I would never bet against you succeeding. And I really hope you can recapture old subscribers--like, it is crazy how many people say that used to watch you, love your content, and recently rediscovered you--and find new subs too.
I live 15 mins from the Hell’s Kitchen and I’m glad you mentioned the part about staring at screens vs exploring the city! I know where I’m spending my weekends now 🖤❗️
every time a new yorker acts like a car isn't a bill they have to pay in nyc im like um pretty sure that monthly unlimited metro card for the subway is comparable to the cost of paying for gas and car insurance in another city. you might be saving a little money on transportation but let's not act like that bill is totally eliminated. not to mention the fact that new yorkers go out at night a lot more times a month than people in other cities and a lot of people don't take the subway at night meaning those uber rides home from the bar, club, or wherever add up
This actually sounds like my ideal situation cause I never ever cook so I’d rather spend the money on eating out rather than rent for a room that I don’t use. Also if ur in nyc u don’t spend too much time home (unless u work from home nowadays) so u don’t need a huge space All that until u make it and move to a loft with a rooftop hahah
Do you plan on making more videos related to finances, especially given your econ background? Because I am watching the Frontline documentary _The Retirement Gamble_ and I have been thinking a lot about that, and you being entrepreneurial, what is your retirement planning like? (But mind you, I am not making the argument at all to "get a real job," I am just curious given you would not have a matching 401k like traditionally employed people).
Oh yeah! And forgot to mention that my water/electricity/WiFi is all included in my rent payment :)
Love your vids! What did you use to find housing? Like any websites or other sources you’d rec?
How many NY'ers live there that probably cant afford it would you say? Just your own personal opinion, doesn't have to be scientific!
So glad this video popped up, I've missed you!

Bought a house at 23 and started building equity for myself. Rent is lighting money on fire 🔥

As a native new yorker I 100% appreciate your grind mentality. I also want to live in the high rise buildings just like you so best wishes to you!!😉

Going to Manhattan for my new grad job this coming summer (I live in Washington state my whole life)! Thanks for the advice!
I was willing to live like that at 22, but nearing 30 I expect more. I live in a cheaper city in New England now.
Love it when you say that this is not forever. Great tips :)
