- I am not a beat boxer. I don't coach beat boxing. But I am a vocal person who is so interested in what people can do with their voice, tongue, lips, breath... everything involved in speaking or singing.
The creativity of JAIRO just blew me away... maybe I would see more of this level of incredible stuff if I delved into the huge beat boxing world a little more. I didn't know the original song or artist, have never heard of JAIRO, but I absolutely loved the experience they created in this performance/recording.
I would love to hear from you if you're a fan of these guys, and have some interesting facts to share!

There are videos on YT of them from the GBB competition and yep, they can do it live too. The timing on their back-and-forth is so precise, it's so neat to listen to.
Cool - I'll check it out! Thanks for the comment!
@@JohanBesterYourVocalCoachcheck Jairo eliminations Gbb23, nice reaction
the research beforehand is respected. I cant name someone that has done that. Love that
Thanks - we try 😊
見てくれてありがとう( /^ω^)/♪♪
Someone else mentioned John-T’s sub-bass lip roll but for the more sung bass sounds he’s also using “Throat Bass” with his false folds similar to certain kinds of throat singing. It’s easier to flip from throat bass to higher notes sung normally.
Yep, it's a very impressive skill! Thanks for your feedback 🤗
First time on your Chanel & I’m impressed. It’s so hard to find Reactors that have actual music expertise & can give a detailed analysis of the performance. Very quickly, if you haven’t heard of Amira Willighagen, a Dutch soprano, you’re missing out badly. I suggest you look at her performing O Mio Babbino Caro with the world renown conductor/musician Andre Rieu at age 10 ( 20 yo this month & studying music at the Pretoria of Music Sth Africa) to an audience of 15,000 people who gave her a standing ovation. To date, this UTube ideo has had in excess of 74 MILLION views.
Anyway, I just hope you take up the invitation, as you certainly will be blown away.
Cheers Graeme
Thanks for the kinds words, Graeme! I am so happy that you found my channel, and that you find it useful! I know Amira well, thank you - she lives in a town about 90 minutes from where I am based! Certainly a profound gift that she has 💥💥💥
I'd go as far as to say that top teir beatboxing requires ultimate vocal control.
Little bit of info - That sub-bass sound isn’t vocal at all! It’s called a sub-bass liproll, and it’s made purely by dragging air inwards through tight lips, which vibrates them just in the right way to cause these super low bass frequencies!
Wow... okay. Thanks for sharing this info!
Nice video, saludos desde Argentina.
Haha ! Welcome to the beatbox world ! More you'll discover more you'll love it ! Thanks for your great analysis
great video ! thailand, cambodia and laos where also in this video
There is so many more incredible beatbox music videos, hope you'll enjoy those you discover !
Please react to all of their songs on their channel! Welcome to the beatbox community. There is no way out now ;)
i think begin by letting go is more about the things yu get when yu meditate and achieve that state of conciousness
I'm not sure if you noticed the fading echo sound they made at 4:20 in your video, or 0:43 in their video. You might have been distracted by the amazing bass. What blew my mind about the fading echo sound is that this isn't added in postproduction! I think doing that requires a lot of vocal control, but I'm no expert. Let me know what you think! Great reaction video by the way!
more beatbox please
4:23 i think everyone got the same reaction listening to that bass haha
You should also listen to "Uptown Funk," covered by Newschooler. It's a great beatbox crew.
you should check out Taras Stanin - I Don't Wanna Know. it's incredible.
Please react to more beatbox videos, they consist of vocals but also vocal percussions. Check out Bigman Beatbox for very strange/out of this world vocal techniques or River Beatbox for more melodic and technical beatboxing. Love it man keep it up!
I didn’t listen properly when you said you were from Sth Africa, so you definitely should know the name Amira Willighagen. Although she is a Dutch soprano, she has lived in Sth Africa for some years & has performed in many auditoriums. Anyway, it’s worth you checking her out. She speaks Dutch, English & Africana fluently but has sung in over 8 languages in some 22 countries.
Cheers again, Graeme

JAIRO, of course, does Beatboxing cool. Well, if you look on UA-cam for a guy named Taras Stanin and then How they do Beatboxing in Russia. There is one guy who is also cool, also a beatboxer improver, there is already a duet.
this boet takes us to 5:43 before even vocally coachingly reactingly, my guy, do you even. That bass was poes lekke talk to me about the position of his tongue in his throat jirre I can't
Brooooo you paused on the drop 😳 thats suicide for reaction videos just for the future reference man otherwise nice reaction
The Introduction upto 2:53 was so irritating😑
the low A2 bass isn't being produced by his vocal chords. its a technique called inward bass and sounds by restricting air flow at the lips in a very special way that cause the lips to vibrate. its very difficult to pull off because of the shape of the mouth and lips required to produce a sound that isn't total shit. it takes practice to perfect.
You called it inward bass but described it like a liproll, they are very different things, inward bass is similar to subharmonic singing on inhale as opposed to exhale. Where as liproll is how you described.
@@nikwaggoner2480 yeah sorry, lip roll is correct
John T is an incredible bass. What did you think of the singer’s voice and technique? Thanks for reacting to Jairo’s musical beatboxing. Please do more.
The singer did some super skilful with his voice, for sure!
@@JohanBesterYourVocalCoachthe singer’s name is Yamori
The low pitch was done by using a throat singing technique called kargyraa/throat bass and VERY low pitch was actually done with the lips! By using a technique called an inward liproll bass beatboxers can reach even sub bass level hz!
They can definitely do it live! There are several categories of live performances at the various competitions. The main three are solo, tag team, and loop station. Each category has its high tier performers. If you are looking for an advanced voice-specific technique I'd recommend anything involving Gene Shinozaki.
MORE BEATBOX REACTIONS!
You should check out their GBB2023 Elimination entry - One Last Kiss-Get Lucky-Fuego/Beatbox Remix
Please check Taras Stanin's latest "Creepin" beatbox cover or "Same" (his original song). These are perfect mix of vocal and beatbox imo
Thanks so much for the suggestion - I will definitely check it out!
The low A bass was liproll not voice
