Man, the band perry and lady antebellum need to step up there game. I mean with videos like this one are just like............i have no words, little big town out does both of u!!!
It's not the country music industry that doesn't support lgbt community it's certain individuals in the industry and little big town do support it so don't make them suffer for your misinformation
To anyone who is angry about omitting certain lines.... Well, they didn't sing the entire bridge, prob due to musical choices.... so stop complaining...
YES .... so glad to see some of the country community be equally in love with a song that does very much stand up for the LGBT community! Love every single lyric of this song and it's message! thank you little big town for standing up-- just like kacey musgraves! loving the progress in country music right now
They're amazing. I'm glad to hear they do the full song in concert. Also, if they're singing "Don't be a drag/ Just be a queen" here, then they're already 3/4 of the way there! If you ever met them you'd know what nice people they are.
I love Lady GaGa....this is a fantastic tribute to her. They know the song has a great message, hence their cover of it. This is an amazing vocal group and GaGa would be proud. I love their version of Life in a Northern Town with Sugarland. These people can SING
I'm not transsexual, but I do know you're confusing "transsexual" and "transvestite." A transvestite is someone who simply dresses like the opposite sex. A transsexual is someone who was born one sex and then has surgery to switch to the other sex. Half way in between is transgender, which means that not only do you dress like the opposite sex, but you also follow the gender norms of the opposite sex, yet you're still biologically the same sex you were born with.
But they aren't saying it. Then why is there backlash? I have recieved more "backlash" for stating my view that it is wrong, than my personal friend who believes it is ok ever has. They may not be saying it because they don't believe in it. This does not show intollerance. I didn't hear any "gay bashing" lyrics. So whats the problem? Not everyone has to believe the same things as you. Nobody should be forced to accept and promote something contrary to their beliefs.
One could say the same thing about GaGa writing a country song. Black, white, gay, etc are not even mentioned in this song. That part YOU put in. Country people are usually happy with who they are and that's what the song says. Country people are individuals and are proud of it. Why would you assume that it's only about division and differences in people? And who are you to decide how the South rolls? I'm surprised you didn't mention clinging to Bibles and guns.
I like this group but this song and the lyrics are not very country therefore i think that they should just stick to their country tunes like boondocks Because we all know how the south rolls. full of bible belt people that usually dislike one's views such as being GAY or whatever. This song and lady gaga stands for freedom of being who you are and not ashamed of it neither. That means black, white, gay, straight, asian, latino and so on....
You were never a fan. You obviously were more into the Lady Gaga crap so don't even bother. If you were ever a fan of country music you would not have made the comment you did. It is obvious Little Big Town likes a lot of music and they show this by doing their own take on Lady Gaga's song. You are entitled to your opinion but that opinion tells me that you are narrow minded. Lighten up, it was all in fun and was not meant to be taken seriously.
I would first like to state that this is me not being rude, however very curious. If I affend you, I would like to go ahead and apologize because that is not my intentions. You said you are a transexual man so please educate me on this, that means you are now a "women" or still a "man" that dresses like a women? Also the same question applies for you wife. Again I am not trying to be mean, just trying to understand and educate myself on what this means. Thanks!
To everyone gripping about leaving out parts of the song, does it occur to you that maybe there are copyrights involved or simply that they put their own remix to the song (which as a gay man, not offended that they left out the words... "no matter gay, straight or bi...lesbian, transgender life...I'm on the right track baby, I was born to survive.") I think this is a positive message and I am so proud that they chose to remake this. Its intended for the same message to a different audience.
It's convenient how everytime another popular group or singer covers this song they leave out the "no matter gay, straight or bi...lesbian, transgender life...I'm on the right track baby, I was born to survive." They have no guts to just say it for fear of backlash from people. Especially since theyre a Country band. No guts. Though I'm sure she is flattered by the cover from a good band, I can't imagine Gaga would approve of that
everyone who disses, ATTENTION: If you diss on country, well, lets just say you don't want to mess with MY bluegrass and other country stylings, cause then, I will have to release the whirlwind. SO DONT DISS ON LITTLE BIG TOWN. ITS AMAZING AND BETTER THAN LADY GAGA. Thats right, I know you're jealous. Yes you. Hahaha now im laughing quietly. If you turn behind you now, I am watching you type a diss comment in. AND reading my comment. At the same time! MWAHAHAHAHA. No seriously, turn around!!!!!!
I can't get over how brilliant this is. I'd have to say it's the greatest cover of all time. It's amazing how they can take a song from one genre and switch it to the complete polar opposite...while making it sound like it really was originally a bluegrass song! The harmony blows me away!
They do not have to accept and promote homosexuality. It is not showing intollerance. Intollerance would be attacking it like you are attacking their video. It is their right, just as it is your right to choose not to like them anymore, but don't go ruining it for the rest of us. That is not your right!
