@AyrshireFlyGuy thanks. if you watch my spring video of the estuary and one's from previous years you will see Max, Chris, John and myself from Cardross, Ardmore, into the Garelochhead plus Rosneath, Kilcreggan area.
@@CF_Fishing I'll have a look buddy. Ardmore was the first place I fished, had 2 in 8 minutes, 4 and 2.5lb, last february. This is easy thought I! aye, right ye are. I've fished further round with Michael (Angling Front), see some bloody big fish round there. I used a 6wt last season, but I'm building a 7wy for next season, get a wee bit more punch in the wind. Greg.
@CuriouscC88 mostly blue silver red blacks. Size depends on what we think they are feeding on. If taking sprats or bigger sandeels then a large baitfish pattern. If they are taking shrimps. Then small medicines, teal blue, blue mirage, Gledswood blue, squirrel blue and silver is my favourite on the dropper.
@CF_Fishing alright thanks, yea blue and silver seems to be the go to, I started fly fishing over there last season had a little success but good fly fishing conditions are hard to come by haha will be getting more into it next season, cheers 🎣
@JohnFraser-y9i yes llaia big ticket £210 or estuary leven tickets. Possible day tickets I imagine. www.lochlomondangling.com/membership/ It's in Scots law I'd imagine to target migratory fish in proximity to river systems. Its something I fully agree with or you would soon have none left if the chappers had their way.
Don’t be so selfish, angling is for everyone not just you weegies, if we’re going to join the association and buy an annual ticket then we’re entitled to join in the fun. Tight lines to all concerned.🎣🎣🎣🎣
@@jimflynn466 Jim , I do not give two fucks what you think about weegies or anyone else for that matter , this fishery is unsustainable for the amount of people fishing .
To the person who put this video up in the first place , and to others who do the same . Why do you do it ? Do you think you are going to become the next Joe Rogan, by posting videos of areas people have fished for thirty years and more ?
Superb footage, looks a great spot and some cracking seatrout well done Colin 🎣🎣
Excellent watch Colin! Looking forward to the new season 🤘🏻🎣
Fantastic. That was my first season on the estuary, bloody love it. I tend to fish further along but need to give that area a go.

Yes aye a slightly more powerful line and rod required for windy days.@AyrshireFlyGuy
@@AyrshireFlyGuyyes I've met Michael and follow his channel. He's a good angler and his channel is doing very well.
@@CF_Fishing He's a good guy, super keen and a cracking laugh.
What size and weight of rod are you using?.......excellent fishing 🎣👏
@Gfour3flyfshing thanks. If you see a comment below if replied to another person. 😊
Good as always 😊😊
Excellent Colin!
what fly patterns were you using?

@CuriouscC88 yes timing weather wise and state of the tide is very key.
Brilliant Colin, some crackers of fish there from the estuary 👍🎣
whats your rod and line set up?
@@billytheghillie 10ft daiwa silver creek #8 Rod.
Flyline WF FLOATING #8 .
Airflo Blue Cold Saltwater Striper.
Leader
5ft CLEAR AIRFLO INTERMEDIATE TROUT POLYLEADER.
8lb or 10lb Maximo Mono.
@@CF_Fishing Thank you, you seem to be getting very long casts with it.👍 great video.
@billytheghillie cheers. Powerful line the cold saltwater. It cuts through the winds far more easily than a normal wf 7 #8 trout line.
@@CF_Fishing Im just trying to justify getting one, as all my sea trout fishing is on rivers 😊
Do you need a permit to fish there?

Depends what your fishing for 😂if it’s migratory fish yes if not no
@@CF_Fishing just imagine all the chappers watching this , social media coverage and location naming is proving to be a useful resource.
When will you guys learn, that the more you put videos up the busier and busier its going to get down that area
