So they come with a sticky rubbery thing that normally let's you take them off multiple times, but if that wears off you can use a bit of regular silicon, don't use crazy glue or any type of heavy use glue in case you need to open the case again.
Couldn't say for a fact but almost all laptops have fairly similar opening procedures, just make sure to remove all the screws, if you're trying to pry open the edges and it seems harder than it should, a good rule of thumb is that you may still have an extra screw that didn't see before.
I bought it for $450 plus tax about a year a half ago, I don't remember if it was in sale or not. The actual model is listed in the description but I think it was the most basic one.
I'm not sure about that specific laptop model but for laptops in general, since they use SODIMM modules, the maximum supported RAM tends to be 32 Gb for dual-channel memory (16 Gb per stick).
As far as upgrading to a 1Tb ssd I would say that for sure you can, like I said, make sure to check the videos on youtube on how to do it properly, especially because you'll need to clone your ssd....now for the ram upgrade it would be better if you checked if your laptop has two ram slots (which I'm 99.99% sure it does) but most importantly check the speed, CAS latency and timings of the ram that's already installed.

@@Devils_World I did some research, and it looks like it's possible since some models of the Pavilion x360 come with the backlit keyboard from the factory, I'm going to link a video of a guy that does an amazing step by step procedure of how to do it. Now, you'll see that is a tedious procedure, and you have to slightly damage the case in the process, plus it will never look 100% original after that. The good thing is that the backlit keyboard is not that expensive at Amazon, there are some models with good reviews from around $25 and to be honest, is a nice upgrade. I may try to do it myself, but I'll have to do more research on how feasible it truly is. ua-cam.com/video/a_QYXYOcSBc/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MichaelCooper Remember to leave a like to this great fellow.
Man I deleted your reply by mistake I'm so sorry....so what I would do is first to check how much ram your cpu + motherboard support, then I would figure out the timings, latency and frequency of the installed ram and get the same values for the new sodims but with higher capacity
Another viewer commented a while ago that although the CPU supports 32Gb, the motherboard only supports 16Gb, you can check your laptop at crucial.com for free, thanks to @Abi Hariri for that info.
I'm wondering what is on the original Samsung RAM, is it like a heat tape? Is there no need for that on any RAM expansions? PS - Yes, I've been trying to edit my videos on actually 6GB of RAM lol. Not fun at all!
So to be honest I'm not sure, I haven't had any issues so far in terms of temps with the computer but I think that the metal lid that covers the ram sticks works sort of like a heat shield. Now if you have some heat pads or heat tape laying around I don't think it would hurt at all to use it. Well you must have been struggling with that RAM brother.
@@goSomewhereElse Honestly I felt the biggest difference on my PC when I went from an HDD to an SSD, but now I want to get a SATA M.2 as a main drive and leave the SSD for mass storage, since I saw the M.2 socket while upgrading the RAM. I'm still researching to see if that's possible or not.
@@orlandomireles6374 that sounds cool. I'm excited for you 😎 bout to crack mine open later this week and see if it has that too. My x360 is a bit older than yours though ('16 or '17?) so it might not even be there I suppose
Ok so technically no, that's why I hesitated to take it off or not, because it doesn't bother with the RAM. That been said, since you are working with electric components, you should take it off for safety reasons, so there's no electric charge on any of the components.
I thought it did, I know that for example swapping the HDD for an SSD would void the warranty that's why I waited to do it until the warranty expired. Now I found these too sources that say that, as long as you don't break something in the process, you can upgrade the RAM without voiding the warranty: www.quora.com/Will-the-warranty-of-my-laptop-be-void-if-I-upgrade-its-RAM-to-8-GB-from-4-GB-in-India#:~:text=Nope..,it%20wont%20void%20the%20warranty. h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Does-Upgrading-RAM-Void-Warranty/td-p/6467414 But still, I would be very careful, if you are really worried about voiding the warranty I would advise you to wait until it expires to upgrade the RAM, companies like HP will do and say anything to not respect warranties.