Everyone keeps complaining about them cutting out the "no matter gay straight..." thing. I think they just left it out cuz it sounds kinda techno-y so it doesn't really work with the country sound. I don't think they meant anything bad by it
@formerfollower101 Wasn't to happy when I read your comment and I was dissapointed but I actually saw them in concert last night, and they included the second and third choruses, I don't have a video so I can't prove it but they really did :)
i love that i can actually understand this version!!! you don't need............ack, i can't even explain it............you don't need to do this song the way Lady Gaga does it to make it sound good, know what i mean???
oh my god. number one pet pieve. if you are going to cover a song sing the exact lyrics. not make up some shit that doesnt even match the song. this is why country "artists" shouldnt try to replica GaGas perfection of music.
I think in order for this to be a respectful cover the lines at the end of the original song need to be included. They sing the lines in some of their live versions, so I don't know what the deal is here.
Lady Gaga takes herself too seriously. Maybe now she'll lighten up. Good cover. Imitation is the highest form of flattery. They must like her music, or they wouldn't have done it. Come on get a clue people
I think they need to stick to country. Don't get me wrong I love little big town but I think they are better off at their own songs and country is there strong point. And they didn't even sing all the lyrics.
I just love this song & I love their version better than Lady Gaga's! They truely changed it enough to make it theirs! Maybe it'll show her that ya don't need all the trashy stuff for a song to be great!
The part might not have sounded good with the arrangement. Like, they might not have been able to fit it in. Obviously they're not bigots. They kept the "a different lover is not a sin" part
As if Little Big Towns music was ever true country. This is more true to country than anything Little Big Town does. Little big town is true country by todays standards if that says anything.
I LOVE LITTLE BIG TOWN! They are awseome singers, and do so many different types of songs they do, and for the record my 7 year old nephew (who LOVES Laddy Gaga) says that they do better then she does!
One day little big town is going to explode with greatness and they're going to get every bit of recognition they deserve, and I'll be happy to say that I was a fan from the start. Love you LBT.
REALLY!!! WOW that was awesome! I've never listened to Lady Gaga..But I can't imagine it being better than this...And recorded in a hallway too...Can't wait to see them live at Washington Fair.
Aw you mean to tell me you don't like country music. I'm so disappointed. Thanks for giving country a try, Maybe when your older this will be something you like.
@monsterman27 actually homosexuality has nothing to do with getting to heaven, you are only denied access to heaven if you deny the holy spirit, god makes no mistakes.
@moooosh23 If you listen to their live versions of this song more often than not they use the original words... either way--it's a great tribute to an amazing Lady Gaga song.
Just saw them in concert today!!! The guys gave me a kiss on the cheek and I gave them one back, suchh sweet guys c: The girls were rude so I didn't get there signatures :/
Heard this on coverjams, com this morning and wow they are good amazing harmonies and love the use of instuments! This is a true cover taken from pop to country :)
I hope you realize that Lady Gaga tried to do a country version of this song and did an awful job, so Little Big Town stepped in and said they would do it.
little big town made this song sound even better than the lady gaga version.... Well at least in my point of view.... Little big town is awesome anyways!
Two thoughts. There are so many great songs in the world. Who wold think to cover this piffle? 2nd- BTW should never be nearly 5 minutes long. That's just odd.
+Baby Irene There are many great sings in the world indeed, but who would think of such subject in a song? To be honest, one of my favorite piece of music in the world.

Awesome cover!!! Love this band. I like this version SO much better. I am not a Lady Gaga fan.
Love it! Great Song and Great Take on it!
Hallway impromptu jamz with Blake Shelton & Sarah Jessica Parker is what I came here for - did not disappoint!
They're amazing. I'm glad to hear they do the full song in concert. Also, if they're singing "Don't be a drag/ Just be a queen" here, then they're already 3/4 of the way there! If you ever met them you'd know what nice people they are.

I do actually admit I like this version a slight bit better than Gaga's. c:
I want that song !
It's wonderful to hear it in this bluegrass sound. Little big town is a blast !
They are deep in my heart !
Exelente chicos, BORN THIS WAY A IU TEXAS- Tamaulipas MEXICO AJUA

I wanted to send this to my gay friend to support him in his loneliness. This is one of the few songs that literally mention lgbt. How dare you!
oh my god. number one pet pieve. if you are going to cover a song sing the exact lyrics. not make up some shit that doesnt even match the song. this is why country "artists" shouldnt try to replica GaGas perfection of music.

I respect Little Big Town so much for singing Lady Gaga Born This Way. Doesn't matter if your gay, straight, bi, and trans. We are all born this way .
Im sorry but out of all the covers that I have heard of this song, I dont really care for this one. I mean none of them are better than the orginal.
little big town made this song sound even better than the lady gaga version.... Well at least in my point of view.... Little big town is awesome anyways!
