I don’t know what the physical differences are with the derated 3.4T engine in the SR model, but I’d lean towards that simply because I’m more of the belief of not needing anything really fancy in a pickup truck.
Got the 23 SR5 RWD. Very happy with my purchase, I don’t plan on doing any offroad stuff with it, just always wanted a Tundra. I added SCS F5 wheels, 275 70 R18 cooper xlts, rb20 go rhino running boards, JB4 tuner, K&N air intake, and custom dual exhaust. That JB4 puts my truck easily at 450hp.
Great reviews! I didn't see this video before I purchased my Toyota SR5, but I am happy with it. And, as you mentioned, it fits my needs and style. My first truck and I didn't need a big hauler! Thanks!
2023 Capstone, finally came in! My 2021 new GMC Diesel died at just 1,800 miles. Whole engine was pulled and never felt the same again. Let’s hope Toyota is bad ass and lasts. - When Air ride goes I’m lifting it.
@@JoshNulled I did like it but I have a young family. I took the pro because I was #1 on the list and had first refusal. My previous vehicle was falling apart. They were also willing to then swap keys for the fully loaded 23 platinum I ordered when it arrived and it came with a MUCH nicer real leather interior, nicer features, the heads up display blah blah blah and most importantly....the towing mirrors.,,,over all because I'm originally from the UK, the naturally darker look of the platinum is right up my ally.....but if you prefer the western theme, by all means the 1794 is beautiful in it's own right. It's a far superior towing machine than the TRD PRO and that's important to me as I tow a large boat.....that air suspension also makes a difference and IS noticeable. So honestly? it comes down to what are you gonna do with it bud? I was honest with myself and know that my truck si going to be a pavement princess like 99% of truck owners who buy a truck at that price point...who the hell can afford to break a TRD PRO?!? certainly not me and I earn a significant income....so I'm happy to go with a simpler suspension system (but still 4x4 capable) and trade it for better towing and SIGNIFICANT interior upgrade.
Question, I have test road a 2024 Capstone and was super impressed with the smooth ride, especially versus the 2024 GMC Sierra Denali. Does the TRD package make the ride a lot stiffer?
This is my first time catching your review! Spectacular job!! That Capstone is sexy! I can't wrap my mind around the plastic interior at its price range! I'm almost sure that wouldn't wear well. If Toyota switches that out, I'm sold!
I went with an Mag Gray SR5 4x2 Double cab with a few minor upgrades(running boards, BSM, 20 inch Adventure Wheel/Tire pkg, 32 gal tank. front/rear parking assist w/auto braking) to tow my 22ft travel trailer. Paid 42K with my trade
Just picked up the SR5 TRD Off-road. Thing rides like butter and pulls pretty damn good. I got it with basically all the options and still cheaper then the PRO by at least $7k if you don't add anything else to the PRO. With that $7k i could throw at my choice of suspension upgrade and/or wheel choice later, or some other mods like a wench and so on. If you intend on off-roading; go SR5, save some $$$, and throw it at the upgrades you want. Also, you'll probably scratch a few things so throw some pinky protection on there to with the saved money.
Great Vid but if you gonna compare the SR5 with the PRO, atleast do fairly. Instead using the sport use a SR5 TRD OFF ROAD 😂 obviously the sport will lose since the front is dropped .5 smh lol
This makes me loathe the fake truck guys that buy one because there blue collar neighbor down the street has one. They need to pull there glamper camper or pontoon boat once every 5 years. A truck is a tool to get work done. Towing the dump or utility trailer every day to pay the bills. (Put the MAX in the SR and SR5 working guys need power and fule economy too)
Only reason why im getting a tundra is because of the 5.7 v8 they have. I hate that they discontinued it and got a twin turbo instead. Very upsetting. We know what happened with the ecoboosts lol
How about none of them. They’re butt ugly, and get horrible gas mileage for a full size pickup and still don’t have as nice interiors as the competition.
I know. Neither of them The tundra is dead on arrival. after waiting 15 years we get this hideous truck that fails to compete? RIP tundra and soon RIP Toyota
Hit us with your favorite version of the Tundra below - which one is the best package for the price?

