  • Attorney Kayla Bumpus represented Kenneth "Lil' Woody" Copeland for one day during an ex parte meeting in Judge Ural Glanville's chambers. The meeting occurred after Copeland invoked his 5th Amendment privilege on the stand during the RICO trial of Jeffrey Williams, the rapper known as Young Thug. Judge Glanville implied that Bumpus may have told Williams' attorney, Brian Steel, about the meeting and violated attorney-client privilege. Glanville held Steel in contempt when he refused to disclose his source. Law&Crime's Angenette Levy talks with Kayla Bumpus about the allegation and the possibility she and others could be held in contempt in this episode of Crime Fix - a daily show covering the biggest stories in crime.

It's unfortunate that an attorney providing a stand in role (for a client that is not hers) is now subjected to potential charges by the sitting judge in this trial. He had a family vacation booked a year in advance and was upfront with the court about it from the start.

Also, Melnick(hope I'm close with spelling) said he was filing a bar complaint against DA love in open court earlier this trial.

The reason why there is nobody going after her is because she did nothing wrong, infact if she was the one who gave the defense that information she stood up to a literal corrupt judge and prosecution. This means she is a hero. So she is either a hero or wrongly accused. Either way she does deserve all the positive support she needs. As this corruption is tackled head on.
