There's actually this interesting psychological theory that your brain doesn't really remember anything like it actually is, it's all personally biased. So the way you think a window is is probably nothing like it unless you're looking right at one.

God, I feel so awkward when I see your videos, you're my favourite artist, and I feel awkward because I'm like..jealous and inspired, and also concerned, cause when I think my drawings are getting good, I remember that I can only draw people, not animals or backgrounds, and, I can't do shading very well, witch I noticed is something very important, so I feel concerned and kinda bad cause my mind is asking me "but, are you really going to draw like this someday?" And I try to keep calm and be like "don't worry, just keep training and good stuff will happen to your drawings!" In LOVE seeing these videos!!! Your art style os so cute! How do you get your colors to be less saturated?? And also what sketchbook/paper is that because it seems to hold watercolors so well!
Akittyk She uses a Jasart a5 sketchbook (btw she gets this comment a lot, you can always find out by going to her sketchbook tours). But just so you know the paper in the sketchbook is pretty lightweight (110 gsm) so although she has been able to paint in it, she says it gets a weird texture to it after a few layers, and from what I can tell it seems to warp a bit.
Akittyk Oh haha, also, she mentioned in the video that she sometimes goes over the painting with a light yellow brown (very watered down, no doubt) and that would certainly make it look less saturated. Plus it helps if you water the paint down just a bit while using it.

Yeah I saw and heard her say she uses a yellowbrown but that's afterward, when you see her laying down the first layer of paints they still look pretty muted and unsaturated.
