I don't think you can go wrong with either card. With extremely similar performance, I would guess the driver updates, or lack thereof (AMD has either stopped updates or about to for the 580), and the power consumption might be the deciding factor.
Alan wake 2 is the first of many future games already feeling the effects of no driver support for the 580 when it should be doing as well as the gtx here. For budget gamers it will still have some value for games made in its era.
@@mrman6035 its drivers not the game because in linux alan wake 2 plays 30fps+ with rx580
Think about the drivers too. 580 should get that May update but they won't which sucked. 🤷♀