@@Dimasarif_ you don't have to buy two of the same ram sticks, however you need to make sure that the ram stick you bought is compatible with the ram stick that is already installed, by this I mean that both ram sticks should have: same speed (shown in Mhz), same CAS latency (normally an integer number like 16 or 18), same timings (a group of 4 numbers something like 35-16-16-16), and ideally same capacity. You can find this information on the internet or you can simply take the laptop apart and check the ram stick that is already installed.
That's correct, that was the first thing I did after the warranty wore off...I then added an M.2 disk and, although I didn't notice any difference with a regular SSD it's nice to have two drives plus it showed that it's another option to improve these laptops
To be honest, I'm not sure, according to the service manual it only supports up to 12 GB in "Two SODIMM memory module slots" that are non-costumer-accessible, but as you can see I was, in fact, able to access the modules and upgrade it to more than 12GB.
Hello, like I said in some other comments, with these mainstream laptops is hard to know what are the real specs by just knowing the model number, you need to use the serial number to able to get more accurate information, you can get this by using the hp support assistant. The other option is to just open the case and check it out.

So they come with a sticky rubbery thing that normally let's you take them off multiple times, but if that wears off you can use a bit of regular silicon, don't use crazy glue or any type of heavy use glue in case you need to open the case again.
@@orlandomireles6374thanks man , can we apply fevicol or smthng of that sort ?
@@Manish-nd8rg uhmm I'm not sure whats that but if it allows you to take it off at any point I would guess that it works

My x360 pavilion model number is 14 ba-0073tx.
Will it be same opening procedure for me?
Couldn't say for a fact but almost all laptops have fairly similar opening procedures, just make sure to remove all the screws, if you're trying to pry open the edges and it seems harder than it should, a good rule of thumb is that you may still have an extra screw that didn't see before.
How is the hp pavilion x360 cheap mate? Which year model is that?
I bought it for $450 plus tax about a year a half ago, I don't remember if it was in sale or not. The actual model is listed in the description but I think it was the most basic one.
how much ram memory can support the hp pavilion x360 comvertible 14m-dw1xxx
I'm not sure about that specific laptop model but for laptops in general, since they use SODIMM modules, the maximum supported RAM tends to be 32 Gb for dual-channel memory (16 Gb per stick).
Base on the processor it can run up to 32 GB of RAM. But the motherboard has a limitation to only accept 16 GB unfortunately. Check it on crucial.com
I have hp pavilion x360 dh0043tu its come with 8gb ram and 256 ssd . Can i upgrade ram upto 16 gb and ssd to 1tb? Pls reply
Can I install a backlit keyboard in this model???
Ehhhh that's a tough one, I really don't know I've never seen a conversion to backlit keyboard on a laptop, I'm going to look into it a let you know if I find anything
Thank you 😊
@@Devils_World I did some research, and it looks like it's possible since some models of the Pavilion x360 come with the backlit keyboard from the factory, I'm going to link a video of a guy that does an amazing step by step procedure of how to do it.

