I've seen some good recipes but yours looks the best . The ingredients you pretend I believe we're perfect. But it is also the presentation . You did a fabulous job I'm going to try that soon as I can find some fresh mussels.

2 tablespoons olive oil 1 tablespoon butter 1/2 cup dry white wine pinch black pepper 4 cloves of garlic minced tablespoon of parsley optional pinch of pepper flakes tablespoon bread crumbs crispy Italian bread or baguette (2 pounds of live mussels) Uslast(Croatian)enjoy!! Garantee you'll be licking your fingers. no salt please!

Why u need to add chicken broth? Mussels release their own juice when steamed
It's true, but I just like the extra savory flavor. I tend to add chicken broth as a secret ingredient to a lot of dishes. Doesn't end up tasting like chicken broth...you definitely still taste the seafood, but you could omit if you like.

You should remove the beard by pulling it away on the open end. It is also a misconception that if the mussel doesn’t open to throw it way.
If the mussel doesn't open it means it's already dead and get very bad stomach cramps if you eat it.
@@richardbryant3169 No, that's a myth that everyone just keeps on repeating. Open one up and you'll see that you've been throwing away perfectly good muscles all your life.

I stay in Scotland,where we have the best mussels in the world,I think your recipe is over thought leave out the salt and tomatoes
