Thank you for sharing these videos. Because so, I joined the MWTCA this year. Fantasticly enough the area show is in my town! I just got my magazine. Well worth the yearly subscription.
I tell you this is also a great place to get Christmas presents for guys who aren’t into antique tools. Everyone appreciates an old level, square or marking gauge that’s been cleaned up!
Hoping to find hand powered woodworking tools in my new home turf of San Diego. Had to quickly liquidate all my collection of 3 generations of tools Quickly due to health care needs of my dear wife. Mission accomplished!!! Fewer than 7 survives the first month of APL Leukemia at my wife is now testing Leukemia Free! Once things settle down, I should be more than the chief cook and bottle washer( although have clean fingers and no bloody nics is a different thing for me). Hoping to be 'suffering splinters ' again soon...
Glad to hear she's doing better. That is amazing. Have you looked at PAST didn't have started putting out more tool meets recently. Looking forward to seeing what you make.
This one happens every year. And if you're in the Rockford area you're in a hot bed for mwtca tool meets. There's one about 45 minutes away in August there's another one up towards Milwaukee in January and there's a couple of the Chicago area throughout the years.
There are two in Orlando and Tampa, and there might be one starting in Clearwater. Most the time when people want one of their own town they start it. We will help you out we just need someone on the ground who can find a location for it and get everything ready on the day of.
Hi, nice to see that the activity is on its way back up again, for a long summer to come. I will most likely come over again, from Norway, for the event in Springfield. Just an idea, what about inviting MISSOURI VALLEY WRENCH CLUB, to come and have stands with you? It will give you both more tools and wider selection of tools, for sale and on display. I hope that this i something to think about. See you guys in September. Best regards, Harald.
Yes. This year it moved from Forest hills Lodge which was demolished down to the union hall near State and perryville. It'll be at the same place again next year. Will you be at the national convention next week?
@@WoodByWrightHowTo no sorry I will not be there. Helped my friend with a military and train show at the lodge then when it was taken down he had the show at cliff breakers but it is to expensive for him to have the show at cliff breakers.
I can’t believe the price of them planes the wooden ones I understand but standard metal planes. I see them all over took a bunch of of them to the scrapyard.
I live in the greater Cincinnati, Ohio area and have a large collection of wood body planes, I'm looking to sell. Let me know if you know someone who may be interested? I have a spreadsheet listing of the planes with maker's name etc.
I wish we had something like this in europe! looks absolutely crazy
There used to be. But I haven't heard of any since covid

The Merle strap clamp is sold by HValley tools. It should have adjustable pads in the jaws.

If only i didn't have to finish building my shed! I was planning on going to this one
Hope to see you at the next one. Looking forward to the national conference
Bro, I’m in the west burbs and I didn’t even know about this!
There are around 6 of these shows within 2 hours drive of you. You can get invited if you join the MWTCA.
I had no idea these types of events existed and being only 10 miles from home I'm sad I missed it

Thanks for the video. After seeing this I see that there's still a few tools out there I would like to have. My wallet sends its regards!

I look forward to seeing you there. I will have to pass the idea along to Larry (the host) that could be a fun miser.
If only I knew!
It is there every year. You have to be an MWTCA member to get an invite though.
@@WoodByWrightHowTo how do you join? I grew up there but only recently started getting into woodworking, still nearby though and hour east or so
You can join online at www.mwtca.org they have several meets within a couple hours drive.

It all depends on their usability.

There are several tool meets out that way if you want to sell there.
