Alex, I would be very interested in knowing the details of how you got the control shaft tilted up to slide the board assembly off. I need to rep[lace a transistor and the board has to be off and on the bench to do that. It looks like you have to free the whole front panel. Max N5ODA
Dear Max : I am so sorry I took so long to get back to you. As I recall I removed the front panel tuning knob and removed the RF Board from the chassis . This is the worst part of the whole project. The service manual should give you an idea how it is done if you check the exploded diagram. Also I forgot to mention the area under the old connector should be cleaned before installing the new connector. Best wishes to you and yours for a very happy and healthy new year. 73 Alex
