I put one of these in my out building storage/work shop on 10/26/2023. It is so loud you have to leave the area when it cuts in if you are not wearing ear protection. Even with muffs it is very loud. Not too happy about that.I have an old Craftsman piston wet sump oil fed type built in 1977 in my garage that is much quieter than this Fortress. I only use the Fortress for blow gun and airing tires. At least I can set it outside 15/20 ft. away. Oh what a relief on the ears.If I was using it daily or even weekly I would have returned it because of the noise level. You did a very good presentation and Thank You. E.L.
Help, please. Mine runs constantly and neither gauges never goes above 30psi. Checked for leaks. When I disconnected the hose from the quick connect air kept pouring out of the quick connect. Makes me think the quick connect has gone bad. Thoughts? Thanks in advance. Bill
The only time it will lose pressure when sitting is if I have something attached that slowly leaks air - some air tools do that. Thank you for watching 🇺🇸🤘
First of all, you should relieve the tank pressure after each use and to not keep pressure I'm the tank and also to drain water from lying the tank. Always
It's fine .Bought mine March of 2022 and it still works great. Have used 2 trim guns on it and did fine. I don't use it every day, but it has done better than I thought it would..
@@S_C_A_R_F_A_C_E what kind of scfm requirement does your spray gun have? If it's more than 3 scfm at 90psi then you'll have to wait for it to pump back up periodically.
I did exactly that! My 21 was great, but this provides a good punch, and I rarely use “air hungry” tools since gathering lots of battery powered stuff. It’s a good machine. Thank you for watching 🇺🇸🤘
Thanks for the good review. My complaint about this is the warranty is only 90 days and it's currently $160! The price is comparable to the competition, but they typ. have a 1 year warranty. HF charges another $40 for a 1 year warranty, but that's admittedly better than a standard warranty where you might be expected to ship the faulty unit somewhere. Still, it's keeping me from buying this....
Are you draining the tank after each use? I’d make sure it’s dry and empty first. Then you may consider swapping gauges to see if you get different readings. They don’t usually go bad for a long time - but weirder things have happened .
@@jimmysgarage9068 yes, I do see that the performance is enticing, I can’t replace my craftsman one with something as loud. Must try California Air, I’m leaning. Apologies for the snarky comment. Subscribed.

the 10 gallon ultra quiet one actually fills to cutoff in 180 seconds, which seems to be higher performance than the spec for this one taking nearly the same amount of time, 168 seconds for the smaller tank.

Great review, I was debating about buying one. After your demo I am now convinced about getting one.
It’s a good machine - really. I use it all the time. Great power, quick fill times and easy to move around. Best 6-gallon I’ve used so far.
I like it but it's so loud 😫

Although a great performer - it’s certainly noisy. Thank you for watching and commenting 🇺🇸🤘
It's pretty good, I just use it for around the house stuff, pumping tires, staining.

Will it be able to blow air through 3/16” brake lines to clean them about 25ft in length?
I don’t see why not.
You think this is good enough for blowing car interior? I mean for under the seats only (4 seats commonly)
Yeah it should do just fine. That machine builds pressure pretty quickly. Thank you for watching 🇺🇸🤘
Work for blowing out sprinklers?
I’ve never blown a sprinkler system out. This is a strong machine though.
Ok I'll give it a shot, thanks for the reply! Love your videos.
