Criselda Lewis has to be recognized as the bravest lady in South Africa. Braver than all the politicians and police put together. I’m as proud of her as if she was my own daughter. What a lady

this lady of sabc she is brave, really doing her job with passion.
Let her excercise 🤣🤣
She is not brave, but silly why don't they deploy white reporters on the ground
@@qalaninhliziyo2354 because we struggle to get that position of job.
Perhaps she can usurp Malemma
Very brave
I didn't sleep last night crying asking myself... why are we destroying our own country?
I feel it with u wish i could just cry all night and rather not sleep very SAD there is going to be no jobs for a long time
Same its really sad ..
Same with me I slept in tears it's heartbreaking
Same feeling

They will suffer the consequences of their own actions
The reporters composure and diction is very admirable.
I really love the reporter
I thought the same. She is fearless yet responsible. Does anybody know her name? She is fantastic. Has just as much guts as that lone security guard. My heart breaks @ this nonsensical savagery.
Tomorrow these people will say the government must give them food because they are "hungry".
So what...
@@dverster8644 Given the dynamic and dangerous location I admired her example of professionalism.

When things have calmed down in the future these people in this particular community will complain that there is no work, food and other resources in the area. Don’t bite the hand that feeds you!
We are all thinking of the long term impact but those who are suffering from all the COVID regulations are desperate cause they don’t even have a plate of food for their families.

'Things' will never calm down. This is just the beginning. It is a power play that will destroy everything in its' path.
You POS. People impoverished will rise up. What do you think they will do
They will rebuild everything...EVERYTHING!!!

I don't have no food at home, shops are closed and I don't know how to loot is not in my nature.
😢
This is embarrassing and unacceptable, l am speechless 😳
AND THEN YOU HAVE THE EFF calling for an EXPLANATION as to WHY the Army has been deployed?????....WHY must everything be politicised?...Is not this one of the thousand signs that our country is on a downward spiral?WHEN are our political leaders EVER going to learn??? WHEN???
if i may ask why is Zuma got to do with this loitering, people lack of knowledge they wanted to do this long ago but they didn't have strategy. We are losing our jobs for what and for who. this is healthy. I agree with Bongekile Mdletshe 'ignorance is a choice'
Two words..
State Capture
Or
The Guptas
Malls that have been looted should be closed for a year and there should feel the pain of not having any shops to buy from
I fear that some of these malls may never reopen. Insurance may be overwhelmed by this and be unable to pay out
These malls are 100% closed for the next year.
yeah no, those malls wont open again ever.
And this means more job losses 😞
These malls are gone. Natal is gone

Ignorance is a choice.
Not true! Look up the definition again. If you don't get an education you are ignorant of knowledge within the education. If you are rich you are ignorant of the reality of poverty, just like if you are poor, you are ignorant of the reality of wealth and being rich. Ignorance is a reality of societal shortcomings. Eg. lack of quality education. Corruption. Corprate greed and influence on politicians!
These media channels should use drones to be able to cover the whole
They'll just stone it which would cost even more

Those drones would be looted as well

Always the innocent, hardworking masses that are hurt by these criminals.
THANK YOU ANC...😡😡😡 NOW WE ARE JOBLESS
Reality kicking in?
Its not ANC thieves education is important
It's not ANC but STUPIDITY on another level.... even us as people if police retaliated we were going to complain and blame the police... The very same looters will suffer they must not think they got away with murder... Love Karma
Of course it's the ANC. They should have improved the quality of education by now after so many years in power. Also why are no leaders mobilising against this rampage?
If foreigners done this they would be killed on the spot. Sad state our country is in
The confidence and control that Chriselda has is scary.
Kudos and a speedy recovery to SA economy.
These businesses will think twice about opening again
so now what?? now the rest of the country needs to suffer because of mindless rubbish human beings
Trust me Ramaphosa and his alliance that’s when they’ll jump in a manner of rescuing the economy, the idea is let people loot, we’ll loot the economy when they are done , it’s still same issue of state capture, Our president is very smart by acting stupid and helpless, we’ll that’s just my 2 cents Opinion. They know what they’re doing, they know very well
South Africa is losing its value
Amazing journalist...keep it up

How about that lone security guard. Please give him a huge bonus.
I commend the reporter and the camera crew for being in the middle of chaos. This lady did some awesome reporting. I hope none of the media personnel were injured. To the innocent people left to pick up the pieces and shop owners , my sincere condolences.

