No. It was designed as 2 concise seasons with a plot that built up over the course of them up to a finale with the right amount(/lack) of closure on theme with summer vacation with 2 seasons for 2 months and not dying the slow simpsons death is one of the many reasons it was as incredible as it was.

I must sound like such a chump right now, but I actually didn't grow up watching Gravity Falls. And even if I did, I would've probably been too young to understand it. But this year I finally took the time to watch it, and... *man* ... what a legendary show. Before my favorite show was probably Steven Universe or something but Gravity Falls has easily taken my number one spot. Thank you for this amazing experience, Alex Hirsch.

The show is about this girl named hilda and she used to live in a small place the middle of nowhere, her mom wanted to move so badly but then for some reason hilda saw there was a very small village right on her house, it was full of gnomes. They took one gnome and also figured out there's giants everywhere lurking in the dark, 2 giants reunite and then they move to a bigger town and she makes friends she goes on adventures with them now.
