by drinking all of it 🤦🏽♀️ your videos are awesome, thank you 🙌🏾
Can you do a video on the vitamins both you and baby take? My daughter is 6 months old and I really want to continue the vegan lifestyle because she was born with gastroschisis and has had some complications so her tummy is sensitive. I also want to make sure that I'm getting everything I need so would definitely appreciate a video like that
I "get" the whole raw food enthusiasm and the adherence to such dietary restrictiveness, but for me, it's cooked food or ... gimme death! I can't see, for example, subbing ANY pastas for spiral-y, squash-y noodles, for example. And nothing tastes quite as good as crispy pork belly, either!
I don't trust a person who can smile whilst drinking an entire mason jar of salad juice.
RubixCube93 hahahahahahaha
hahaha that is funny even tho i drink the same thing and smile lol. to each his own. green juice is life for me !
acually its great.....
A green juice, a smoothie, and a salad.... Eh, I'll stick to my cooked food 😂
Carbs Are Happiness and she'll stick to her raw food.
Carbs Are Happiness at least you're vegan.
Anja Aleskari soy has that. Beans!!!
There is literally no whole food without protein. Does not exist.
Carbs Are Happiness it’s like it’s what people think Vegans eat XD
If Kristina were to make any changes in her philosophy on food, it would definitely be very quietly and on the sly. She doesn't strike me as the kind of person/youtube "guru" who can admit "I was wrong."
Jeremy She is typically quiet when she makes changes in her diet, like adding salt.
I would be cold as hell drinking smoothies all day. I’ll stick to oats.
Izunami

Nope. I like fruits but I'd be starving all day if I ate only fruits lol

I would love a podcast
Why is her diet so liquid?
LarnieRadek Poophobia. Very common amongst orthorexic rawfoodists. Obsessed about purity.
Pooping is overrated
No teeth.
She explained in a video..it is about quantities and assimilating a nb.of calories...
All the raw foodists do lol, it's because it's so hard to to actually eat that much raw fruit /vegetables.
I wouldn't mind eating vegan I guess, but raw vegan is just too much. I don't think a green lemony smoothie for breakfast sounds good at all. Lol
I see the soup in your username and all I can think about is winter and the raw diet. I'm vegan but love my hot foods so I would def struggle.
Then go eat vegan :) 💚
Eating vegan is simple, but like... if I didn't eat anything warm for breakfast when it's cold outside, I would freeze 😬
yeah, there's just no reason for it, either. like you don't need to detox anything because your liver's already doing that, that's what it's for, so all those green juices she eats are pretty useless. just eat vegan.

You have to buy it! At her pay-treon.
*i don’t know what to comment about but gotta stay faithful to this comment section
organicallyhannah, no you don’t.
organicallyhannah ask for the seitan recipe
I tried her "Remineralizing Green Juice" and I actually like it! Of course it's strong and nothing like fruit juice but I enjoyed it
Cucumber is fruit?!
Emma Axenchuk anything that contains seeds inside are fruit.
alondra. ....that's literally not true at all. That's one of those "uncommon facts" that everyone says, but its not true.
no, anything forms from flower is fruit.
"Obviously"
Emma Axenchuk yes, it’s a sugarless fruit, part of the melon family.
So you don't think she is undereating? She runs 6 to 8 miles a day she has said. And if i remember correctly she is not short so either she is on a diet or i fucking need to go on one

Well running is reactive so she probably has a lowered metabolism because her body wants to save as much energy as possible
Kale Seitan
Since I became veggie I now worship Seitan.
I see what you did there, well done 👍
Unnatural Vegan! I watched your videos a year ago and have come back and noticed an incredible difference! You're content is so positive, so calm. I truly enjoy watching you now. Thank you for uploading :)
Your little moments at the end of each video are my favorite lol
The smartest way to detox is having 2 kidneys and a liver.
She’s actually been eating a lot more fat and protein powder (and also salt) for a while now. Just take a look at her recipe videos and what I eat videos over the last couple years.
Butternut squash and lentils are good sources of vegan choline too. Good video!
This casual hair and flannel look you got going is freaking hot!
Just in case anyone is wondering, it's not terribly hard to find unhulled sesame seeds in big bulk stores if you look. I haven't seen the white ones near me but I have found unhulled black sesame seeds just in my local winco.

