The incredible skill and musicianship from everyone stands out for me.They all absolutely killed it but Bill Ward smashing those drums in perfect tandem with Geezers bass and Tony guitar solo at the end lives long in the memory
Black Sabbath had nothing to do vvith the video.. They recorded this song vvay back in 1970 (it vvas about the Vietnam vvar), but the video is from this century, made by a fan.
My dear sister, I love it when people of color hear groups like this, Kiss, and Guns - N - Roses. You put such a unique and energetic spin on it. At the same time, this Native American has been grooving to Chuck Berry, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, Manhattans, Chi lites and much more. Music is the great uniter of all people and there's a message in it for all of us if we but take the time to listen to each other. Thank you for your love ❤️
With what is happening right now, this song from forty plus years ago still resonates and is relevant, perhaps each generation doesnt really learn from the one before ?......the true sadness
Regretfully so 😢 I was a proud young soldier in the late 60s only to become sick of how little we have learned all these years later, why do we not learn.
@@mitchellaj2302thanks for your service, I always have to stay that. All I ever wanted to do in my life was join the marine corps when I got older to follow after my grandpa, he was a ww2 marine corps vet that was based in Guam. He loved talking about it. Some vets don't, but he did everyday.
Wow,you sure did "feel" the meaning of this song, tells me you are compassionate/sensitive soul, one of the first songs I learned on guitar years ago,a kick to play, what a groove, enjoy your reactions..😊
I'm 68 so this song was our protest to the war in Nam. Our parents called it devil music, they just didn't get it. Most of BS music was protesting what was happening in the world.✌️
Hi Blessing. This is my fav anti war song. It was released during the false flag Vietnam war. What I love about it most is that Black Sabbath had an image of being Satanists yet they recognised the evils of war and of the War Pigs who manufacture wars. The lyrics say that God will have the War Pigs begging Him for mercy on the Day of Judgement which I know 100% will be fulfilled. The 1970 live version in Paris is worth checking out just to watch their drummer Bill Ward pounding his drums. I prefer the lyrics from this version you just reacted to as they were not fully developed yet in the Paris version. But Ozzy Osbourne did sing with a lot of passion and headbanging. The lead guitarist lost the tips of some of his fingers in an industrial accident before they made it big and they didn't know if he'd be able to play in the band ever again. But he got specially designed prosthetic tips and continue to be a great guitarist but of course had to make some adjustments.
When this song came out there wasn't any MTV or video to accompany music, seeing this live when this premiered was one of the first concerts I attended, The singer's voice has a visceral quality. Enjoyed the time spent with you. David
Thank you for reacting to this incredible song Blessing. This is a song about war. The government sending ordinary people to war using them as pawns. Very deep song. So happy you enjoyed this great song. Your analysis of the song is right on. Looking gorgeous as always!
Amazing reaction to a song I have listened to when it first appeared in the 70s thank you for renewing my feelings about this I share your emotions blessings to you
The scarf was white when they tied it to her head. It's red from the blood after she was shot. When the scarf is flying away you can see free on the back wall. To me it symbolizes she is now free and flying away.
Continue with Black Sabbath, they have several records and the evolution of the band is noticeable in each new recording. I promise you won't be disappointed. Thank you for sharing your heart.
My brother liked Black Sabbath and I remember hearing them blasting out from a few streets away. I couldn't sleep after hearing some of the darker lyrics a bit satanic. I felt Paranoid!!. Which is great to play on the guitar. Sweet leaf was another we used to play.
I listened to your videos for about two hours after midnight 😂 Please continue to let your emotions out through old music. And I bet your own music is emotional too. I will listen to that as well!
Life long Sabbath fan here. Here's some (IMHO) some of their best work 1) Supernaut & Tomorrows Dream from Volume 4 2) Am I Going Insane & The Writ from Sabotage. There's a "hidden" track after The Writ called Blow On A Jug 3) Juniors Eyes & Hard Road from Never Say Die Give then a listen. Good Stuff.
This video is only about 10 yrs old. The song was recorded in 1970. I was 9 yrs old sitting on my uncle's shoulders at th Montrel Forum when they came here for the first time in1972. It might help to get audio with lyrics rather than fan made vids. The lyrics from the early days are more relevant today than when they were written. Enjoyed your reaction. You made me cry too. Chi Megwetch.
Ozzy is the godfather of Metal, I'm glad it affected you. The very end of the song emulates an LP needle sliding through the last couple tracks. You wouldn't know that but at the time it was revolutionary in the music world.
