Lure wise started using a white ice and pearl white Zoom swimmin fluke with a 3/8ths ounce Yamamoto 4/0 football head with the stronger Gamakatsu hook vs the owner version. This is unconventional but it makes the fluke rock back and forth vs just the tail kicking. Second Pro cure anchovy Gel. Its not pretty like a custom painted Wood bomber but it really works and its very cheap. A pack of the Zoom swimmin flukes is under 5 bucks , the Yamamoto football jigs run $3.99 for a pack of 5 and the PR0CURE runs 8 bucks for a 2oz Bottle or $20.00 for a big 8 ounce bottle. I got lucky crafts,Megabass, the River 2 Sea whopper ploppers and loads of custom plugs and this Zoom Swimmin fluke and football combo is getting the job done at a fraction of the cost. I also took the combo up to the upper delta where anglers tend to use the trout or salmon smolt lures such as the whopper plooper and highly expensive glide baits and got my share of quality bass on the cheap zoom and football combo. Nothing works every time on the strpers there definitely a day to day fish but I Know i accidentally put together a odd combo that works amazing success . Its way funnier than dunking bait and waiting for the bass to pick up the smell and come pick it up off the bottom.
New anglers, dont do what this guy do and stop your bait. 99% of the time striper will bail. Striper are not largemouth, you can slow down your retrieve but never stop
