  • Welcome to this follow up video about my TASCAM DR-05X. One of the reasons I originally bought this, and one of the things I couldn’t get to work, was using an external microphone with it. Well, now I know why I couldn’t get that to work and I know how to get it to work. If you are experiencing similar problems, watch this vide, it may just help!

For most recording I use a middle of the road lapel mic (It's a few years old, the name is worn off but I remember it fell in the middle of the price range for what was available). For software I am using Power Director which has minimal audio editing capabilities but works well enough (I plan on upgrading soon). For streaming or voice over I use the TASCAM directly as an input device.
