🌵 Needle Engine - Getting Started. Unity → three.js
Вставка
- Опубліковано 14 тра 2024
- Needle Engine is a web-based runtime for 3D apps, based on three.js. It`s flexible, extensible, and has incredible iteration speeds. Work right from the Unity Editor - keep your assets and tools. It also comes with multiplayer networking out of the box and has super easy deployment options to Glitch, Itch.io and others.

Thanks ❤
I really admire the hot reloading straight from unity to the browser. First in class type of tool. Will start experimenting asap.
Let us know how it goes - we have a discord and forum if you need help forum.needle.tools / discord.needle.tools
Great video. And very polished integration with Unity. Also, the loading inside the webbrowser is fast! Congrats

Thank you!!!
You are welcome ❤️
This is incredible. Is it free for personal portfolios? I'm not that knowledgeable in JS but I do know a lot of Unity, so this is honestly a life-saver since most ThreeJS tutorials I've found are super confusing. 😅
Yes - please see needle.tools/purchase for when you can use it for free
This is amazing :)
This is Future
This is Web 3.0

I recomnd you two to buy the Producer Edition (And if you have got money, buy the Full Bundle)
Do you guys have a tutorial for a third person multiplayer game? Or any help pointing to that direction would be great ! Thanks
Hello, you can use our third person controller sample as a starting point: engine.needle.tools/samples/?open=1#third-person-controller
@@needle-tools Great Thanks. :)
How do I use an external positional data stream (i.e., player1: x,y,z) [JSON/MQTT] and attach this to a specific model or group of models within the scene?
Hi, there are multiple ways. The easiest would be by creating a Needle Engine component and add it to the object in the editor.
Feel free to ask in our discord if you need a more detailed reply
Does it work with unity alone?
What about Blender?
Hello, we have a prototype for blender and will make that available too :) no eta right now but maybe end of the year / early next year
is the pricing system like unity and unreal , or is it paid?
It will be similar to those with free and commercial licensing - we are currently working on the concrete terms.
It is awesome! But please add unreal engine qwq
i want build it with other server how to
Hello, there are deploy to FTP and deploy to itch.io components if you rather use those. Additionally you can host the final files using basically any other provider too
Does it support Blender?
Yep, there's an Alpha version for exporting right from Blender. You can join our discord at discord.needle.tools to get access to the alpha
You guys need scripting tutorials. My eyes are hurting trying to figure this out, your documentation is like reading a legal contract, you need a jump around way to much.
