I’ve made something similar not on the griddle I put red pepper flakes in the glaze to offset the sweetness. Will try this for next tailgate.

looks real good. I make something similar but much quicker and cleaner but probably not as good as yours. Bacon in a fry pan with pancake syrup and pepper.

@@TheGriddleGuys I sprinkle ground black pepper early in the cooking and strangely it doesn't burn, the syrup goes on after I turn the bacon. The great thing is that you can use crappy bacon, don't need Applewood smoked Smithfield thick cut. By the time the syrup does its magic you will be happy with dollar store bacon. In my case it may help that I may be somewhat high. Wishing you and your families a happy holiday season.

Try dipping you thick sliced bacon into melted chocolate after you cook it to the done for a different candied bacon.
I like to make candied bacon similar to your in my oven I add some heat to my version so it sweet, spicy smoking and savory. It is a explosion of flavor on the tastebuds.
I enjoy the verbal jousting between you guys. It like the guys I use to hang out with but has since moved away or passed away.

That looks absolutely amazing. Just because I like bourbon, and I swear I'm not a alcoholic, maybe add some Knob Creek or Maker's Mark into the glaze. Side note, my beef jerky is awesome, I'm going to try some chicken jerky this weekend, not sure how I'm going to brine it. Merry Christmas fellas.