@formerfollower101 Yeah that's kind of irritating that they don't sing that part... Kind of makes it seem like it's not okay to be all of that lol -_-
@formerfollower101 i just saw them preform this live tonight and they had that verse in there tho im not sure why they didnt put it in this video...
@formerfollower101 They usually shorten the songs...it's not a statement, just keeping it from being super long, especially with the instrumentals.
Laddy gaga version sucks!
I love this version better, why better then lady gaga version!
they can sing any song and make it amazing! :)
Last night on Palladia channel(Dish), they did this song on Unplugged. First time that I heard them do this song. Very nice version, I like it.
Lady Gaga fans will say her version is better, Little Big Town fans will say this is better...while I'm fan of both, I think they are both great!
They did sing that part, just not this time. Ive heard this song quite a few times on Satalite radio and that part is in it every time.
just a personal preference - both they and gaga are real, talented artists - great lyrics that sound good with both interpretations.
@monsterman27 I'm curious, but how dose someone else being gay effect you? I'm not trying to be rude, just interested in your opinion.
@theTIFFberry listen to some other covers and you wont! lol i dnt want to sound like i am bashing the band i just dont like this cover
This version is a trillion times better than Lady Gaga's version. Not that hers is bad, but y'all's blows hers off the planet!
Whoever is pissy about the omitted lines, watch the other 17,000+ related videos and they include them. Have your pie and eat it too.
What i like about this version the most.is that its such a natural busking sound thats not dressed up the way most studio songs are.
I saw this live at Summerfest in Milwaukee and ny first thought was this was going to be horrible but I actually love this song lol
I'm pretty sure i love this so much more than the Gaga version. No offense to Gaga, but you're vocals ain't got shit on these guys!
Jennifer Frey didn't mention clinging to the Bible and guns. That part YOU put in. Sorry just had to. You left it wiiiiide open.
I like the adaptation, but it is a bit disappointing they cut out the entire bridge of the song, with the most emotional lyrics.
I love Gaga and Little Big Town, but why don't they sing the "No Matter Gay Straight or Bi, Lesbian Trangender life" part??
Yikes. Some things should just be left the way they are. I like Little Big Town, but they should not have done this.
I seen them perform this in concert and we all had muddy feet and it was raining! Best concert I ever went too!!
it typed in "little big town cover" this was number one...i almost shit my pants with excitement when i saw this
I disagree they sing this song a hole lot better than laddy gaga! :)
SORRY it's true! :(
YEEEHA!! :D
Disappointed that they left out the "no matter gay straight or bi.." but this has slayed my life all the same
It'd be great if bands did things like this in random corridors
"Why were you late for class?!"
"Sing-along."
I literally just came back from their concert with Eli young band and Rascal Flatts :D.. they were great!
I love you guys but it really disappoints me regarding the cut lines. Kind of defeats the purpose of the song.
I saw them perform this live in concert & they did an amazing job! I prefer this version over Lady GaGa's!
excellent! Liked Gaga's country better than her original, and since I luv bluegrass, this is delightful.
the bride about drag queen is in there but none of the gay straight bi or racial lines. Totally BOGUS
You all do Gaga proud! :) I am going to start listening to more of your music now :) Well done, team!
Hmm, I like it but they left out the straight, gay, bi, transgender part. That's a disappointment....
I've never actually listened to this band but I frickin' love this. I need a copy of this. lol
Yes, if you read the text, you'll see I "was suprised she didn't mention it". No star for you.
saw them at the country jam in cleveland. I was belting this song. they were soo good livee.!
true measure of a band right here they have what i call perfection love ya little big town
I'm glad they left out the gay verse. "Lady" Gaga has it all wrong. She'll find out one day.
@formerfollower101 They didn't during the live version, maybe this is the shorter version.
Technically Pontoon wasn't very country either, but it was in my opinion their best song!
@apbourgeois1 um, did you listen all the way to 1:56? You got your queen line acapella...
i seen them perform it live in concert
and they just did a rly rly awsome job -speechless-
This is an awesome remix and I got to see it live and they rocked the house! Keep it Up!
That was soo cool!:) I wish I knew someone that played banjo! Haha maybe I should learn.
They just stole Gaga's song and they own it!! That version was so much better!! :)
Looks like my high school hallway, but nothing this cool ever happened there... :)
Awesome song, awesome band...not my favorite version but not the worst I've heard.
@mbdoss08 this was shot outside the forum in the Culp Center on the third floor.
@Vrnster1971 they posted about it on facebook, which I how I heard about it too
Wow, "Lady Gaga Does the Station Inn." Great job LBT...keep up the good work!
Lady gag needs crazy clothes and makeup while little big town needs a hallway
@dethkiller2013 they font need to stick to country. they make it their own.
Cracking up at this hillbilly version hahaha Has to be THE WORST cover ever!
@Fitzthum1990 Not just good enough... The way it should have been done!!!
This is the best rendition of this song I have heard to date!! WTG LBT!!