Awesome video UV, thanks for all your hard work!
I would love a video were you go on chronometer and talk a bit of what vegans can eat for each vitamin, mineral, aminocid...
For a raw diet, pretty nutritionally legit.

The brand is Halo beauty and all their ingredients can be found on the Instagram
Oh Tati. I remember she used to be my favorite UA-camr, I've un subscribed a few months back so don't know her current shenanigans

What is your opinion on the diets of Raw Alignment (Alyse) and Kate Flowers?
California Mountain Art And Life. Seeing as how wheat is one of the main ingredients in Tabbouleh, there is no way you can do that raw.
TeleTrans 1 There was not wheat on her salad. It was tabouli inspired.
I don't get the whole critiquing other UA-cam's thing in the first place.
A good healthy drink to have is green tea. Japanese green tea is the best especially Matcha. But you should drink it only because you like the taste, first and foremost. Health benefits should be just a bonus.
Green tea is awesome! Still I enjoy more the blended ones because plain green tea is too bitter for me.
I used to have a shirt that said "hail Seitan" with a pentagram inside a cast iron skillet lol. It was amazing.
"I'm supposed to remind you because you're an idiot." For some reason this made me giggle! Lol!
I tried to eat the way she does a few years ago, but I stopped because it was 1) too expensive 2) boring long term 3) I was rarely satisfied 4) it’s wasteful 5) I only have one fridge so I had to go to the supermarket nearly every day
I feel great now that I eat a ”normal” diet.
How is she getting the vitamins from all those greens if she doesn’t have ANY fat in it?
Girl this is most animated I’ve seen you be in a video in ages lol woot! 😂 So much sass lol
I really like your "positive" videos! They aren't less instructive than when you debunk stuff, because you explain the science just as much! We go through enough negativity in our everyday life for UA-cam to drag us through more... I hope you'll continue to make more positive videos!
I'm an omnivore myself, but I watch your channel so I can learn about another lifestyle. I just felt like putting that out there.
Are you Kristina’s PR manager? Imma subscribe to Kristina now. Thanks for sharing her channel.
i love how you ramble after every statement lol, great video
"Fact: Bears eat beets. Bears, Beets, Battlestar Galactica!"
😂 Not totally sure what made me think of this. But I do want to give you a big 👍for growing as a person and trying something different. Although, I do still love your old content. Keep evolving. Stay awesome!
I upped my fat and protein from my stupid 80/10/10 diet for about a year now and its made such a difference!
I noticed she was changing when she started using protection powder. I’m pretty sure she never did before.
It’s cold where I’m at rn and just watching Kristina eat only cold raw food makes me shiver.. 😬 I couldn’t and wouldn’t do that lol
So, peanuts have choline? I added peanuts to the chronometer today, and it says 0% on the chronometer. Does it have to be a specific kind of peanut? Because choline is usually the only thing I'm deficient in. Peanuts just don't seem to be helping me out with this.
What do you think about starch-based diet? Eating everyday beans, pulses, whole wheat bulgur, potatoes, rice etc with little greens and fruits.
I have unhulled hemp seeds. All i can do with them is hemp milk. Any suggestions?
UK viewers: Unhulled sesame seeds can be found easily in Holland and Barrett!
How ironic that halfway through your video it wa interrupted by a Jack in the Box ad for their pork belly BLT.
She made vegetable juices before. She once made a natural version of v8 juice. I copied it and it was awesome.
Is that why she looks better?
Maybe I'm crazy but I kind of like Kristina 😂
It's really not as big of an issue as some people try to make it out to be.
mel v Canoleo is also a good dairy free alternative for butter and haves the standard butter price. That is the brand I'm using now.
How do you feel about the vitamin made by popular beauty guru Tati Westbrook?
Gina Ann yes! Please talk about this!

