I can only imagine how fun going to those World Class shows were! Back when this world was such a better place! I get a lot of enjoyment hearing these stories ❤
David Von Erich put Jimmy Garvin over in a clean pin for the Texas title. Jimmy's perfect response when the fans would cheer, "Go, David, Go!" was always, "He's not going anywhere!". Great heel.
Jimmy Garvin actually started in Florida as a heel manager under the name of Beau. James and managed Ray Stevens that was when I became a fan of the business
Originally from San Angelo, watched WCCW on KTTV out of DFW every Sat night. I loved to hate the Freebirds...lol Freebirds Von Erichs to me was the best long running feud ever. I swear you could have just those two groups show up anywhere in TX, and the joint would be packed. People would go watch them just argue on the mic all night. And the fans would go nuts. But I also loved the Great Kabuki, The Missing Link, Bruiser Brody Ice Man King Parsons, JYD. I believe Andre was there for a while to. Really miss those Saturday nights.
These stories involving alcohol is eerily similar to my US Navy stories that also involve alcohol. Spartanburg sounds like Hong Kong Gainsville could be Perth, Australia Richmond reminds me of Singapore The only question would be: who could drink who under the table? That's a question Mr. Owl does not have enough Tootsie Pops to find the answer with.
So entertaining. Could listen to road stories for hours. Only flaw was Briscos lack of mutton chops. But overall it has the feel of eve's dropping on 4 old friends reunited and reminiscing and its F'in awesome.
Being a Farmer Pro Wrestler there are 3 Big Pops in the Business. Of course you have the Austin’s Broken Glass and The Road Warrior’s Pop. But as a Heel most of my career I always wanted to get the “Go Home Freebirds” Pop. Turns of Real legit Heat. Lost Art in the Business Today.
It’s great hearing the Freebirds. My parents spent a many a night at the Sportatorium and Will Rogers in Fort Worth. They had many stories to tell. These guys changed it all
I wouldn't try Gerry for all the money in the world. I was in a establishment in Baltimore and the boy's came in the bar and my gosh if I had died that night my life was complete.
Looking at Micheal the only thing one can think is bad street Atlanta GA Mike's promos man over play flipping the hair walking around the ring 💩 the promo Ric flair I'm tired of saying he's sir , no sir to you .

Michaels hair looks like Moppi, which was the name of the mop in the match with Saturn.

It's sad the way the world has turned into. I have just found you're channel John, fellow Texan here. RIP Buddy and Terry
The fabulous freebird and Von Erichs had rivalries in the 1980s....
I remember seeing Jack and Jerry in Tallahassee when I was a kid, wrestling from the 80s back was the best.
Rest in Peace Terry Gordy and Buddy Jack Roberts
Michael trying to figure out the sound thing is hilarious. Looks like a confused old man 👴

Von Erichs had Jimmy out at the Von Rrich ranch washing the dog and the cars 😊 Funny stuff 😅
Black Bart said Fritz turned it down because he didn't think his kids were ready for worldwide TV

Garvin was not a Freebird! He was a bootleg replacement for Gordy & Roberts
Michael didn't go to any trouble to look good for this.

Jimmy Garvin sounds like Jim Brunzell
Gordon Solie was a alcoholic

I would have liked to hear about Michael's reaction to Steve Austin's 316 for the first time.
Couldn't you just watch it? It's easy to find. 😂
Bad Street is my kinda Street!
The Fabs used Everybody wants you, before the freebirds.
Adrian Street his manager was miss Linda.
PS Hayes looks ridiculous. It’s time to shave the skullet bro!!!
JBL looks like he is in his 30s