Not sure if mentioned but the singer is Ozzy Osborne. The same as in the television show "The Osbornes" and who's wife Sharon was a judge on one of those singing shows.
The godfathers of metal!!! 🤘 they were the first band I really started payong attention to the lyric's as they speak facts which such vivid imagery And probably the greatest anti-war song of all time
The song was supposed to be the name of the lp too! But released in 1970 in the middle of America's murder of 2-3 million southeast Asians, the record label insisted on Paranoid for the album! It is the 1st World nations that are at the root of global greed/war/genocide IMO, Blessing... Just consider where imperialism, colonialism, and extreme capitalism -- with its reliance on human and cultural genocide & environmental devastation -- has flourished best for more than half a millennium! And with no end in sight.
Great emotions displayed there thanks hats what their music can do for you.Theres so much more of theirs to discover too.Another anti war song that will have you in tears is the epic Chikd in Tume from Deep Purple Check it out.The live version knocking about here on YT from 1970 is probably the best
Hello Blessing. This is not the original video ( there was none) but it could be. I was nine years old as the song came up and it changed my taste of music forever. 🔥❤🔥
@@MrsPenPal Hi Blessing. How are you? Here in Germany spring startet. Hundred bees in the willows in my garden. Birds everywhere. I feel like newborn every year at this time. It's magic! 🌱🕊🐦🐝🐞🌞❤
You should react to the Black Sabbath song Heaven and Hell with Ronnie James Dio on vocals. You definitely need to experience Ronnie James Dio whether that be with Black Sabbath, Rainbow, or his own Dio band.
this song is a protest song against the Vietnam War. Although Black Sabbath was a British band, they were adamantly against the Vietnam war. politicians who started the war, but their sons never went to war. This is an antiwar protest song about the Vietnam war.
Love Sabbath however their songs always take me back to a time in my life i`d rather not go back to too many times, motorcylce club, heavy drinking, drugs, sat around my mates flat (he died aged just 41) blasting out Sabbath from an old stereo, getting mixed up in stuff and dodging the police, trying to hold onto a job and losing direction. But hey,,, that was the late 80s early 90s and I ain`t going back to that life.
I agree with some of the others, the live version of this song in France, is a much better representation of the band. That one will blow your mind. not this video someone made for the song. Still, I love your reaction.
where do wars evolve from? look at any 2 people arguing, warring, ask which one thinks the other owes a debt illusion, then the one that thinks the debt illusion is owed, tries to inslave others into fighting it's war/hatred with it pride; when anything is proud of their child is acting as a football player, anything, then wants to be an artists, the pride is not satisfied, the debt illusion is not paid. wrath; when the debt illusion is not paid, hatred, threats, destruction here’s something strange, hold out you're hand, try to show anyone debt illusion, what colour is it? what shape? what does it smell like? its not real! the veil! the lie! friends forgive each others debt illusion, enemies do not. forgive all debt illusion, forget all enemies, forget all wars, there is peace, love and creativity.
This video is from a short movie called "Motherland". It is about 9 minutes long and was a student film made in 2009, from Germany I believe. It had no connection the Black Sabbath's War Pigs song made in 1970. The film is here on youtube. The animation company not even Black Sabbath (well maybe Black Sabbath might eventually get their share they have 30 days to respond, but the animation company already reviewed their claims so fast and have already taken over whatever potential earnings from this video). Wonderful clip but it’s upside to think they are profiting off of a fortunate coincidence. You make a good point cos we suffer as a result of multiple parties copyright claims just from one song. I can’t even appeal or I could lose my channel so let’s just enjoy this since we didn't know and it’s a good and touching association that works with theme of the song:) I share these anyway even though I never win these copyright battles and earn nothing in these types of videos oh well it’s the cross I have to bear for having a channel that reacts to copyrighted contents.
I Love this song BUT Hate this fan based video, which has nothing to do with the tune. You short change the song by being distracted by what is going on, on the screen. Me too. My sister got the lp around '77. The songs age like fine wine, especially this one.
The sadness and tragedy of all wars, past and future. The suffering of the little people vs the greed and tyranny of the few who are ruling.
The parents of the guys in the band lived throught Hitler's blitzkrieg of London (UA-cam some video, it's insanity) so they absolutely hated war.
That opening siren signalled an incoming bombardment during World War II and still makes my mum look worried.
