I am doing a depth year this year also. I am not making it about shopping or lack of shopping, I’m focusing more on diving deeper into my existing interests as I am a serial hobbyist. I feel like a jack of all hobbies and master of none. So this year I am going to spend time on my existing hobbies rather than focusing on discovering new hobbies. Looking forward to your tarot journal setup!

So excited for your new content Dawn. Love your authenticity about your depth year. From watching many of your monthly reflections and other videos you created this year, I would say you definitely did achieve a lot of in depth study. It's your discussing how you do them that inspires me to do the same, and really get so much more out of my devotional, seasonal and personal practises, with decks, books and Journalling my journeys. Next winter (currently summer here) I plan to Take up the runes. Something I've always wanted to do. Also I'm so glad you mentioned the Fox energy. Fox energy has been inundating every type of newsfeed I have, and I keep putting off looking into it. This msg was another good push from the Universe to do it. Thanks again Dawn!

Nothing was normal for 2020. Retail therapy was a real needed thing in 2020. As you know I am doing a DY for 2021. And I am interested to see how it turns out. My areas of Depth are art, magical studies and Arthurian myth. It's not a no buy year this time around for me but I do have restrictions. I just like how doing a DY whether "successful" or not gets us to think deeply in lots of different areas and ask ourselves probing questions about FOMO, retail therapy, our tarot practice, and what we connect to. Here is to a better 2021 and lots of healing and forward momentum for us all.

Oh no, now I will covet Oak, Ash, Thorn even more from seeing it on your channel, haha! I think you will enjoy it though; a friend shared a reading using it, and it was just spot-on (with the wonderful "hanged man" mouse coming up right during the election craziness!) (The other expensive decks on my wishlist for 2021 are Weavers Oracle, Spacious Tarot, Rainbow Heart Tarot, Monstarot, and Forager's Daughter Tarot, but too many gorgeous decks just keep coming out!) I also purchased "the lost spells" book after seeing Kelly's review of it (I'm a big sucker for poetry+art books) and it's on its way to me from the UK, yay! I'll be looking forward to your thoughts on "Witches Wisdom" (I couldn't resist purchasing it when Hayhouse had a 50% off sale), as I'm not sure if it will work well for me as a tarot (versus a single-card-pull oracle). You may not have room for this anytime soon, but I'd love it if you did a video each season (maybe in tandem with your favorite decks by season videos), about your seasonal practice in general. For example, what Winter Magick (if any) do/did you incorporate into your practice in addition to tarot spreads/journaling? I am very new to seasonal-based witchcraft, but I am trying to incorporate some Winter rituals into my life, so far mostly based on what I'm learning in "The Witches Herbal Apothecary" book (e.g. taking more time to prepare for sleep/deeply entering "the portal to the North" each night by sitting in darkness with candlelight, or hot baths to wind-down before bed, etc., or another practice I'm considering is exploring seasonal herbs, maybe by by gathering pine needles to make pine oil, or just picking one seasonal herb like Mugwort to explore as a tea/ bath infusion/ or pillow sachet. Maybe your winter practice looks more like taking more time to read or study in solitude? Thanks for the great content!

Firstly, your hair looks so pretty today! I've had Divine Muses on my buy list forever. I'll have to consider it again and decide if it's a must for me. It's nice to hear that the guidebook is really good. That's important to me. I have a long list of decks I would like but many of them are hard to find or rare, so I'm not too nervous about how long the list is....hee! I look for vintage and rare decks, so I guess I'm a collector and I like alot of variety too. To insure I'm using all my decks I started posting my daily readings on IG a couple months ago and it's fun and I enjoy sharing my thoughts and decks. I'm excited for the new year and look forward to what you come up with for 2021!

@@DawnMichelleTarot I purchased Hush Tarot several months back, drawn very much to the style of art, it was a pure impulse buy. The artwork is incredible, the cards are beautiful. This, in part, is why I collect the decks of cards I do have. If I'm drawn to the art work, each deck is like a flip book of art you love! Not knowing exactly what encompassed HUSH, it was definitely different than any deck I already had in my collection. It covers every aspect of a birds life, in life and death, which I was not aware of, because of my own impulsivity, without a deeper look into the deck's meaning by the artist. I've learned now to take the time to know what the artist/author's purpose in producing the deck is!!! While I will never read with my Hush deck, I do appreciate the beautiful artwork of the entire deck.

Usually I a do a year ahead spread at the new year, and then each of those would be my card for the month. This year I'm doing things differently.
