- I do a side by side comparison of the red gemini and the red dragon. As a red shooter I always wondered what the difference was and how much better the gemini is to the dragon. Watch and see for yourself, you may be surprised what you find and hear my thoughts on either.
thanks for these comparisons, as a non-RED user being confused with all these RED cameras, wanted to step in it, this kinda gives me an idea of the RED system!! thanks!!
more to come thanks for checking out the video !
Art L.A. Which is best raven or epic?
@@lindseyrecanati8080 I'm going to do a video soon breaking them all down, as iv worked with all of them, the raven is at the bottom of the barrel I would recommend the Komodo over the raven and its cheaper, there is many different kinds of epic cameras you would have to be more specific.
Art L.A. Red epic MX
WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE VIDEO
@@lindseyrecanati8080 well there 2 different body’s if your getting it it the red eco system I would suggest getting a newer body the epic Mx is from the old dsmc1 body and raven is dsmc2 body I would go for the scarlet-w that’s a solid camera and is around the same price range as the raven and is a much better camera then both the Mx and the raven.
Great comparison
Which red camera is good in low light film not to expensive to buy for Cheap use and easy to edit with has amazing, video quality and sound with a super 35 sensor ?
Hi, Art L.A. Thanks for the info, i’m trying to decide between Scarlet-W and the komodo. I usually do small commercials and a lot of music videos. May be it’s just the youtube compression but what i’ve seen from komodo it can´t beat Scarlet-W. High quality is a priority for me and you have used both of them can you give-me some advice please?!
That ones tricky because they are both very different cameras.
Red scarlet pros:
Cheap to buy second hand
Great image
Great low light
Many compression options
Looks more legit on set when built
Modular design
Multiple frame rate options
Good low light
Cons:
Old camera
Not requested by brain often
Heavy
Lots of set up time
Drains batteries
Komodo pros:
Cheap to buy but hard to get a hold of
Popular camera lots of buzz 🐝
Super light easy to run and gun
Easy set up
Great fir gimbal work
Great for drones
Cons:
Hard to find
Has its bugs
App does not work well
Doesn’t have many frame rate options
Poor slo mo performance
You just gotta ask yourself do you want a camera that does slo mo and has many frame rate options. If so the scarlet is for you. Or do you want the new hot camera that is super light and easy to travel with but Frame rate options isn’t a big deal. I hope this helped I’m going to make a Komodo vs Gemini video soon
Overall you have to ask yourself what
@@ArtLA Thank you very much for answering me
For sure hope it helped !
I'm new to red cameras, whats their native iso especially for the Gemini that i'd be shooting with soon.
Native dual iso is 800 and 3200 for low light
Im actually looking at the scarlet w or the gemini.. but how is the menu etc? is the scarlet w laggy like the raven? and how does it compare with the gemini. I remember using the raven and I was annoyed by how slow scrolling through footage was etc
So all the reds are on the slow side with the menus but it also depends on the Monitor your using if your using an old dsmc1 monitor it is super slow but if your using the big red 7in dsmc2 it’s a lot smoother the small dsmc2 one is also laggy the scarlet-w seemed to scroll the same as the Gemini but only with the bigger 7inch
@@ArtLA ohhh!! so its based on the monitor? n damn that 7inch is pretty expensive 😢
whats the intro song?
shoot i don't know i just stumbled on it looking for non licensed tracks
How much money you got gemini for ???? Why you not tell
I actually got the Gemini with 5 hours on it and monitor and everything for 17k which was a value of 35k at the time
@@nightmarechronicles8 thank you for your reply 💓
@@ozzozz3529 of course thank you for watching my video 🙏
