Just scored these from someone who put them by the dumpster at my apartment. Was skeptical at first but they are in perfect like new condition. They are the 50 lbs version with no upgrades but I used them once and they are an incredible product. So lucky to have them and I would like to get the stand. Thanks for making the review great to see how they work and look on a stand.
This original powerblock design is great. Yeah, they have other lines now but they really aren’t any better than the original design. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.
hey guys i got me these a month ago with all tge kits . beginner . im starting to be a lot happierr was going to end my life im still overweight but im doing better thab i was . hope u guys are doing well mentally
These are definitely not made in the USA. There is a made in China sticker right inside the handle and on the box. Dick’s also sells them in their website and it also states they are made in China.
correct, i think he noticed after filming his video, his description mentions made in china. usa elite can only be found on official website while china are on other websites such as amazon.
Thank you for the video. I'm not sure where you got these from but maybe you could answer a question I have: Can I just buy the Elite EXP 5-90 Set without having to buy all 3? Or do I need to buy the 5-50 first and work my way up? Just looking for clarity on this.
I ordered direct from PowerBlock. Unfortunately no place sells a complete set as one package. You need to buy the 50 lbs set, then add the 70lbs and 90 lbs add ons. Good news is you can put them all on one order so they will all arrive together. The will ship as one order but in 6 separate boxes If you buy the entire 90 lbs set if I remember correctly. One box for each set/handle. It was either 4 or 6 boxes total for the set I bought. There are other companies that do sell them as a bundled set online. This place does and they include a stand as well. www.workouthealthy.com/powerblock-elite90-max
Comparison shop! You do need to buy the stages separately. Powerblock charges Shipping, the site he gave you does not! I also got a discount for being a first time buyer.
Do your plates shift slightly. Especially when doing curls? I just got these and I like them but the plates have a little bit of movement that’s kind of annoying.
They have a power block elite pro or something that is like $800 that is built with tighter tolerances and supposedly better in this regard. But these are still great I notice a slight movement but doesn’t bother me at all.
Yes that’s normal. They clanging noise is more noticeable on models without urethane plates, eg those with power coated metal plates. It never bothered me while using it
Step 1, cut off the bungees. Cleans it up and no, you won’t lose the locking pieces. And Step 2, place the flat side of the cylinder weights onto the stand: they seat better and don’t lean in different directions.
@@WheelieMan there is an elite series 2020 that is made in China and is cheaper than the USA series. Mine are a few years old. New ones have the quick release handle on the side. Mine is at the top in the middle.
@@adamrico3701 last model was 2020 elite made in China. The USA Elite and Elite 2020 are almost exactly the same, but the expansion kits are not interchangeable. The Elite USA costs about $50 more and it has the adder weight handle in the center of the handle. The Elite EXP 2020 has a quick release on the side for the weights. I actually have a set of both of these!
@@jeffreytamm2366 thanks again. My set is different then what is currently listed on the Powerblock site. I have the USA Elite EXP model. Link here: www.roguefitness.com/powerblock-series-elite-exp-dumbbells

Thank you for the watching. Happy new year 🎆!
Someone must have broken up with their boyfriend
Just picked up a brand new set on sale for $300. Can’t believe I got such a good deal, very excited to use them

Stay positive and stay strong. Keep at it. Keep lifting and weight will come off. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. ❤️
Keep fighting the good fight
Solid review, everything you need to know nothing you don't. 👊
Thank you for the kind words. 👊 and thank you for watching

How have they been holding up
Still good as new. I would 10/10 recommend.
Thanks, got them today! Little bit of a gap between plates in expansions is normal right?
Yes. The locking happens with the magnetic pin, so no harm if there is a gap as long as locking pin can still function properly.
Is that the powerblock stand in the video or a different band?
It’s the folding powerblock stand in the video.

These don't appear to be the USA Elite series. Mine has an American flag on the handle and made in USA printed on it!
@@WheelieMan yes if you zoom in it is in the top left corner there is an American flag!

Also if you take notice the adder weight release bar on the USA elite is in the middle of the handle. The elite exp is on the side.
