Bought a set from amazon of exps that i returned due to similar damage. Managed to get the elites on the site recently and PRAYING I don't go through it again but good to know customer service was good.
NICE VID sir! Groovy tunes! I just got those DBs btw and love them but had I known how little space there is to hold them, I would have gone with the more spacious handle ones - the sport or whatever
I just got mine today. Ordered with EXP up to 90 and one set of my EXP are bent so badly that I can’t even select the 60 pound weight because the 70 is stuck to it. I called Powerblock but they told me to email them. Hopefully, they will just send out another EXP set ASAP. Pretty bummed they weren’t as helpful on the call I had with them.
That sucks man :/ my recommendation would be to send them an email with pictures attached showing how bent they are then call them back and reference the email
@@videogazer801 it has been a few years since this issue so I can't remember. If they did, they provided a free return label. FWIW, since I received the replacements, I've had zero issues in 3 years.
I paid 299 before taxes on the power block website. This comes with two dumbbells, right? Really nervous that I only bought one! The price seems too good lol
I just got mine today and one was bent like yours. I called PowerBlock direct and emailed them the pictures, and so far no response yet, other than an email stating a member of their customer service team will respond in 2-3 business days. So, did they send you an entirely new replacement PowerBlock or what exactly did they do?
I actually sold my powerblock pros because of the same problem you had. It made them very clunky and weird, and now I feel very silly for never calling customer support. Due to obvious reasons, I am once again in the market for adjustable dumbbells and the only thing that's available (on and off) are the elites. Thinking about getting back in. Thanks for the review. Just one last question: Do you find the new ones you received clunky?
I just bought a pair of the Powerblock Classic 50 dumbbells used for $180. The blocky shape is weird, but I would have to pay double that amount to get something that I would like just a little more -- not worth it.
Honestly the blocky shape really grew on me, the only drawback is that it isn't really possible to do tricep overhead extensions but I agree that its worth it.
Keep an eye out the next two weeks, they said they are planning on doing a big restock. If you're serious about getting a pair go on reddit/homegym and check the stock and shipping thread. If I see them come back in stock I'll shoot you a message through UA-cam.
I noticed it was bent right away that would bug the hell out of me. I just ordered one from Amazon. Ship and sold by amazon I wonder if I get mines and it’s bent like that would power lock replace or do I contact Amazon. Have the bow flex select tech now and it never given me a problem but wanted to give these a try!
@@mikezeller Thanks for the reply. From what i've read CS can be hit and miss especially depending on where you're located. If you are located within the US, you'll probably get it resolved painlessly than someone outside.
@@somdeud They are out of stock there as well. It might be a thing where they are available for a very short time then out again because everytime I check they are out (including today).
@Aayush G ... if you live in a hot, humid, maybe even warm climate, there were lawsuits on the urethane powerblocks. Pro series are made with a urethane coating.
I know Carl the owner of Power block well...he used to be my commercial warehouse landlord 😎👍👍
That probably one of the coolest things ever free powerblocks lol
Cool story bro.

Hey man just wondering if they ever sent you a new one?
@@kellerv.602 yup. I had to call a second time but honestly their customer service was great after that initial call.

Did they make you send back the damaged PowerBlock too?

If you bought them from powerblock that is definitely for two, I could see some shady resellers try to pull that but $299 is the msrp for a set

Not at all, the replacement one I received works perfectly, very smooth. I got the 50-70 lb extension too and they work great!
@@mikezeller Thank you so much.
I can’t get used to the square shape of these. Went with the Cores and very happy
Yeah it definitely takes some getting used to, I like them a lot now though
Solid review. Subbed!
How much was shipping? I'm contemplating on either buying a pair of these from a local reseller or waiting for a restock.
Totally depends on where you live. They ship from Minnesota so it was only $24 to ship to Wisconsin
Around 80 bucks to Ohio
$114 to Florida

The price went up about $10 per month since this review. They are now $419. Talk about greed. The review is great though.
They are not immune from the inflation and supply issues that are affecting everything.
Liked your video. How long did the shipping take?
I’ve been wanting to buy these but they always say sold out on the site 😭

Did you manage to get a replacement for the bent ones in the end?
Sure did! They sent a full replacement right away, really good customer service experience overall

what is the max weight that your dumbells go to?
The base model goes to 50 lbs but they offer additional extensions that go to 90 lbs.
Good review. I really want a set but they are either sold out or are going for double retail. Sucks because I actually have the coin to get them.
