Here in the distant future of February 2021!!! I easily upgraded the HDD to an SSD and the RAM up to 8GB in my daughter's 2-in-1 by following this video. It is SOOOOOO much faster now! Thank you kind stranger!

I’m debating if it’s worth the trouble changing the ram from 4 to 8. Good thing your vid is thorough. I’m pretty sure I can do it if I take it one step at a time. I just never had to remove the motherboard from a laptop so kind of scared I might damage it. Thank you for posting this tho👍🏽
@@ItsBinhRepaired The SSD and the 8g memory worked fine. No issues. On crucial's site I don't think this laptop can go further than 16g. Have to get a single chip and I think that is pretty expensive for it. The user went from a real horrible mechanical drive to an ssd. The laptop is usable now. This guide was very helpful. The tiny ribbon cable for the hard drive is real flimsy and not in the slot very tight either. I had to use a piece of non conductive tape to hold it in. No other issues. Not a bad laptop.
Great video. Would never have been able to open up unit without narration and visuals. I have a model 11m-ad013dx that won't power up at all. Attached new power adapter and after several hours the unit warmed up but the plugged in light next to the power connection port doesn't light up. Unit was working until it was left plugged in, powered up, logged on and doing a Windows 10 update. Any suggestions? Most important can the hard drive data be recovered? Thank you.
Sounds like a dead motherboard. Sometimes disconnecting all power and the cmos battery and shorting the cmos battery pins can reset the bios, but if it's heating up with no charge light, it sounds like the board is dead. You can use this to get the data with another computer. amzn.to/3jOJzED