Can i upgrade gpu in myHP Pavilion x360 14-dw1039TU.
Unfortunately no, the graphics are embedded in the CPU.
I’m trying to get (2x8) sticks which comes to (16gb). Will it ruin my laptop or is it fine if I stick a bar of ram inside as long as it’s for laptops?
Well are you thinking about supplementing one 8Gb dim that you have already installed? Or are you looking into getting two sticks?
Man I deleted your reply by mistake I'm so sorry....so what I would do is first to check how much ram your cpu + motherboard support, then I would figure out the timings, latency and frequency of the installed ram and get the same values for the new sodims but with higher capacity
@@orlandomireles6374 alright thanks man! Super underrated
info maximum ram on this laptop? 16GB or 32GB? thanks
@@orlandomireles6374 Absolutely. Lol still using the old HDD too, bout to give this baby a whole lot of upgrades 🙃💸💸💸
My x360 is a bit older than yours though ('16 or '17?) so it might not even be there I suppose
is it really necessary to remove the battery?
Ok so technically no, that's why I hesitated to take it off or not, because it doesn't bother with the RAM. That been said, since you are working with electric components, you should take it off for safety reasons, so there's no electric charge on any of the components.
Does doing this void the laptop warranty?
I thought it did, I know that for example swapping the HDD for an SSD would void the warranty that's why I waited to do it until the warranty expired. Now I found these too sources that say that, as long as you don't break something in the process, you can upgrade the RAM without voiding the warranty:
www.quora.com/Will-the-warranty-of-my-laptop-be-void-if-I-upgrade-its-RAM-to-8-GB-from-4-GB-in-India#:~:text=Nope..,it%20wont%20void%20the%20warranty.
h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Does-Upgrading-RAM-Void-Warranty/td-p/6467414
But still, I would be very careful, if you are really worried about voiding the warranty I would advise you to wait until it expires to upgrade the RAM, companies like HP will do and say anything to not respect warranties.
does your laptop have any overheating issues ?
To be honest no, I don't tend to push it too much but haven't had any temps issues, do yours have?
Orlando Mireles thank you for your respons. I still need to install an 8gb ram because i want my laptop to upgrade to 16gb ram. But what do you mean with “i dont tend to push it too much” ?
@@Dimasarif_ by that I means that I don't tend to do tasks that require the computer to perform at it's highest for long periods of time. That and the fact that I have it on a stand that improves air flow may help to keep the temps within a good range
@@orlandomireles6374 Do I have to buy 2 of the same ram sticks (2 x 8gb ram sticks) I just bought these ADATA AD4U240038G17-R 8GB DDR4 2400MHz do you think this is a good one for the HP pavillion x360 corvertible 14-dh0xxx ?
@@Dimasarif_ you don't have to buy two of the same ram sticks, however you need to make sure that the ram stick you bought is compatible with the ram stick that is already installed, by this I mean that both ram sticks should have: same speed (shown in Mhz), same CAS latency (normally an integer number like 16 or 18), same timings (a group of 4 numbers something like 35-16-16-16), and ideally same capacity. You can find this information on the internet or you can simply take the laptop apart and check the ram stick that is already installed.
How much the ram cost ?
That RAM module was about $38 plus tax on Amazon
@@orlandomireles6374 thanks for replying
what about the rubber pads now😂?
Weakest point of these are the Disk harddrives.. I replaced mine with a SSD and its light years faster
That's correct, that was the first thing I did after the warranty wore off...I then added an M.2 disk and, although I didn't notice any difference with a regular SSD it's nice to have two drives plus it showed that it's another option to improve these laptops
Does it support 2x32gb (64gb)?
To be honest, I'm not sure, according to the service manual it only supports up to 12 GB in "Two SODIMM memory module slots" that are non-costumer-accessible, but as you can see I was, in fact, able to access the modules and upgrade it to more than 12GB.
No mate, max out at 16gig
I have pavilion x360 i3 8 gen. I ordered 4gb ddr4 2400 mhz ram today. Will it work?
And it has an extra ram slot right ?
Hello, like I said in some other comments, with these mainstream laptops is hard to know what are the real specs by just knowing the model number, you need to use the serial number to able to get more accurate information, you can get this by using the hp support assistant. The other option is to just open the case and check it out.

is it necessary to unplug the battery, before installing ram?
66 no
Hi, my laptop has 4GB of RAM, I found another RAM with the same frequency and CL but it's 8GB instead of 4, will my laptop work using those two? Or do I need to buy another stick of 4GB?
I'm sorry I just saw this comment, so yeah as long as the timings and latency are the same you should not have an issue,. I had a laptop a while back with that same configuration (8gb +4gb) straight from the factory.

You can certainly swap the existing hard drive with one with higher capacity or most probably add an extra M.2 ssd if you don't want to swap hard drives
