Hey Emma great video! I’ve been an OHT in Perth for 5 years and 8 months ago I recently switched to a salary. This has been the best thing I’ve ever done, as I’m guaranteed pay for 75 hours a fortnight and I can leave early/start late which compensates for any extra hours I do. I found being on wage wasn’t working out and I missed out a lot of hours if books weren’t full even though I was a permanent staff member. I think in time I want to switch to commission as my books are not 100% full right now, so this video is good food for thought!

Hi Lisa! Sounds like you’ve got a great package at the moment! I’m glad to hear this helped - there is quite a bit to consider with commission but I hope this helps you in future ☺️ Emma

abn (like the dentist) vs non abn. If you’ve got an abn you generally won’t be getting super/pay your own taxes. Wage commission generally comes with AL, holiday pay, sick leave etc. thanks for the video
