- Expat Stories: This interview project is an effort to tell expatriate stories and explain why more and more Americans are making the decision to live overseas despite the potential hardships of cultural adjustment, distance from families and removal from their home country.
WELCOME TO MEXICO JERRY.😃
He is so right about taking time to get to know the culture
Thanks for the interview. Been to Chapala and ajiji several times and will probably move there in the future. My wife of 17 years is from Guadalajara so I think I may have an edge.
What a wonderfully well grounded man.
Good advice. Muchas gracias
Very good,thank you.
Good men...Thanks for sharing
Leave it all behind and do it!
Wonderful series! I enjoyed all of them! I’ll be visiting the first week in June and I’m going to look at some real estate! 👏😍❣️
I like it what you say, about
my Beautiful México.
thanks a lot and now it"s your too
cause ,you are living in
(my good friend )
(mi buen amigo )
Lived in Reynosa now over two years. Not perfect but I love it. 🇺🇸💃🏾
Axixic is truly beautiful. Cobblestone streets help keep a nice weather, allows the rain to go right back.
Beautiful town ajijic.
That’s amazing
Acapulco, but will check it out.
Ajijic is beautiful
He's NOT overseas ! Just south of United States. Blessed !
I like this guy, I think a lot like him. I don't think it would be hard at all for me to adjust, just a few things like utilities, banking and everything you have to learn moving anywhere in another state in the USA.
Love your video
Tha m you very nice place
Wow so Beautiful 😍 Mexico 🇲🇽
Very honest: Take time to adjust and leave it all behind.
To leave it all behind especially being American , can it happen lol. We are bred to think, act, feel, and live a particular way. I pray that in a few years God will bless my wife and i and let us live the next hundred years in Mexico . Ive spoken to people who live in Mexico that lived in the USA at one time , like the nice gentleman said it's all about relaxing no more chasing your tail around in Circles. Planning a trip asap , my passport should be in my hands in the middle of June . Good luck to you all .
Vida Mia
Is there good internet connection? WiFi? I am thinking on moving to Ajijic but I have to take my job with me and my job requires fast reliable internet access
Lucky 🍀
@damiansdroid - She apparently still has to WORK..
I was raised in Stillwater, not to far from Tulsa.
Hold, mi amigo, if it's better than Chiang Mai, I'm in! I've read that bass fishing is great in Mexico. I wonder how that lake is.
Okay great video but the interviewer keeps calling it “overseas”... Mexico is a drive away without leaving the road so.... if there isn’t a sea to travel to get there it’s not “overseas”. Just one of those things that I noticed. 🤔🤔😂😉
Damn would love to leave washington state and move there omg lol
That $500 would be what, today, June 2019?
Overseas? México is overseas?! I'd always thought Mexico was our neighbor directly to the south of US ;-(
it's an expression....get over yourself
So what if you marry a Mexican. Can you then purchase property in the restricted zones? Would you avoid the yearly residence permits?
