Nice car. I totally get wanting to go to a smaller wheel. I love the look of the stock wheel but they are just too big for these cars. A tilt column is another great upgrade for these cars, fixing to put one in my wagon here real soon as the front end goes back together.
I have a 64 Bel Air as well & I need to remove mine. Whats the small difference since its close to the same way of removing the steering wheel in the video?
@@juliandrake1634 I don't know, I just bought the puller and haven't tried to remove mine yet. From what I have seen this looks pretty close to how it should be removed. I was hoping the maker of this video had some input.
That was easy but the dimple in column bold says the wheel was off before..using the same set up the original wheel on my '66 Corvair Corsa will NOT come off...thinking of using heat but i don't want to wreck anything..
It's too big... I need a tilt column otherwise it's too hard to get in and out. This new wheel is 3" smaller and makes it easy enough... Once I get the tilt column it will be back. I agree!

@@mrbubbles2002 I'm gonna do mine.. The last owner didn't put it on right so its a little loose. The only thing holding it is the middle nut. 😬
Do you know how to remove the column?
