That evo has some hella straight line and corner handling!! :)
Great video, and a really cool build.
It was also nice to see the data.
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing all this awesome info!!!!
Your welcome!
New mic sounds great!
love the data i gotta up my aero too
Cool stuff!
I’ll be doing some aero for my neon. And this video so informative. Great job.
If you need help, let me know. Already did A LOT of research on what works..
Good info. Subscribed
Thanks peachey!
I would 100% recommend wrapping the exhaust
Not only it will help response( proven)
it will help having lower heat in the engine bay
Sweet. Subbed. When's the next one?
Sorry, your subscription has expired and been revoked. Spend more time buying cabinet handles and vanites....
Nice video!
1.where are the tie rods attached to?
2. Would be beneficial to close the 2x bumper openings where the rods po out?maybe keeping small ducts for fresh air to oil radiator and gearbox
Rods are attached to the small tabs off of the side of the bumper support brackets.
Yes I usually tape up the side pods in the front bumper as I don't have an oil cooler.
@Krebsbach Racing thanks.. dont you have issue without oil cooler? Don't you get enough air flowing to the radiator as you mask the opening above the intercooler? Thanks again
Would be great if you could talk about oiling solution with that aerosetup.
I'll get to that. Thanks!
So what made you decide to cut the bumper instead of running a rear diffuser? Weight savings?
Unless you are able to run a flat floor a diffuser is basically useless and will most likely decrease performance. The air is too dirty coming up to the diffuser for it to work properly.
What are those side skirts extensions you got for 3$ ?
Gutter apron. Roof edging. Haha
Hi, sorry for the late comment. Was wondering if the aero helps when autocrossing as well?
Not as much as higher speed stuff obviously. The aero will do something, but it won't be significant.
Sure the aero helps, but the 30 hp and especially the 200 pounds less weight help a lot versus your brother.
I also did a no aero vs just simple splitter and wing on my evo years ago. No other changes. About 2.5 seconds faster a lap with aero.
Aero makes a huge difference
Not bad. Gotta use less tape though
Pfft. You have no idea. I tape everything when it's actually on track. Headlight gaps, fog lights, and both side pods on the bumper. Haha
Well my aero must not be half bad...I go through T2 at BIR around 125
GPS confirmed?

Dude, not trying to talk shit, or dump on you but, 1. how do you think that your car is making close to the same amount of downforce as the viper? 2. Does your bud with the ACR have as much seat time, track time as you? Don't get me wrong, sounds like you did your homework on your car but, seems like you need a bit more Aero work time. you did not go into how you set up your wing. HIGHT, WIDTH, ANGLE OF ATTACK, TYPE OF SANCTIONS, END PLATE DESIGN, ETC.. Also, the rear bumper idea is an alright idea but, I bet your wing will work MUCH better if you install a diffuser back there. Keep up the good work.
1. Acceleration and braking are almost identical, and I'm on smaller tires, so downforce must be close or maybe I have even more. 2. Viper guy is an amexcellent driver with much more experience than I. 3. The wing is the most predictable aero device as there are actual df numbers on it. Should be around 500lbs of downforce at 140mph. A diffuser is almost useless unless it has a flat floor leading up to it.
