- In todays video we are finishing off the the last bits to our cow shed which will make it ready for the other half to be filled with ladies. Marc is back, Andrew waring is back and we finally have gates!

I'm an old lady who has never farmed... sooo WHY DO I FEEL THE JOY IN THIS SOOO MUCH? Been watching for a while and now truly know in my next life I want to be a farmer. I've always loved farms, farmers ( not literally 😉), animals and outdoors. Watch a ton of farming Tubers and fell in love with your channel with the highlands- which I miss btw- but am THRILLED TO see this project from the beginning. Farming families are the hardest working people ever! Much respect to you all. Can't wait to see the time-lapse on this project.
I grew up on a Holstein Cow farm, milk was the best ever and the freezer was always full of meat.

There’s nothing like having a brand new loafing barn for your dairy cattle. It looks amazing! Most people won’t appreciate what building a new loafing barn means for your dairy operation but anyone with cattle will. They did an awesome job.

You definitely have to do a year review next December. Possibly go over any issues, plus any improvement in cow health, foot health, milk production etc.

Well done young man . An impressive job! Looks great from the air! With luck you will get a big boost in production due to cow comfort, we did. C. 7.5 percent. Extra feed space more comfortable beds all add up. I have always said it's hard to beat the level of skill of an English engineer when it comes to construction or anything else for that matter and your lads did a great job, it wasn't cheap but it will last, I have every confidence, and coming from an Irish bloke that is high praise indeed!

I can't wait to see the finished job of the 100% complete clean-up of the exterior. Rubbish, wood, metal. concrete pieces, rubber, odd bits, JUNK, etc. etc. etc.!!!
Have You heard of / do You use Stokbord or eko ply? (spelled correctly.) Its recycled plastic 8 x 4 sheets to replace plywood for farmers. It will last "forever" and its good for lining gates or trailer decks. You name it, anywhere you my use plywood. Its very cost effective. Can be drilled. riveted. etc. No plug. Just know its good stuff.

I wanted to tell you Tom. We used to have a corriedale sheep in Indiana. But when my brothers went to college they sold the farm. Now my parents and. I live in Arizona, My dad isn’t really a you tube person…..but everyday I tell him about what’s going on with your farm.

The other thing is, I like to listen to you because you feel like a neighbor talking to me about the farm. I’ve been watching other cows shows plus you know it The hoof GP…and all the cows are dirty…ddiiirrrtttttyyyy. 😵🤢 But your cows are soooooo clean. I don’t know if you realized it 🥰🥰 I mean if I had to…I would sleep with the cows.. I sound like a crazy person 😬If I had to….. Also make sure that you film more birthing cows. And that cow, she isn’t that ugly !

at 3-0 ;;; poles and chains an old farm measure for plowing (Called lands) a chain was one land 22 yards = cricket pitch. also land drain pipes were laid to this measure about 7 mtrs. 8 poles -= chain 10 chain = 1 furlong 8 furlong = 1 english mile. approx 1-64 klm.

Its a great cheap and effective solution for so many applications.
We have some to surround our new Trees. Keeps out the bunnies, our monster sheep and is tall enough to protect the new saplings and trees from our Alpacas. Brilliant stuff.
And if you bought yours you can sell them and almost get your money back.

Hopefully you can have a panel retrospective on the building project of the shed and clamp, with your father, Andrew Waring, the chap from easyfix (the beds) and yourself. That would be really interesting for all, as well as those looking to upgrade their own farms.