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) said in a statement on Monday that due to the current violence, cash-in-transit (CIT) companies will not provide any cash delivery services to its cash pay points until further notice.
“Beneficiaries are urged to remain calm and await communication as to when the payment at pay points will resume,” it said.
The oppressed, instead of striving for liberation, tend themselves to become oppressors.” “Liberation is thus a childbirth, and a painful one
Who are they oppressing?.
They are not opressing no one. The government is to be blamed and the people who sell land at villages calling themselves "kings of the village"... Land should be shared amongst SA citizens without compensation
fantastic and brave reporting by this young lady
Young what?Ok I take it you're joking right?
Cyril started his term in the worst time. Imagine he’s been president through a pandemic and they expect him to make changes Zuma didn’t. Zuma is the reason for all this poverty and unemployment in South Africa.
How is Zuma being a reason in your opinion? Not hear said you speak as if Ramaphosa was not part of government we where we are because of people like you Ramaphosa was the leader of government businesses as a deputy president he didn't stop anything, report or resign from his duty because of not want to be part of the so called corrupt government but he was there until the end he didn't start he was continuing and promoted to higher office after he came and tell us it was 9 wasted years of which he was part of and promised to end the corruption there comes R500 billions what happened is that still Zuma I don't say Zuma didn't do wrong but blaming everything and keep following will give anything instead we will lose as it happens now.
That is exactly what my mother said😂
@@BuhlebzNetwork the 500bn was used to give you guys 350s, to support SMMEs, and to provide vaccines, it’s South Africa so I wouldn’t be surprised if some looting was not involved but it’s better than what it would have been under Zuma. Everyone knows DPs have not power, he was waiting for his term unfortunately he got it at the worst time. I’m proud of him, for going after these politicians one by one. Before you say it, I know he is not innocent, but I’m also happy with the little justice we were finally getting.
And BILLIONS are "MISSING"!!
That is so true, I also blame Zuma for everything that is happening in our country, and people want to treat him like a hero and he is a scumbag. I would literally spit on him when I see him. 🤬
We are looking at mayhem and we are so sensitive about well justified profanity. Noam Chomsky... I hope you are watching sir. This journalist is amazing. There's guts and then there's journalistic GUTS. She has it.
They messed up big time, zuma family and his supporters should be held accountable, they incited violence.
I'm sure the violence instigators are happy but their happiness will be short lived since their corrupt scandals will be exposed soon.

Railway infrastructure was totally destroyed during last year and this year. The steel, copper, aluminium, brass, corrugated sheets, doors and windows completely stripped. These buildings still have all of the above. Restoration is far from possible in the near future.
Slow looting
Poverty and bad leadership are the cause of all this.
Bad leadership implementing bad policy delivers poverty. Let’s PRAY the electorate doesn’t vote EFF for an even worse result. They need to turn in the opposite direction to classic liberalism in teh form of a coalition of the other parties and leave the ANC/EFF OUT as their ideas are the problem.

Will the EFF and Zuma and the Gupta's fund all who suffered loses due to such acts?
Workers must fight for a better future. The current one which brought this is untenable. Don't blame the people. Blame the ANC and their masters.
U are very correct sir..All the minister's had their fare share where is 500 billion that disappeared into the hands of ANC members and its ministers ...so everyone who is on top there once benefit and why blame everything on Zuma now...and again Ramaphosa can't open his mouth and talk cos he knows very well that he also has dirty closet

Politics can be Evil
Mr President, remember how you reacted to the theft of your iPad? Now think about all the people who have been robbed of everything. Shame on you and your party.
Lol 😂 True Haridas 991
Haridas991 they all have insurance except for the actually people looting, they dont even have a medical aid. Now think about the innocent injured by a crossfire...
The security guard should be rewarded by the company who employed him. He is a very, very brave man.
The ruling party has lost control and credibility. The SAPS and SANDF not capable. It's a failed state with a rotten govt. ANC factions taking SA down with them. #VoetsekANC
Ramaphosa and his people are just so relaxed about the whole thing cos they know all this ANC members have skeletal in their closed...let Zuma come out and expose all of them cos even our president is a criminal ...they cannot act quickly cos they all have scandal's....see Ramaphosa can't even talk bullshit... president
Or maybe they are relaxed because this doesn't effect there salaries? Its no skin of there backs. Its not there shops that are looted or there workers they have to let go... I feel so sorry for the owners of theese business... They worked day and night years maybe even to get where they where and now... Now its all gone.
SABC is the best news broadcaster in SA. Thank you for what you do.
Is it mostly women who have lost their jobs... and who are the looters?
These same people will vote ANC again, not because they are doing anything for them but because they can do this and know that nothing will happen to them
This government is pooped n these people are so ignorant soon this country will face the consequences of all this
Sad..
I cry for Africa.
This is very disheartening.
I remember the words of u Gogo Aubrey Mantsiqi, during an interview with Sakina. He did foretell all of these turbulent occurrences, all the loss of property, lives, and a possible escalation of covid 19 cases deaths.
I truly believe that the Spirits of our ancestors (Amadlozi wethu) are really sad, they are weeping and unhappy, with something very deep, incomprehensible to many people who are not spiritually enlightened.
I never envisaged that I would one day see such levels of dilapidation, and crimes of utmost savagery.
