The sensor beneath the water pump is the biggest PITA of all. Your solution by moving the water pump out of the way makes the process of reaching that sensor, a lot easier. Thank you for the tip.

Compared to JB4, do you like this better?. Great demo and instructions on installation. I used to have a jb4 on my x3 m40i. I currently have the new g02 2022 x4m.

Have you ran the same type of testing both before and after with only 91 octane fuel? I live in an area where very few gas stations have 93 and I travel enough that I would prefer not to run into that problem

Hi thks for this tutorial, does this module erase the errors like engine light if you install catless downpipes?
The 93 octane makes a big difference with how clean the graphs are. The car seems to pull timing based on the dynos on 91 which makes me skeptical on tuning the G80 on 91 unless it was a pro tune for a ECU reflash, or if you upgrade turbos/heat exchangers without ethanol or race gas

These numbers are insane! The product description states it has 3 different map tunes. Is there one for E85? Would like to see the numbers on a E85 map tune with some downpipes. 😨
Doubt it, you need to change fuel trims for e85, this can't do that

It’s got forged internals, I would imagine the engine would be able to handle big numbers. The transmission I don’t know about, but if it can handle 500hp from the factory, it’s probably strong.
The transmission itself can but needs an upgraded clutch
But can this beat a custom jb4 tune?

Hi Brian, I have a 2015 same exact spec as your 335i but it’s a 328d xdrive, any recommended mods for handling besides the front strut bar while keeping the oem suspension and not adding a cage.
Lsd, M3/M4 LCA, anti roll bar. And change the stock dampers for Bilstein B6 dampers
If you have dynamic ride control, Dinan makes a Shockware program that makes it way better on street and track. I ran that on my 2015 328i xDrive wagon with ACS springs and Dinan bump stops and it was so much better than stock setup. That said, my friend’s 328d xDrive wagon had a KW Street Comfort setup set medium soft and tastefully low and rode/handled WAY better than mine. It was the best compromise I’d ever felt. That’s my recommendation.
Oh, and ditch the run-flats for a performance tire. You can also swap the RSB for the OEM one from the m240i/m235i. I found one used.

If the car is still under warranty and something happens. Is the dealer able to tell you had this installed?
Not at this tune is actually going to damage the engine - but if you were unfortunate enough to suffer some kind of engine failure - even something that could have already occurred if the car was stock - but it happens to you while this piggyback was attached - even if you removed it wouldn’t BMW North America be able to detect that the car was running outside of specifications and void the warranty??
Very impressive. I’m betting a stock G80 xDrive would walk hellcats. Can’t even imagine what one with 700hp (if figuring a 15% drivetrain loss to get to the 610 awhp) would feel like. And it’s a piggyback tune? Wow!
I mean with just the piggyback it’s making the same as a hellcat and it’s a few hundred lbs lighter, this would push a hellcats teeth in
incorrect, they wouldn't be able to sway with them since stock g80's are running mid to high 9's but mostly low 10's seconds stock 60-130 times. Hellcats are faster stock historically. For what its worth hellcats can run 7-8 second 60-130's stock. With the piggy backs it would help greatly to even up the roll racing power against a stock hellcat. A good strong "tune" and some ethanol will then walk a stock hellcat.

Have you logged ignition timing to make sure there is no knock?
you can log knock on each cylinder and knock average, it will pull timing if it detects knock (i think -2.3 afaik)

When I go to order it for my G82 there is no option. Is this compatible with the G82 x drive coupe.

Is there anyone on here who uses this every day and still chose to use it? I see people saying the JB4 is better but I do not know anyone that still uses it. I see people sending the DME to femto more than I see these utilized.

Not as much as unlocking the DME, but yes they will be enhances a little

LOL, tunes void powertrain warranties most of the time. Dealers have to prove that your modification caused the problem, however. But, consider that if you tune it, even putting it back to stock before taking it in for service, they will know.
@@M340B58 Thanks, I suspected as much. Porsche offers tunes at their Service Dept, no hiding anything. I had two Porsches tuned by the dealership, no issues whatsoever, I wish BMW felt the same way. To BMW's defense, stock boost pressure is almost 10PSI over Porsche's stock PSI. I imagine that plays a part in it as well.

Absolutely, if you mess up somehow and blow your motor BMW will not cover the damages, this is a bit much, unless you know what your doing or you have money to blow, id absolutely stay away. Im keeping my g82 stock
I’m going to go out on a limb, and guess that the filter and exhaust, probably already added 20-30hp before the baseline tune.

i just installed JB4 on my G80. I will remove it before a service and clear codes, then drive a few hundred km
Dealers can see the jb4, even if codes are cleared and the tuner is removed. Any and all tuning can be detected
Screw that I will not drive it until I find that missing bolt