SR5 cause it’s what I own and can afford
My choice would be the 1794 TRD Pro
Tundra is the best truck in the world. I own a 2007 Toyota Tundra Crew Max. It’s the best truck I’ve ever owned. Tundra FOREVER. 👍
You are right. I bet your Toyota has driven by thousands of dead RAMs , Fords, and Chevys .
how many miles do you currently have?

The TRD pro fits me better, because I got one.
Great video! Review is unbiased and gives very truthful observations! Thank you.
Just spend 2k on your own kings and some ko2s on the sr5 and you save yourself 25k
Sr5 v8 tundra is the only one to buy
had a 22 TRD PRO. Just traded it for a 23 Platinum Hybrid. This one I'll keep for a decade!
Why didn't you like the trd pro? I am stuck between 23 trd pro vs 23 1794

What is the towing capacity and payload on the low and mid trim levels? I really wish Toyota would make at least a 3/4 ton.
BS review! Decent f-150 cost $85k, I priced them! Ram are made by fiat, the trannys are junk and the have rust issues. I’d pick a Toyota any day!
Which is better the Platinum variant or the TRD off road 4x4?
Question, I have test road a 2024 Capstone and was super impressed with the smooth ride, especially versus the 2024 GMC Sierra Denali. Does the TRD package make the ride a lot stiffer?
Actually the design of the prev. gen Tundra has that rugged look.
Agree!!! Looked jacked

What would you have payed without trade?
@@kareemb3492 MSRP on mine was 47K. Traded 2020 Tacoma TRD Sport, owed 29K, got 35K for trade, monthly payment was $4 more than the Taco
Got the SR5 4x2 as well. Wish I would’ve got that 32gal tank!
MSRP was 47K....my dealer doesnt do markups, always MSRP
Limited is the best value trim but TRD Pro is sic
Great video
I'm going to get the TRD Limited.😛
Just got mine a couple of weeks ago. So glad I got a red one with off road package.
RAM recommendation? The break apart after 20k miles
No mention of the sr5 trd off road ? This is what most consumers are going to buy. Sorry but have to thumbs down.
Fuel tank capacity?
22 standard and 32 gallon option..
Toyotas are hard to kill! #Tundra
You forgot to mention sr5 off road trim ...

I love Truckhaven! My diesel gladiator walks over everything there
Best one, get the limited with the many options you need.
The thing is (and has been for years) that Ford, RAM and Chevy are high break down vehicles while Toyotas will last and last.
What about the 1794??
SR5 has the most towing capacity. No mention of this?
There is also the bump tailgate feature, and an outlet in the bed. And the panoramic roof!
2023 not out yet
C’mon dude??? “Just get a Ram”. Hell no!!! I wouldn’t own a Ram if they gave it to me for free.
Great Vid but if you gonna compare the SR5 with the PRO, atleast do fairly. Instead using the sport use a SR5 TRD OFF ROAD 😂 obviously the sport will lose since the front is dropped .5 smh lol

One ugly truck that grill is awful. They need to suspend the designer

the ZR2 is falling apart...
Bro spent the whole video plugging American trucks 😒

Shape is not good
The new models are bad…. Engine wise… the turbos are constantly breaking down they bring them in the shop all the time….
Toyota completely blew this..; total swing and miss.
Glad you’re disappointed
I tried to warn everyone on here that it would be a failure.
such a failure they go for over MSRP and can't keep them in stock like every other Toyota but who cares about facts?
@@02hreblue30 Right and you think people are smart?
Blew it. But time n time again their resale value is more than anything else.

Love Tundra #1
They all suck! It should come with a naturally aspirated V8 and a 7 ft bed! I'm switching over to Ford!
Good choice.
The newest Coyote has its own issues, and only way to get a bed over 7 feet is a regular cab 8 foot bed.
My 2014 5.7 SR5 gets 23 mpg on the hwy. Why would I trade for a v6 that only gets a little better or the same?
