Vaughns Gap Road Railroad Crossing, Nashville, TN

This was the second crossing I got on May 12 along with the only train I saw that day. Once I got Clifton Pike Railroad Crossing timing out, I headed over to Vaughns Gap Road railroad crossing and wait for the westbound train to come, which the lash-up made my day; 5 Locomotives in the lashup, with 3 being UP and 2 being NS! Not too often I find these lashups, but this lashup sure made my day!
Also, not seen, but the left-handed signal has a backwards crossbuck, which I find it rather interesting because, sometime around 2013-2016, the normal crossbuck was replaced with a backwards crossbuck!

Great catch and crossing!! The WCH Mechanical Bell here sounds and rings like the last one that was replaced at Meadowview Rd here in Sacramento that had problems.

Thanks! Aside from the Safetran gate mechanism that replaced the original WCH gate mech sometime around and then, the right hand signal does look like it was installed in the 1980s.

freebrickproductions I think CSX did some maintenance at this crossing and they were able to fix the bell so it doesn't sound as rough anymore! It actually sounds pretty good now!
