  • Here’s a basic recipe everyone should know. Roasted garlic. All the beautiful garlic flavors without the sharpness.
    Ingredients
    - 3 garlic heads
    - 3 tablespoons XVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
    Discard the outer pappery layers of the garlic bulbs. Cut about 1/2 inch of the top of each bulb of garlic so the cloves are exposed. Place each in foil and drizzle the olive oil over the exposed garlic cloves. Wrap the foil around each bulb. Bake at 400F for 45 minutes or until the cloves are soft and lightly browned. Carefully remove the cloves (if hot) and enjoy!

      If you want the full healthy benefits of Garlic, you should be eating it raw. With a dash of honey if you can't stand the taste. We have a small glass jar full of honey & Garlic cloves & raw honey. We eat one each morning. When you cook Garlic it "cooks off" most of things that are the healthy boost. And if you can't stand the taste.. you can quarter a clove & just swallow them like pills lol. Oh and it's better if you have a semi empty stomach. Like eating them before bed or in the morning. I'm totally trying this recipe with spaghetti & cheese bread though!!

    Can someone explain to me the difference between this and garlic confi where it's similar but no tin foil and more oil

    • @Andyjarvis05
      @Andyjarvis05 Рік тому +3

      This is pretty much the same, confit means to cook something in its own fat which you cannot do with garlic, the most popular confit would be duck confit because you can submerge it in duck fat and cook it that way and sear it afterwards, they call it garlic confit I think just because it is submerged in oil and the term caught on. Roasted garlic and garlic confit are the same thing just one is doused and not submerged in oil… hope that helps 😁
