"The goal isn't to be the best, it's about being better than you were yesterday." Again, thanks Ruri. I think I need to apply this mindset in my every day life.
A lot of words but sometimes (from my old ages the field showed me what works). I believe in you @Mindborn23 You can improve your life and it has already been started. You do great. You have an uniqueness that Universe needs. Never blessings are apart of you from past, now and future. i take on me all negativ forces they will not pass ! Free now the way is yours 🌟
I have always been interested in reading about Miyamoto Musashi, and one of my favourite writers is Junichiro Tanezaki, a sort of Japanese Honore de Balzac. I have recently started to learn Japanese because of these interests, and came across a quote by Miyamoto Musashi that really resonated with me, as i have always had a problem with being too cowardly especially in career, abd with women), and this quote is so INCREADIBLY DEEP that it helps my biggest problems of laziness, procrastination and lack of courage: "When you want to win in Battle, you must fight as if you are ALREADY dead." - Miyamoto Musashi -.
You know what is interesting in your videos. You talk about things that you are completely familiar with but your audiences do not know anything about them. Like things related to Japanese culture. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
There is an anonymous saying: “It’s not happiness that brings us gratitude. It’s gratitude that brings us happiness.“ If you look around yourself right now (or look within) listen for a surge of gratitude. Or even a little trickle. Breathe in. Let your shoulders drop as you exhale. When it comes to you, note it here.
Self-improvement is the key of life. It is what the differences between peoples. I know today the importance of learning things, reading books, watching different things, and making day-a-day in my life what I know.
I think the best thing I did this year was invest in myself by joining a time management course. Not only did my coach have a great program, community and system, but the level of accountability, and having someone there every week on coaching calls that actually walked the talk and knew what we were going through really helped me. Those 8 weeks have saved me years and years to come. I paid for speed and urgency and it immediately paid off, and videos like these just help me add more reinforcement to my existing structure! Thank you Ruri!
I struggle with procrastination a lot, but then I changed my approach and everything changed. Of course it takes time and you need to learn a lots of things about yourself but then you will become the winner
To face challenges and get out of comfort zone does not have to be a sudden change. The bigger the change, the more resistant you are. You can start with a fraction of the work and gradually get yourself into it, the important thing being the fact that you start to take action and are aware of your agency. There is a certain benefit for procrastination and that is giving yourself time to expand and deepen the quality of your thoughts and plan, but start promptly and take it in steady pace, allowing some kind of "regulated procrastination". Starting things early will allow you time for such procrastination.
YOU HELPED ME SO MUCH! I only recently discovered your channel, but especially in times where I find myself in a rut or unmotivated, your videos gave me inspiration and focus. Thank you!
Amazing, I did not know about it but came to some of this principles by myself. The most part I learned from working as an it specialist in a group of professionals in a big company.
I don't know how you do it But everytime I'm dealing with a problem within a day or two , you upload the video in the same topic!!! thank you so much for that❤ it helped me alot!! People say what can a video do? But the thing is you just need some motivation to reach your goal weather its internal or external!❤
Hey Ruri thank you for sharing .. I'm a brazilian n I've learned japanese martial arts here w old masters from Japan since the 80's and I had the opportunity to learn another way as u described called Shugendou .. I believe that u know as well n also helps me a lot to keep up the pace in life 🙂 thank u for this beautiful culture n for spreading this knowledge .. the world we live in needs it がんばてください🎁‼️
This is a great video. I really like Makoto, because reflecting with myself helps me understand what I am putting off and why. I want to learn Japanese(signed up for mochomochi) and I have been putting off studying it. I think it's because I am being challenged at the level I'm at and maybe I'm afraid to fail memorizing things quickly. But failure is okay, I should continue to work at my goals. Thanks for this video Ruri.
I always love the way you share knowledge to us. You're very calm and sincere. It feels good to listen to your videos because I don't feel being rushed in, instead, it is like you're going this path together with us. Thank you so much for your videos, Ruri. Love from here ❤
Improvement requires implementation. "An ounce of action is worth a ton of theory." There are so many ideas out there telling us what is good or what is better, but you don't know until you experience it yourself, until you're able to test it out, applying it to something real in your life. This is essential to Kaizen.
Thank you for making this video, I’ve been struggling with poor mindsets and the concepts you’ve outlined are exactly what I was looking for. Keep up the great content!
Great video! A lot of what you say falls under the philosophy of Stoicism. I highly recommend reading “Discipline is Destiny” by Ryan Holiday. He mentions a master swordsman practicing drawing his sword two thousand times a day and also something closely related to Jūnzai which is to “achieve formlessness.” Change is the only constant and it’s not good to be rigid in your methods. Thanks for the video, Ruri! 😊
This unique philosophy valued honour, reckless bravery and selflessness, as well as duty to the warrior's master with the purpose of giving up one's life and embracing death.
I LOVE YOUR CONTENT. I've been so inspired by your work to raise the bar on my own content. Your editing and storytelling is so engaging, without sacrificing any of the art or passion you'd like to fit into each video.
I heard about Bushido before, and I was really interested in it, and the way you explained those 7 virtues makes really a lot more comprehendable to me. I'm really excited about it and I want to try to apply the code Bushido in my daily life and see where it takes me. Especially, since there are lots of things that wish to improve on. Thank you so much for this helpful video 🙏.
Just, thank you! Your content is gold! It's incredibly well said. "i've learned these principle for 22 years already, yet I'm still improving" Those are your words. Amazing :)