🙅🏼♀️🙅🏼♀️🙅🏼♀️🙅🏼♀️🙅🏼♀️
Been really enjoying these more relaxed videos. :)
I laughed so hard when you called us all idiots...thanks for that! 😂
Hulled stops sounding like a real word the third repetition and starts sounding like a fantasy insult.
Tbh I’ve been watching a lot of your content and tbh you make me want to try veganism or at least a vegetarian life style. And maybe even get my parents involved.
Just noticed that you hair got longer! Looks good 😊
How do I eat healthy without getting gassy?
She has always made green juice and used seeds.....I feel you are picking on her.
Loving her positivity lately
"I have to remind you, because you are an idiot."...That was so freaken hilarious! XD
I've heard other raw vegans, like Raw Alignment, moving away from high carb-fruit based diets to more fat and protein and lots of greens.
Wow I never thought she’d do this
Damm I'm with you girl forget that this is the reason I'm not eating my vegetables.Im going back to fast good.
This is a lot healthier than the way I eat but I just can't imagine eating only raw. I live in a very cold climate and a nice warm meal is what gets me through winter.
She's doing better, but she still is 100% set on not giving up a raw diet. It doesn't take much to tell her biases are super strong.
Kale or seitan, or both?
Tyler Resto kale is pretty good I guess but seitan is processed food dude that might even qualify as junk food.
sowhat
processed food=/=junk food
Some Dude with Opinions your comment as a reply to mine makes no sense.
sowhat It was my understanding that you were implying that Seitan is a junk food because it's processed.
Pretty bad.
I'm sure she's glad she has your approval!
Beans and legumes master race.
Almonds are an amazing source of vitamin E, too. I usually think of those to boost my intake, but will have to keep sunflower seeds in mind, too. :)
For choline, there's a handy chart in another one of Brenda Davis and Vesanto Melina's books, Becoming Vegan, that lists good sources of it, and the following are the best sources listed for those on raw food diets: almonds, cashews, flaxseeds, pistachios (all of these at 20-22 mg for 1/4 cup) and 1 medium avocado (28 mg). Raw quinoa comes in at an amazing 60 mg per 1/2 cup - I assume choline content wouldn't be negatively affected by sprouting? (And for the rest of us, I wonder if cooking affects it... something to look up!)
You've got me wondering if the tahini I buy is unhulled, as I remember a discussion under one of your past videos where you mentioned the calcium content of tahini, and I noticed that the one I buy has twice as much calcium as what you were saying. :)
One possible issue with what you plugged into Cron-o-Meter, though: kind of curious how Kristina's sodium intake ended up that high.
I knew about the B12 but not the vitamin E or choline. This was helpful, thank you.
How often do you take your multi? Do you take any other supplements? Why do most vegans supplement their vitamins separately?
You sound smart so.. how do i go about going vegetarian/ eating vegetarian food most of the time when i don't like the usual soy products? I like beans n halloumi (don't know if that's the right word for the thing) but almost nothing else of the usual protein sources work for me😅
Hiii what's the website you are using in the video?? it seems so helpful!! please if someone knows can you tell me?
Olimpya Eyre cronometer!
Thank you vey much! :)
Nice vids.
I like when you point you good aspects of her videos and not always negative criticise.
Did she ever response to your video (even per personal message) ?
What do you think of the month long fruit cleanse done once a year? Only sweet fruits and water lol
She is great... she’s getting enough calories and SO many vitamins and minerals. Please do this wither her diet vs a regular meat eaters diet!!
"unnatural vegan is a piece of shit" ¬ john rose 2017 ¬
thats why we love him , he's not afraid to use the apropriate words when needed.
I would make these giant quantities of liquid and think that I was “cleansing my cells” and “detoxing my body” by drinking all of it 🤦🏽♀️ your videos are awesome, thank you 🙌🏾
UK RDA fot vitamin E is 4mg for men and 3mg for women, yet Cronometer says 15mg! What's that about??
Great video, off topic though you look really pretty!!❤️
Can you do a video on the vitamins both you and baby take? My daughter is 6 months old and I really want to continue the vegan lifestyle because she was born with gastroschisis and has had some complications so her tummy is sensitive. I also want to make sure that I'm getting everything I need so would definitely appreciate a video like that
Hey off topic from the video but what's your opinion on vegans eating fish eggs ?
What is the name of that app that you use to know percentages of vitamins and proteins... ? :)
kale seitan
Guava and kiwi is high in vitamin C i get it from whole foods is it good?
Please make a video all about vitamins/supplements!
but kristina says that she never take B12 suplements..just regulary check
I "get" the whole raw food enthusiasm and the adherence to such dietary restrictiveness, but for me, it's cooked food or ... gimme death!
I can't see, for example, subbing ANY pastas for spiral-y, squash-y noodles, for example.
And nothing tastes quite as good as crispy pork belly, either!
