I will salt that idea away about the rosin becoming conductive as described by the commenter below...never would have guessed that fault! Great work as usual Stefan, keep it up! 73 - Dino KLØS
as i see, this transceiver was already checked by an authorized service. See the red paper dots on the relay you cleaned in this episode, and other modules. you don't have ALC action on 28MHz because the output power (60 watts) is too low for the ALC to intervene. cleaning those switches (alc, vfo and two others) is a good idea, my ts130v had frequency instability because of the dirty vfo-fix switch. See the red paper dot on the VFO ? maybe it's the same problem here too. looking forward to see part 4. 73!!
I also need this "Bottle of Wisdom" can I get it up here in the middle of Germany? ;-) Very well done Stefan. It's fun to watch you fix it. I look forward to part 4. mny 73 de Bernd
Hi, I still don't understand which white powder was that? Why it was there? It was defective from the factory? I would like to know which bottle of wisdom was that, also. Thanks.
I very much like your logical approach to troubleshooting the problems. The videos are very informative. Thank you.
